Omg! My daughter recommend your videos to me and I just love you! Ordered your book just now. My daughter is being a vegan/plant base for two years and she’s being trying to get me and my husband (Her Dad) lol into it, but is being impossible🙄we have try everything and nothing works so we just decided we will do this and today I cleaned all my cabinets and my refrigerator. I have set several goals. One of which is to focus on only putting hyper nourishing foods into my body. I have been fully WFPB for 6 months and now I am refining it more. I also want to incorporate meditation on a daily basis and gratitude journaling. I also love brooks shoes! They are so comfortable!
My goal this year is to eat plant based foods and heal my body from inflammation. The typical America diet, which is what I have lived on doesn't seem to work at all. My new GOAL is really your goal from last year, CONQUER the PLANT based way of eating and to base my meals around starch, not meat. I enjoy these 'what you eat in a day' videos they do help us figure out meals and how to eat healthy quickly. I have never been so full in my life, all because PLANT food, who would have thought it was that filling, lol (thanks fiber)!!! I just bought your BOOK!!! Cute family!

I just wanted to say thank you for your "Simple Vegan Mama 28 days to a simple & healthy vegan lifestyle. I ordered right away and enjoy it very much. It has changed my perspective on how I look at the Vegan lifestyle and just eating in general. What a quick and easy read but so very relevant to what I believe every man, women and now children need to know about dieting and how this is made so easy. I will never make a list and go to the grocery store and eat, finish, repeat again. It makes so much sense to shop from your pantry. I plan on doing the 2 meal breakfast, 2 meal lunch and 2 meal dinner and perhaps switching up every week by doing the same thing but adding a new meal to one of the breakfast, lunch or dinner options (just to try some new things once in awhile). But you are right we normally have a stash of our favorites so why not just switch through them. THANKS AGAIN.

Happy new year to you and your family here from Manchester England ❤ Myself and my partner have been plant based for around 5 months now and we love it...we have had a few hiccups over the festive period but I'm not going to be negative about it as we are still learning so much. It's made such a difference to me as I've been waiting for an operation on my foot and due to covid it's been delayed so I wanted to follow a plant based diet to reduce swelling and pain and it's worked so well for me it's amazing...I can manage my pain more and move around doing light gentle exercise to keep my mind motivated. Plant based foods have such a positive effect on mind and body. Both myself and my partner have also lost weight. I'm new to your channel and I'm just looking into your simple meals and we are going to try one out this evening 😋 thankyou for your posts 🥰 xx

I feel pretty good about my weight loss. I’m hoping to take off 8lbs but I’m not gonna feel bad if it doesn’t happen. My goal for this year is to simplify my home. I’m happy with my diet and now I want my house to feel good and easy to manage.

I know this is an older video but back in 2022 in November I decided to go whole food plant-based. Today it is August of 2023 I am still whole food plant-based and it's a lifestyle now not a diet for me. I lost about 10 lb since I started and I'm working towards losing more and getting healthier
I totally agree!! I made plantiful Kiki amd I hated hers and stopped making them for awhile because I couldn’t get that smell or taste out of my mouth and i felt like every time I made it it would taste the same and I wanted no part in that.. so def agree!!! Now I make it all the time when I can get raw cashews which I normally have to drive 45 min to hour to get but so worth it to me.. anyway 🤪
@@LoveIsInTheHouse i find it really good if you leave out the onion powder, I’ve thrown out (recycled) two batches unfortunately but without the onion I could eat the whole thing in one go! But love instant potato version too xox

Yep, I'm binge watching tonight. You make such cute-ass videos. Now I normally make my own pizza dough crust from any number of the Whole Food, Plant-Based doctor's recipe books, and I must say that that pizza looked kinda funky to me. Holes in the pizza crust. What's that about? LOL. I've never tried it, so I'm not going to knock it. I'm just saying, that's a funky pizza crust. Now that I saw you get your own recipe book get delivered to your doorstep, I'm going off to Amazon right now and order it for myself. Cuz who doesn't love and need just one more cookbook. I love cookbooks. Even though you said it's not a recipe book.

I think I would make the pizza with onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushroom and olives. I think the broccoli was an interesting choice. Maybe I'll have to try it one of these days.

