The iconic brothers Gibb (BeeGees) began singing as a group when they were children iin the late '50s and by 2012 had sold over 250,000 million records. They have had No 1 hits in every decade. Sadly, the younger twins, Robin and Maurice, have passed away and only older brother Barry is still living. Their music -- including all the hits they wrote for other artists -- will live forever. Their ability to harmonize naturally is amazing.
@@fredwerza3478 The biggest crime in the music industry was to accept auto tune as a legitimate thing to do in music production. Basically, you can create a song with the sound of someone with ZERO talent. I mean, folks mostly know it, and don't seem to care any more!
70s disco fellas!!! Because I'm a bit you for them but my mum loved them I just did not realise how cool they were. This video shows exactly how cool they were!! Superb musicians
Now that you’ve opened the Bee Gees can, you must listen to Too Much Heaven. Their harmonies are perfection and Barry’s voice is heaven. It’s a panty dropper.
And so many more. How Deep Is Your Love, I Started a Joke, Emotion (Theirs and Samantha Sang's version), Lonely Days, Massachusetts, Jive Talkin', I've Gotta Get A Message To You, on and on
Exactly LT. How many groups do you know of today that you can say that they had 5 decades of hits and they just kept on goin? Yeah, get back to me when you come up with an answer to that one. The BeeGees were insanely cool AND talented. 🔥🔥🔥 None of that phony autotune for these guys. They were always the real deal. ♥♥♥♥💂♀💂♀💂♀😉😉😉
These brothers were all genres over a 50 year period. They kept evolving with over a thousand songs and also wrote for other artists. Musical geniuses. It was the 70s.
1978 "STAYIN' ALIVE" was on the SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER soundtrack. 1982 "STAYIN' ALIVE" was the theme song to STAYIN' ALIVE the movie and sequel to SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER.
This is my generations music, and it's why I never wanted to leave (grow up). Everyone needs to listen to vocalists without auto tune. It really shows where true talent is.
These guys were incredibly talented. Check out the sheer number of songs they have written - for themselves and for other artists. They are the sound of my youth.
They wrote over a 1000 songs and wrote for many top artist! Their music was considered Disco and I loved every song they produced. They had such massive talent it’s unreal to think of and the singing was natural, no auto tune, lots of amazing talent. Sad to think that Barry is the sole survivor of them all. Their younger brother “Andy Gibb” died at 30 and he was very talented as well but got he caught up in the drug scene. Thos group was a massive part of my youth and I enjoy watching your video’s.
And they were around long before the disco movement. My roommate in college was a disco queen. I used to keep a stack of paperbacks next to my bed to throw at her when she was getting ready for her early classes listening to this stuff. Though, I think the BeeGees music from that era held up pretty well. I was much fonder of their '60's hits.
I love it. He said "if you hear this thing first thing in the morning, you about to clean up the house"😂😂😂 PS fellas: this part of the Bee Gee's we're not on drugs. They were just that good. ❤️ Love them all still today.
Watching their reactions is priceless. I've laughed so much at their Righteous Brothers reviews that my sides hurt. Please keep posting these guys. Thanks So Much!
Barry Gibb (lead vocalist) is by far one of the best singers with such an amazing range. FANTASTIC - thanks for reviving one of my favorite songs of the 70s! Long Live Disco!
😲. Can’t believe y’all have never heard of The Bee Gees (aka Brothers Gibb…Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb)! They were the Disco phenomenon in the 70’s! Sooo many great songs! Go down the rabbit hole, & listen to ALL The Bee Gees songs! You won’t regret it!
I love their reactions to the music I often listened to (and disco danced to) in the 70s. Met my husband at a disco and we were married for 46 years! He passed in February this year. Keep exploring those songs! I had fun watching your reactions and enjoyed a blast from the past.
I grew up in the 70s and 80's ... hands down the best era in music ever. We ushered in MTV (back when it only played music) and had just great music. But the Bee Gees started performing in 1958 as a kids group, and as music changed they did as well. They last multiple decades until one of them (Maurice) died in 2003 from a twisted intestine. Robin died in 2012 from Cancer and Barry (the oldest) is still alive and performing at 76.
How can anyone not be familiar with the Bee Gees music? They had hit after hit out for years, were highly talented and legendary. One of the top musical groups of all time. Glad that you finally listened to one of their songs.
They never heard The Beatles either before doing a review of one of their songs so don’t feel bad. Smh. Kids nowadays need to take music history or something.
Hmm! Let’s see I guess there’s rap and hip hop and what else is there! At least that’s probably what they listen to until they have a channel and finally discover other music!
@@bonnieinla how familiar were you, as a younger person, with the music of the early 30s? It is 45 years since Saturday Night Fever. Which is the same time as 1932 to 1977. Soooo......
Yes, indeed. There was once a time when singers actually had to _be able to sing._ On their own. With no help. People went to concerts expected the band to sound the same as on the album. Imagine that. :D Love the Bee Gees, pretty much all of their 70's era stuff is absolute gold. They were the Kings of Disco. Another band you'd like from then is Wild Cherry - check out "Play That Funky Music". Funk was huge, HUGE in the 70's.
These days you take any artist into a recording studio and tell them they can't use a computer to cheat and they just look at you funny like you crazy LOL
These guys performed for more than 50 years before the first one died in 2003!! They were placed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and were recently named as experts in the Australian Songwriters Association just a few weeks ago! Bee Gees stands for Brothers Gibb. They used to sing in their bedroom as kids when Barry (the one in the middle) was 6 and the twins were 3! Their mother thought her sons were listening to the radio but it was actually them singing! The twins are Robin (Red shirt) and Maurice (pronounced Morris). They are a true class act! This song is 1970s disco!! This group performed beginning in the 1950s and their last album was released in 2001! They’ve changed their style over the decades to keep up with the change in music over the years. Listen to a song from the 1960s from this group and then listen to a more recent song and you would NEVER know it was the same group. To Love Somebody is a good one from the 1960s and You Win Again is more recent. Sounds like a different group!! R. I. P. Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!!🫶
I don't know how anyone couldn't like the Bee Gees their songs are classic from this era! I think even John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols likes the Bee Gees and Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters. It's just good music.
This is from the soundtrack album to Saturday Night Fever, which they wrote entirely. This was for a while, the biggest selling album in history. Sad that Barry is the only one left. BeeGees are LEGENDARY!
They did not write the whole Saturday Night Fever album. They wrote seven of the 16 songs. Two of the 7 were on previous Bee Gees albums. Three had been already written and recorded for an upcoming album they were working on. The Bee Gees weren't even asked for songs until the movie was in post production.
@@OhJodi69 to clarify, and i understand your direction, i meant the song in question, not the whole album. I see where my phrasing seemed like the other. Good looking out bud

