Love your reactions man! Now you just need to do VoicePlay, and then you've seen the top 3 acapella groups out there. Here are some recommendations for each of the three. Keep up the great videos! Pentatonix : They have a song called "Love Again" which is an original song. Which I think based on your other videos that you would absolutely love this song. VoicePlay : I'd recommend starting off with The Oogie Boogie Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas .. They did an amazing job covering it and you'll get to hear their amazing bass Geoff (Pronounced Jeff). Him, Avi and Tim are without a doubt the top 3 basses out there. Geoff is my personal favorite. Home Free : They're my least favorite out of the 3 but they're still great. I'd recommend watching their cover of the song Mayday I really think you'll like that too.
You're becoming one of my favorite reactors LOL , love you're energy !! I love PTX, Home Free, Voice Play and Voctave . But most of all I love Avi ( solo or in PTX) . His new music is phenominal ( Change on the rise, I'll get by, Full Moon and many more) , but most of all the tone of his voice , and that's more important to me than how low you can go. I have now request, anything from this groups is great, you can't go wrong !!
The members of Home Free are as follows: Tim, the bass (with long black hair) not named Avi; Adam, the beatboxer; Austin, tenor (with long hair); Rob, tenor (with glasses and beard); and Chris, tenor (with cowboy hat, also brother to Adam). However, this is an older video and Chris has left the group to pursue a solo career. He has been replaced with Chance, barritone, who has an incredible range like Tim and will take over the bass part when Tim sings lead. You should definitely check out more of Home Free and Pentatonix as there really isn't a bad song between them; there just may be some you like more than others.
Chris Rupp was and continues to be a baritone. Like most pro vocalists, he has an excellent range. Chris sings most of the tenor range naturally - and well. For the HF group, Adam Chance replacing Chris is a big plus because he can also cover the bass line when Tim takes the lead. When Tim and Chance harmonize in the low registers, it's ear candy buried in the buffet.
I watched both groups on the Voice. Pentatonix was on first, they came back to help Home Free the next season. ihe videos can be found on UA-cam for both groups.
Home Free - Country Roads, Man of Constant Sorrow, Love Train, Hill Billy Bone - to give you some variety in their music. They are hilarious as well as amazingly talented.
I know it's a Christmas song, but you should check out Home Free's.......Do you hear What I hear. The arrangement is awesome. Great reaction. Thank you
Another new sub. I came for the PTX , but Home Free works just as well. You will not find a bad song between them, even ones that may seem "out of your wheelhouse" will suck you in. In fact, it is not unusual to prefer the covers over the originals.
PTX and Home Free won their respective seasons of the Sing Off but except for PTX visiting them on their season, I don't know of an instance where they all sang together. New sub requesting Can't Hold Us by PTX. You'll get a kick out of it. It's my fav.
Both groups won the Sing-Off - Pentatonix in season 3 and Home Free the next year in season 4. Difference is that Home Free were already singing as a professional group for years before the Sing-Off, while Pentatonix got together just one day before their Sing-Off audition. Yes, they had to learn to sing together and perfect their arrangements during the competition. Mitch even missed his high school graduation to compete in the Sing-Off. The result was magic. Unfortunately, after season 5 NBC cancelled the Sing-Off, so it is no more.
High notes are shared by Rob Lundguist and Austin Brown. Tim Foust is their bass, and he is famous, too, like Avi. Home Free won TV contest 2 years after PTX, and also formed and met just a few days before their first contest performance. Love, love, LOVE both groups! Ever song they do is magical. Glad that you, too, enjoy them tremendously.
Yes you should definitely listen to VoicePlay. They are another amazing group with a true Bass, Geoff Castellucci. Try OOGIE BOOGIE'S SONG The Nightmare Before Christmas
I just discovered your channel due to this song, and being a Home Fry! Oh, there is so much more to Home Free than you could ever imagine! They are the only Country A Capella group, but they’re so much more! They cover many genres, and as of last September, released an album with 10 original songs (4 are co-written by 2 members) and 2 awesome covers. They’re not only talented, but a great group of guys!! It’s official. I am a new subscriber who hopes to see more Home Free reactions because your reaction was priceless! It was so genuine, and I can tell that you really enjoyed the song.