Hi! Always motivational to watch your videos. I've started a "potato diet" today. I haven't decided how many days I'm going to do it or to what extent. I know some people do completely plain potatoes for 2 weeks or more. I did season mine and ate with broccoli. Just using this to kind of detox from how terrible I ate for the holidays and to kick start me back to a WFPB diet. Have you ever tried the potato diet? If so, what was your experience?

Hi Linda thank you for being here! Tahini is a great item to eat on a whole food plant based diet, but it is very calorically dense. So I would watch how much you use if you are trying to lose weight. I used it throughout my weight loss; however, about 1 tbsp in a day. No more. Hope that helps.

Hi there. Thanks for being here and congrats on this new journey! I didn’t really track it, I just kind of knew if I ate half an avocado, that’s was about all the fat I would eat. Same with tahini. If I made my dressing, I wouldn’t really eat much more fat per day. So I probably stayed around 15-20g per day. Every one is different though. This is just what I did. Doesn’t mean it’s the correct amount. Hope that helps.
I'm participating in Well Your World's 31 day challenge. My 3 habits I am implementing are 1) Eat a Big Ass Salad 25/31 days, 2) Meditate for 20 minutes 25/31 days, and 3) run/walk 4-6 miles 5days/week.

I use the one Ellen fisher makes but I’m not sure if hers is low fat but I don’t use that much nor do I use it much but was just wondering.. if you do find one please let us all know since the majority of my meals are potatoes it’s just nice to have another sauce to use with them.. thanks

Happy New Year and 5,000 steps is great! Way to go. Regarding the boudin I’m not sure. My husband also was missing some food creole sausage in the red beans I make so I use now the Fieldcrest chorizo flavor sausage and it actually is really good in there. May be worth a try. To me it taste more like Cajun sausage and less like chorizo.
New year stuff- Drinking only occasionally when socializing. Not every Friday and Saturday. 😜. Include weight training in schedule. Watch hungry momma UA-cam 😀
Most plant foods are pretty cheap, that’s one of the many benefits of a plant based diet. Cut the expensive meat and dairy out and groceries are so much cheaper!

Sure. The flavor may change a bit. If you’re using basic potato flakes and nothing else added, that’s about the same processing as rolled oats, and not unhealthy at all. Just potatoes. Potato turned into flakes, wheat, turn into rolled oats.
I've lost 40 lbs since I started eating WFPB on May 25th. I'm stuck with my weight loss and think it's been due to me still eating chocolate. I'm giving up chocolate and committing to working out 6 days a week.
There are just some days I wish I could call you and figure this all out. I'm ready to really get into this way of eating, but I'm on the truck(18wheeler) with my husband and there is seriously no where good to eat. I'm trying to figure out how I can do this on the road...ugh. Even though this is going to be hard I'm going to do it.
I love your determination to get this done 👊🏻 gosh I bet it is challenging, you are so inspiring to me! Do you have any plugs in the truck to plug in an instant pot? Or something to quickly cook warm food?

I love your recipes because they are easy and I can make them with little tweeks so they work for me on the truck. Thank you for responding.that really means a lot. I'm over the meat thing, sugar and even oil for the most part...I just have to drop like 1 diet soda a day. Ugh .it's hard lol

Most of the time yes. About 90% now. If he isn’t it’s just a little cheese usually. This year he is working on that last 10% and hoping to make a full 100% transition.
I’m already only 8 stone (5’7) and I just don’t look like these wfpb UA-camrs with their slim hips :( though I’ve been eating this way for months. I’m a hideous pear shape with a gigantic ass. I don’t want to eat less or exercise more than I already do which is everyday. I’d love to wear jeans and all my lovely clothes but i cover my hips everyday. Trying to stay positive and ‘love’ a body with a shape I simply don’t like is very hard. I’m 37 yo single mother and complimenting myself can only go so far
Keep your head up! Your beautiful no matter your size or shape. I’m no rail thin youtuber either. I have big boobs and they ain’t budging 😂 we all have things about ourselves we aren’t thrilled about, but all we can do is the best we can with what we were given. That’s it. And then from there, learn to love our differences. Love what you were blessed with and take care of it and you’re set. Best of luck to you ❤️