This is around 1976-77 and they were THE MOST FAMOUS GROUP IN THE WORLD THEN. Only Barry is still living the other two brothers died within the past 12 years. Barry is 76 and is STILL married to the same woman for over 50 years and was faithful to her and they have 4 or 5 kids. They are English but raised in Australia. They started out singing when they were older children. They've had so many hits and they were BFF's with Michael Jackson. Y'all should see the movie Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta dancing if you haven't already came out in 1977. Your friend with the curly mullet is a style from the early to mid 80's. @@paigecat9104 Not to mention their little brother Andy who was just as talented as they were. They wanted him to be in the group from the beginning but he was too young. He died at age 30. It was basically a severe heart problem that came from his years of drug abuse. Cocaine most of all weakened his heart. He had just celebrated his 30th birthday 5 days before his death and the worst part is that Barry, Robin and Maurice were *just about to finally add him to the group. They were about to make him the 4th Bee Gee at last but he died before he could get his chance to finally sing with his brothers just like he always wanted.* It's sad. And even more sad that Barry is the last one left having to live the rest of his life missing all of his brothers terribly. Yes he still has his sister Lesley (the oldest child in the family and the only girl who is never ever talked about at all) but it's still heartbreaking.

True story. If you ever have to do CPR, your pumps should match the beat of this song. There are others, including Star Wars' "Imperial March", but the irony of this song being "Stayin' Alive" and being the correct beat to keep someone alive make it the one to remember. A few suggestions for future reactions (apologies if you've done them, I haven't checked your entire catalogue yet): Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Pentatonix, Alabama 3, Tori Amos, Heilung, Wardruna, the Chi-lites (Oh, Girl, and Have You Seen Her), and Marty Robbins (El Paso, Feleena, and El Paso City, in that order and/or Big Iron). Love the reactions, guys, keep it up! DZ
When I took CPR the instructor told us that we should chest compress to the beat of this song or Another One Bites the Dust. We all laughed but he wasn't kidding. Both have the right tempo, lol.
And believe it or not, it was the one thing that calmed me down when I was giving my fiance CPR. Focused on the music and just kept going until the ambulance arrived.