These guys won the second season of The Sing Off and I've had the lovely pleasure of seeing them live. Tim (The guy with the longer hair) sings that really low bass. Avi probably jumped in this video for fun. ❤️ I think everyone misses Avi in general. 😊
Man of Constant Sorrow, Can't Stop the feeling, Do You Hear What I Hear, Catch Me if You Can, Timeless, The Butts Remix... Home Free's good! You'll get lots of suggestions. VoicePlay has a skit out called Road Trip. It's funny as heck. Straight No Chaser - Thriller / Uptown Funk and The Christmas Can Can. Lots of good music out there! Thank you! ^_^
LOVED your reaction! I love both Pentatonix and Home Free. Knowing how you like Avi's bass, I was excited to see your reaction to Tim's low note at the end. Pentatonix and Home Free actually won the competition "The Sing Off" in back to back years. Thanks for a great reaction.
Welcome to the rabbit hole, Jase! Once you've jumped into Pentatonix (aka PTX) and Home Free, it's hard not to just binge watch as much as you can! PTX is more modern pop, Home Free is Country. Pick your flavor! You have a long ways to go to catch up! Enjoy the ride and thanks for the great reactions!! Love seeing what everyone else thinks of the groups I love!
I've watched many reactions to Pentatonix and other artists, and this is probably my favourite one! Thanks for making my day happier :D Greetings from South America!
If you love Avi’s low bass I highly recommend “Black is the Color of my True Loves Hair” by Peter Hollens and Avi Kaplan. Also, any of Avi’s new solo work. Digging your channel, bro!
Home Free won The Sing-Off the year after PTX. The members are : Tim Foust, bass (the guy singing double lead with avi) Adam Rupp, beatboxer Austin brown, tenor (long curly hair) Rob Lundquist, tenor? (short brown hair, beard) Chris Rupp, baritone? (cowboy hat). Chris left the group in 2016 and was replaced with Adam Chance, baritone (reffered to as just Chance) They're more country while PTX is more pop, although there's been a few crossovers in style. For Home Free recommendations, some one my personal favorites are Hilbilly bone, Auld Lang Syne, In the Blood and Champagne Taste (on a beer budget)
Welcome to a whole new musical world! If you really want bass, check out voiceplay and their oogie boogie song. It’s INSANE! Also for sheer mastery in acapella, Pentatonix version of Gold and Daft Punk are ridiculously good. Lastly, Kevin Olusula, the Pentatonix beat boxer has his own UA-cam channel and the guy is amazingly talented beatboxing while playing the cello. Dude, you have so much to react to! Great job with the reactions. Keep em coming!
Welcome to Home Free. And yes.. Tim actually has a greater than 5 octave range and he hit the final note, and he actually taught Avi to reach lower notes than he already had. Each of them are incredible in different ways, Avi more classic, Tim more country, .. Tim blows subwoofers. lol. And yes, their beatboxer Adam is also a freak of nature. For more low notes from Tim, try Home Free's version of Man of Constant Sorrow, Your Man, Talking Out Loud/Lets Get It On, and... try Peter Holland with Tim Foust doing Misty Mountains, the note at the end vibrates the camera.
Home Frees new video of Go Rest High on That Mountain is absolutely stunning as is How Great Thou Art. Another outstanding, different type of group is Voctave. They have soo many great songs, but I think the Great Movie Medley is one of my faves. Also love Voiceplay. So many outstanding groups that all offer something a little different
You will have a bunch of home fries to your channel if you do Homee Free as well. I love Home Free and some of PTX. Great reaction. Home Free does have a sick beatboxer Adam Rupp. Please check out man of constant sorrow or may day or my church. All great songs.
Three things to search on UA-cam (search responsibly): "bass battle" (bass trigger warning, duh), "VoicePlay Oogie Boogie Man" (bass trigger warning), "Home Free drum solo". Not for the faint of heart; you have been warned.
This may not be everyone's cup of tea when it comes to music, but the rendition Home Free done of 'How Great thou Art' is simply beautiful, the melodies and harmonics is breathtaking!!