No I didn’t. My hair had gotten thicker and curlier (like it was before I had kids). So much curlier that when I do it straight, I sometimes can’t tame it 🤦🏻♀️😂. My skin had always been pretty clear, but it definitely is more even and glows more. Are you noticing problems?
Hi! Always motivational to watch your videos. I've started a "potato diet" today. I haven't decided how many days I'm going to do it or to what extent. I know some people do completely plain potatoes for 2 weeks or more. I did season mine and ate with broccoli. Just using this to kind of detox from how terrible I ate for the holidays and to kick start me back to a WFPB diet. Have you ever tried the potato diet? If so, what was your experience?

Hi Linda thank you for being here! Tahini is a great item to eat on a whole food plant based diet, but it is very calorically dense. So I would watch how much you use if you are trying to lose weight. I used it throughout my weight loss; however, about 1 tbsp in a day. No more. Hope that helps.

Hi there. Thanks for being here and congrats on this new journey! I didn’t really track it, I just kind of knew if I ate half an avocado, that’s was about all the fat I would eat. Same with tahini. If I made my dressing, I wouldn’t really eat much more fat per day. So I probably stayed around 15-20g per day. Every one is different though. This is just what I did. Doesn’t mean it’s the correct amount. Hope that helps.

Have you found a low fat sour cream sauce yet?? I use the one Ellen fisher makes but I’m not sure if hers is low fat but I don’t use that much nor do I use it much but was just wondering.. if you do find one please let us all know since the majority of my meals are potatoes it’s just nice to have another sauce to use with them.. thanks

Happy New Year and 5,000 steps is great! Way to go. Regarding the boudin I’m not sure. My husband also was missing some food creole sausage in the red beans I make so I use now the Fieldcrest chorizo flavor sausage and it actually is really good in there. May be worth a try. To me it taste more like Cajun sausage and less like chorizo.

Most plant foods are pretty cheap, that’s one of the many benefits of a plant based diet. Cut the expensive meat and dairy out and groceries are so much cheaper!

What about using rolled oats instead of instant mashed potatoes in your cheese sauce? Oats would be less processed and healthier.
Sure. The flavor may change a bit. If you’re using basic potato flakes and nothing else added, that’s about the same processing as rolled oats, and not unhealthy at all. Just potatoes. Potato turned into flakes, wheat, turn into rolled oats.

I've lost 40 lbs since I started eating WFPB on May 25th. I'm stuck with my weight loss and think it's been due to me still eating chocolate. I'm giving up chocolate and committing to working out 6 days a week.

There are just some days I wish I could call you and figure this all out. I'm ready to really get into this way of eating, but I'm on the truck(18wheeler) with my husband and there is seriously no where good to eat. I'm trying to figure out how I can do this on the road...ugh. Even though this is going to be hard I'm going to do it.

Im kind of scared of eating carbs,but I'm going to listen to you ,dr mcdougal and a few others and believe in the process. I love potatoes so it should work out lol. I love your recipes because they are easy and I can make them with little tweeks so they work for me on the truck. Thank you for responding.that really means a lot. I'm over the meat thing, sugar and even oil for the most part...I just have to drop like 1 diet soda a day. Ugh .it's hard lol

Does your husband eat Plant Based also?
Most of the time yes. About 90% now. If he isn’t it’s just a little cheese usually. This year he is working on that last 10% and hoping to make a full 100% transition.
I’m already only 8 stone (5’7) and I just don’t look like these wfpb UA-camrs with their slim hips :( though I’ve been eating this way for months. I’m a hideous pear shape with a gigantic ass. I don’t want to eat less or exercise more than I already do which is everyday. I’d love to wear jeans and all my lovely clothes but i cover my hips everyday. Trying to stay positive and ‘love’ a body with a shape I simply don’t like is very hard. I’m 37 yo single mother and complimenting myself can only go so far
Keep your head up! Your beautiful no matter your size or shape. I’m no rail thin youtuber either. I have big boobs and they ain’t budging 😂 we all have things about ourselves we aren’t thrilled about, but all we can do is the best we can with what we were given. That’s it. And then from there, learn to love our differences. Love what you were blessed with and take care of it and you’re set. Best of luck to you ❤️