I grew up in the eighties….and did not appreciate The Bee Gees till I was MUCH older. The more you find out about their talent, the more impressive they become. Love you guys!
After I retired July 2020, I spent 2 years catching up on their songs. I viewed soooo many videos; talk shows; showing their families; their parents; feeling so sad when Maurice and Robin passed. Maurice was the one that was beginning to go bald. He embraced it. I saw a video where he said, "I'm Baldy Bee Gee." Then he smiled and laughed. He was my favorite. There's a video showing Barry at Robin's funeral. He kissed a rose, then placed in on Robin's casket. Michael Jackson was at the funeral. He stayed with Barry for a short time to get away from the troubles in his life. Sir Barry was 'knighted' by Prince Charles, who is now King Charles. Knighted means he received special recognition for his service to the music industry. His brothers received awards posthumously. There is another video where Barry is being interviewed, and tears started to come in his eyes.

The Bee Gees did things with 3 part harmonies that will never be duplicated. Their early stuff, going back to the '60s was mind blowing.
The New York Mining Disaster was one of my faves. I loved the early stuff. When thet went into the Disco shit, I split...
No autotune - just lots of soul.
No auto tune, just plain talent.
Just imagine an age when a computer couldn't help you cheat to get a record contract --- it actually required real talent --- what a concept
@@fredwerza3478 The biggest crime in the music industry was to accept auto tune as a legitimate thing to do in music production.
Basically, you can create a song with the sound of someone with ZERO talent.
I mean, folks mostly know it, and don't seem to care any more!
No autotune, just talent 🤯😎🤯😎
As children they won a radio song contest in Brisbane Australia and the rest is history!
Jive Talkin by the BeeGees is amazing. You Should Be Dancing, too. They have tons of hit songs, they ruled the 70s
Oh yeah; "Jeh-jeh-jeh-J I V E Talkin'..."...classic! Memories of summers at the pool. 🎶🎶
and the 60's - their music won the airwaves for decades - beautiful
The 70's had some incredible music in many different genres.
That's my favourite song of theirs
Love that tune
70s disco fellas!!!
Because I'm a bit you for them but my mum loved them I just did not realise how cool they were. This video shows exactly how cool they were!! Superb musicians
Now that you’ve opened the Bee Gees can, you must listen to Too Much Heaven. Their harmonies are perfection and Barry’s voice is heaven. It’s a panty dropper.
YESSSSSS!! Too Much Heaven! Too Much Heaven! Too Much Heaven! Too Much Heaven! Too Much Heaven! Too Much Heaven!
That's true. If a guy plays a BeeGee's song,... then them panties are coming off mighty fast!lol😂🤣😅
And so many more. How Deep Is Your Love, I Started a Joke, Emotion (Theirs and Samantha Sang's version), Lonely Days, Massachusetts, Jive Talkin', I've Gotta Get A Message To You, on and on
Lol..Naive white people buying the phony reactions!
I feel if you can sing that any woman would be all over you from 20-60 xD
"I don't often admit that someone's fit better hair than me" 🤣🤣🤣 he should've been around in the 70s! Dude is rocking it!