I really recommend Homefree's cover of Friends in Low Places and Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens ft Tim Foust (the guy who did the absurdly low note at the end)!!!
😂🤣😂.....Love it ❤️ Avi blows me away with everything. You MUST do Change on the Rise! And all his other solo stuff. There are also a few songs by Avriel (Avi) and the Sequoias that are a completely different vibe but wonderful as well.

I stumbled upon your channel today with your *first* PTX listening and have since watched all of them. Then watched Avi's Change on the rise & you're reaction to Avi is AMAZING. But NOTHING BEAT your reaction on this video when he hits the floor with his voice. I actually cackled! Freakin' hilarious. Love it. And appreciate the good laugh!
If you love bass singers, you should check out another group "Voctave". And enjoy another Christmas present listening to "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" Three incredible basses in that group, but I really like the first bass singers voice the most.
Okay, well no need to suggest Home Free now, since you’ve seen/heard them now. Now all that’s left is to suggest more Home Free. Make sure to listen to some with both Chris and Chance in them. (This vid had Chris.) If I were to make a suggestion or two, In the Blood (originally by John Mayer) and How Great Thou Art. Really, though, you can’t go wrong with Home Free.
I know it’s nowhere near Christmas, but Home Free’s version of “Do You Hear What I Hear”. The bass will blow. Your. Mind. I’ve been a huge fan of PTX since they were first on the sing off and Home Free being their successors is perfect. They are both groups of astounding artists!
My brother used to sing this, and play the piano, on which had added thumb tacks to the hammers. I had not heard it since then, when I was about 16. I'm now 78. So, THANK YOU!!
Tim foust is the bass for home free he can definitely go lower than avi he actually taught avi a few things and helped avi to sing lower but they are both amazing basses you should definitely check out more of home free. I'm loving your channel! When you get around to checking out Avi's solo music, keep in mind that all the background vocals are also his voice. It gives you an idea of how wide his range is.
MORE HOME FREE!!! A little about Home Free: Tim is the bass with the long dark brown hair, he can also sing really high and can go a lot lower than Avi. Austin is the other long haired lighter brown hair. He sings the super high notes. Adam is the beat boxer and is so amazing, he has the bandana. Rob is the one with the really long beard. He is sort of baritone and he can sing a bit higher as well. Chris has the cowboy hat. He is like Rob but higher but lower than Austin. He dropped the group recently and they now have Adam Chance whom is known as Chance. Chance was previously in another group and he can sing high and low but not as low as Tim. With Chance around, Tim is able to sing high like in their cover of Mayday. They won The Sing Off Season 4. You should watch a lot of Home Free because the Home Fries will come and you will have a whole other fan base watching your videos. I recommend Mayday, Country Fried Pop Medley, The Butts Remix, In the Blood and Take Me Home, Country Roads. I promise you will love them!

He has been replaced with Chance, barritone, who has an incredible range like Tim and will take over the bass part when Tim sings lead. You should definitely check out more of Home Free and Pentatonix as there really isn't a bad song between them; there just may be some you like more than others.
SilentHunter245 Even if Chris is a tenor, he actually fills the baritone spot in their arrangements.
Add to this Austin is the one hitting the highs
I watched both groups on the Voice. Pentatonix was on first, they came back to help Home Free the next season. ihe videos can be found on UA-cam for both groups.
"This is not what we do on this channel."
Oh, honey... yes it is.
Old Johnny cash song brought sooooo up to date:-)
Home Free - Country Roads, Man of Constant Sorrow, Love Train, Hill Billy Bone - to give you some variety in their music. They are hilarious as well as amazingly talented.
I know it's a Christmas song, but you should check out Home Free's.......Do you hear What I hear. The arrangement is awesome. Great reaction. Thank you
I love that arrangement. It’s just haunting.
@@true2unn I agree and from a pure sound effects and vocal range/talent perspective, one of their best arrangements - which is saying a lot.
Another new sub. I came for the PTX , but Home Free works just as well. You will not find a bad song between them, even ones that may seem "out of your wheelhouse" will suck you in. In fact, it is not unusual to prefer the covers over the originals.