I love your "fro", brother
I was gonna say "jewfro" but I don't wanna make any assumptions. Much respect & love.
I literally laughed so hard!!! I had this “cassette” tape in my room and singin’ and dancing in like 7th grade!!!
Love the 70’s hair on the BeeGees!
You guys are hysterical. Next you have to try “Too Much Heaven”. Then “You Should Be Dancing”.
They’re brothers with 5 decades of hits.
Thanks!
YES!!
Exactly! I’ve loved their music since I first heard them in 1968.
Hysterical = shit 💩💩💩💩
Vocals on that are flawless!
These brothers were all genres over a 50 year period. They kept evolving with over a thousand songs and also wrote for other artists. Musical geniuses. It was the 70s.
This was the SUPER 70s BABY ,,, 8 0df the top 25 biggest selling LPS IN THE USA are from the 1970s .....A true fact
80s swagg my ASS ,,This was 1977
1978 "STAYIN' ALIVE" was on the SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER soundtrack. 1982 "STAYIN' ALIVE" was the theme song to STAYIN' ALIVE the movie and sequel to SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER.
On sale at Peaches record store back then
This is my generations music, and it's why I never wanted to leave (grow up).
I recently read that Andy’s last words were something like, ‘ this isn’t something you can die from is it?’
I love it. He said "if you hear this thing first thing in the morning, you about to clean up the house"😂😂😂 PS fellas: this part of the Bee Gee's we're not on drugs. They were just that good. ❤️ Love them all still today.
Definitely a good first thing in the morning song 😂❤ u definitely havin a good rest of ur day
Bee gees will never go out of style
I'm a Paige too!
they grew up with rap it's not bad too
Y’all funny ! Youth is funny . Bee Gees are iconic ! There will never be anyone like them again!!! Great recap guys I luv The Bee Gees !!!
Classic, stunning talent -- vocals, instruments, arrangements -- all of it. Just one amazing group.
Bee Gee's are a deep rabbit hole!... They have SO many good songs!... You can't go wrong listening to the Brothers Gibb!
I love their reactions to the music I often listened to (and disco danced to) in the 70s. Met my husband at a disco and we were married for 46 years! He passed in February this year. Keep exploring those songs! I had fun watching your reactions and enjoyed a blast from the past.
Hey gentlemen. The Bee Gees are legendary for their falsetto voice. The man you are speaking of is Barry Gibb. He is amazing!
Love watching you young folks liking music from my time! Prolly your grandmas age! Ah, ah,ah, ah staying alive!
Some of these kids parents were likely not even born during the Bee Gees era
They never heard The Beatles either before doing a review of one of their songs so don’t feel bad. Smh. Kids nowadays need to take music history or something.
Hmm! Let’s see I guess there’s rap and hip hop and what else is there! At least that’s probably what they listen to until they have a channel and finally discover other music!
THEY didnt need Auto tone lol
@@bonnieinla how familiar were you, as a younger person, with the music of the early 30s? It is 45 years since Saturday Night Fever. Which is the same time as 1932 to 1977. Soooo......
Yes, indeed. There was once a time when singers actually had to _be able to sing._ On their own. With no help. People went to concerts expected the band to sound the same as on the album. Imagine that. :D
Love the Bee Gees, pretty much all of their 70's era stuff is absolute gold. They were the Kings of Disco. Another band you'd like from then is Wild Cherry - check out "Play That Funky Music". Funk was huge, HUGE in the 70's.
Plus no beats, actual musicians
Heh I loved the way that was stated. But yeah, simpler times.
👍👍👍✌️
I LOVE Play That Funky Music!
These days you take any artist into a recording studio and tell them they can't use a computer to cheat and they just look at you funny like you crazy LOL
I LOVE watching you guys enjoy my 80's music. Your reactions are priceless!!
I'm 57 and I remember this first time around. It still sounds good all these years later. The Bee Gees were the bomb!
When that guy said he had better hair then me i fell out laughing. Barry had better hair than anybody. Loved this reaction.
Hey guys, us Boomers enjoyed this kind of music every day of our teen yeas....aren't you jealous....our generation was the TOPS in good music.
I feel so old everytime I watch you guys 😂 you play some of the best music. I was born in 1963 so I love it 😍
I was too, we had the Best of the 60's,70's and 80's music!
The Bee Gees are amongst, if not the most legendary group ever.
Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees has written a ton of hits for other artists as well.
All 3 brothers wrote for other artists.
Actually, Robin wrote more hits than any of the brothers.
Amazing song writers
R. I. P. Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!!🫶
The BeeGees did so many banging disco hits. Try 'You Should Be Dancing' and Night Fever.
I don't know how anyone couldn't like the Bee Gees their songs are classic from this era! I think even John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols likes the Bee Gees and Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters. It's just good music.
Yes!! “You should be dancing” is my all time fav, that one will def make ya wanna get up and dance!!!
Before disco the had some hits like New York Mining Disaster, I've just Gotta Get a Message to you, very serious and dramatic!?
Honestly this guy's voice is too amazing to even be real sometimes. These guys could do it on request live, no autotune no backing tracks. I wish I really got into these guys earlier in my life but I'm glad I eventually went down the rabbit hole
Stayin' Alive STILL gets me movin' and groovin' to this day! Take me to a dance party and play this one and watch me go!!!
Absolute GOLD lads! Bee Gees 3 Australian Brothers and we're super proud. "You should be dancing" brilliant.
No British originally and then brought up in Australia then came back and made it in England.
@@mataform ha ha we Aussies love to claim the golden talent, we do it to the Kiwis all the time (yeah they love that) 🤨
They were born on the Isle of Man. There's a statue of them on the main High Street
So technically they're Manx
Guys, this is great!! You have to hear more of them! The best group ever! Wrote their own music and never a bad song!! Thanks for sharing!!❤❤❤❤
Many white men permed their hair in the 70's it's funny and some of them look ridiculous your friend ought to get a 70's fro!
Barry bought Johnny Cash's house and a worker threw a lit cigarette on the recently treated wood porch and burned it to the ground.
@@brendaclark8344 Wow, I didn't know how it burned!
@@brendaclark8344 I'm sorry just saw your reply now! THAT'S AWFUL! How Irresponsible! Was it in Nashville? I am from Knoxville, TN East of Nashville. We don't always get wind of everything like that goes on in middle TN. THAT IS SO STUPID! You don't throw a cigarette on a old wood porch! And it's rude to do that at someone's house whether it's Barry or anybody. Most smokers I've known in the past will wet their cigarette under a faucet and throw it in the trash and won't even smoke in your house. Responsible smokers are respectful of others. I assume he was fired and I wonder if charges were pressed?
@@truthseeker9249 Oh I know! I remember when he died and was shocked! His poor mother how hard that was on her for going through losing her baby boy he was the youngest and was a Mama's boy which isn't a bad thing but precious. I remember he dated Victoria Principle and she broke up with him due to his drug use and the public really blamed her for dumpling him and she let them didn't reveal till later why. That's grace. He was so talented and handsome like Barry.

When you finally figure out music has beats per minute and tempo 🙄
@@jeffcivjeep7 i love music but im tone deaf. just like phineas and ferb i aint got rhythm so a familiar song helps
Yes, I was taught that too in CPR training! This song will live on in many ways we cannot imagine!! 🙂
These guys launched out of Redcliffe, Queensland-Australia. Small seaside town in North Brisbane, Australia. One of my fav places in the world to live. No auto-tune..straight banger that will never get too old!

I grew up listening to all genres of music from country, rap, pop, rock, blues and r&b from all eras. Growing up my mom would listen to the Bee Gees nonstop. So alot of sentimental memories come from the Bee Gees. Memories with my mother that will last a life time. They are genius and legends.
this song we use for chest compressions while doing cpr, this is the right tempo..
And great song of Course, love the BeeGees! 🎶🎤💜
this song, or "another one bites the dust" works too lol
I learned CPR that way!
You guys are fun 🤣🤣🤣🥰 from where I come from in Redcliffe, Australia. Love them and I reeeeaaaally enjoy you guys! It’s so much fun watching you and others enjoy new music. They have some fantastic songs - keep going! It’s an absolute pleasure to watch you guys reactions 👍💥💥💥💥💥💥❤️

Y’all need to review more Bee Gees. The skills are unmatched.
I used to come home from kindergarten and my oldest sister had the disco mat out on the living room floor, trying to teach me to dance! Great memories! 😉♥️
It's amazing how the Younger Generations have started listening to 60's, 70's, even 80's. When it wasn't that long ago that they Laughed about it all. All I can say is, Welcome to the Older people. Not so bad now, IS IT😊
They have insanely ridiculous vocals 😱 and they’re the kings of harmonizing. Check out their songs: Too Much Heaven, How Deep is your Love, Night Fever, and Tragedy 🔥🔥🔥
The main guy with the fly hair is Barry Gibb and he is the second most successful song writer in history. 16 billboard #1s...The Bee Gees had 9 #1's, 15 top 10 hits and 43 in the top 100s. Legends
They were a very soulful group! This tune was one of their many popular ones! My mom had their album. One of the head runners of the Disco era.
Great harmony, great hair...super cool dudes! Nothing duplicated or could imitate the Gibb Brothers
The Bee Gees are legendary!!! The brothers. So much talent. Sadly, only one is alive now.

I can’t for the life of me understand people who purposely stick to one genre of music. I’m always so happy to see reactors like y’all explore music that is new to you. Real ones know that all music is inspired by each other across all genres. You don’t have to like it all but to refuse to listen is a sin fr.
Yes, as a lover of all genres of music, I agree. I raised my daughter and now my grandkids to love all types of music. My 18 y/o granddaughter tells me, people/friends, always ask her how do you know this song? -from 60s/70s/80s/90s...LOL