Only PTX can make me enjoy songs I otherwise dislike. Can't Hold Us, No, Gold are a few I prefer their covers over the originals.
PTX and Home Free won their respective seasons of the Sing Off but except for PTX visiting them on their season, I don't know of an instance where they all sang together. New sub requesting Can't Hold Us by PTX. You'll get a kick out of it. It's my fav.
Yes VoicePlay
Also: Home Free with Oak Ridge Boys: Elvira
Another excellent cover by Home Free also featuring the original artists: Oak Ridge Boys!
Oh this is one of my favourites!
YO! I was gonna comment that! Hahhaha
I fourth that motion. Elvira blew me away. :-)
Yes!!!! Do Elvira! So amazing! I love PTX and Home Free, but honestly I think I like Home Free a little more.
Dude, I can't wait for all the dozens of reactions about to happen. Also, black is the color of my True love's hair. Nuff said.
the most epic Avi in that
Yes!
Yes....up
I just discovered your channel due to this song, and being a Home Fry!
I don’t know if this has been suggested.
Misty Mountains: Peter Hollens feat Tim Foust
These guys won the second season of The Sing Off and I've had the lovely pleasure of seeing them live. Tim (The guy with the longer hair) sings that really low bass. Avi probably jumped in this video for fun. ❤️
I think everyone misses Avi in general. 😊
Samantha Roebuck Wait. I thought PTX won season 3 & HomeFree won the following year. Bc PTX came back for a visit & thats where Avi met them. 🤷♀️
Yes they won season 4
The members are :
Tim Foust, bass (the guy singing double lead with avi)
Adam Rupp, beatboxer
Austin brown, tenor (long curly hair)
Rob Lundquist, tenor? (short brown hair, beard)
Chris Rupp, baritone? (cowboy hat). Chris left the group in 2016 and was replaced with Adam Chance, baritone (reffered to as just Chance)
They're more country while PTX is more pop, although there's been a few crossovers in style.
Glad you finally got to them! They are amazing! Voice Play Oogie Boogie is a great one!
I agree with you, up up up up
Your reactions are so refreshing! Thank you for having an open mind and embracing all music!
Austin is the high tenor. They are all amazing.
3:15...I had the same reaction. Which is why I subscribed and clicked the notification button! I think I would die if Geoff, Tim, and Avi did a battle of the bass type thing. Like seriously, my brain would explode. But I'd die with a smile on my face!
Home Free, "Seven Bridges Road," originally by the Eagles, is a MUST react.
Mr
That was a Great reaction, one of the best ever. Love Avi, but I am a huge Home Free fan !! They call us Home Fries and if you react to Home Free we will be here listening !!
Love PTX and Home Free! If you want to hear another great bass, you should check out Queen in 5 Minutes by Voiceplay! Love your reactions.
Thanks for the Home Free! Tim's last note was fire.More Please. The beatboxer may be the best out there right now. Got to do Tim and Peter Hollins Misty Mountains cover
Please listen to Helplessly Hoping by Home Free. I wouldn't believe anyone saying it's badly done after listening to it. Many of us have subscribed to your channel for more Home Free content. Don't disappoint us.
Yes!!!!
Ive watched this a number of times. You're reaction feels so much like how I felt seeing this the first time. Avi is king in my opinion. Maybe not the deepest voice but by far the best richest smoothest voice. Keep this up please. I love watching your ptx and homefree reactions.
You might want to check out Misty Mountains with Peter Hollins and Tim Foust.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
when they changed the tempo and you said 'I wasn't ready for this' I think was the reaction we all had, watching it the first time haaahaha. and your jumping about and not being able to contain the sheer excitement resembles my own. I just do it bouncing on the sofa with hands flailing in the air. subscribed btw.
You have got to react to Voiceplay’s version of Oogie Boogie Song. Their bass, Geoff, is really astonishing as well. Plus, this song shows his incredible range
Yess..please....up bro...up
Yeah, at the end he hits five different octaves within ten seconds.
OMG, while om lockdown here in Virginia I have found a lot of new youtubers. I loved you reaction there home fry.
More Home Free please.
Stay safe, keep faith and spread the love over this net while we still can
( Edited) I am a new sub.
FOX
Great to see you reacting to Home Free, and I look forward to seeing more reactions to them from you. If you love the bass, (and who doesn't 😉) you could try their version of Hillbilly Bone or In the Blood.
this was such a good reaction!! i was smiling the whole time. i’m so glad you found pentatonix, superfruit, and avi!!!
i know that face, you fell in love with avi from that bass alone. totally understandable.
This was great!! I love how both Tim and Avi do their Bass Face before they really get into the low notes! If you want another one that will knock your socks off, do Home Free "Man of Constant Sorrow"!! You won't be sad that you did!
Oh yes, Voiceplay next, their bass will vibrate your teeth.
And vibrate my soul
I freaking luuuuv it when Jase pauses it and just looks into the cam like, "wow" without saying a word! Gets me weeeeak!!!
Definitely check out VoicePlay!! Their bass is absolutely amazing (my favorite personally), and if you want BASS go for Oogie Boogie's Song!!!
Just joined your Patreon❣️ I absolutely LOVE your REACTIONS 🥰❣️ Tim Foust is doing the High parts! There are 12 members to HOME FREE! 💞 ALOHA FROM HAWAI'I 💞🌹 LYSSA 🌹
If you really want to hear a song by Home Free where they are in their country element, try their cover of "My Church"
This is a fave of mine. Not a big fan of the original though.
Anything with Tim Foust (the bass singer from Home Free) is going to have phenomenal low notes. If you want extended low notes from him, listen to Friends in Low Places by Home Free and Misty Mountains by Peter Hollens (another a capella singer)
You have to react to "Black is the color of my true loves hair" by Peter and Avi Kaplan
Then you will see the bass of his voice
Bwahahahahahahahaha...LOVE your reactions to the basses! That F#1(?) at the end and your reaction were hilarious! Welcome to being a Home Fry.
If you really want to hear an insane voice check out Chris Stapleton's Sometimes I Cry @ The Bing Lounge
"Warriors" by Voiceplay would be a great choice for the next one ;)
Up
If you love bass singers, you should check out another group "Voctave". And enjoy another Christmas present listening to "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch"
Three incredible basses in that group, but I really like the first bass singers voice the most.
I think he is happy where he is now.
Voice play is the other group their bass Geoff can also go lower than avi he’s an amazing bass as well but Tim can still go the lowest of the 3 I personally like Tim the best but it’s all personal preference lower doesn’t mean better
You should hear Home Free sing MAN Of CONSTANT SORROW! Tim Foust is much deeper than Avi Kaplan.
I've only watched 4 videos of your channel so far, but I really love how you already fanboy for these basses ;) totally can relate to that though 🙈 love your reactions, please keep up with it, sweety.
If you have not reacted to Avi Kaplan's "Change On The Rise" yet... DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Julie. Change on the Rise is the best!!
This. Yes!!! His solo stuff is amazing.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your PTX and Home Free reactions! Please do more!! Definitely one of the best reactions I've seen to both these groups. Recommendations are: Daft Punk (PTX), Aha! Live Singapore (PTX), Hillbilly Bone (Home Free) and Feeling Myself (Superfruit - 2/5 PTX members)
Home Free - Man of constant sorrow.
Oogie Boogie Song - Voiceplay . You are going to love it
I have to recommend 'Oogie Boogie's Song' by VoicePlay - I think the bass in that, Geoff, will make you walk off more than once!
Mr. Bass is actually Tim, their usual bass. Give credit where credit is due!
I'm loving your channel! When you get around to checking out Avi's solo music, keep in mind that all the background vocals are also his voice. It gives you an idea of how wide his range is.
More home free
This is one of your most funny reactions. Loved it. Avi obviously give you eargasm. 😂😂😂
MORE HOME FREE!!!
A little about Home Free:
Tim is the bass with the long dark brown hair, he can also sing really high and can go a lot lower than Avi.
Yeah! My 4th video in and I’ve got a new-to-me band to binge. You don’t disappoint! Thanks!
