Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Kevin can beatbox AND play the cello at the same time? The man is talented but DAMN! That's some skill!! Always love anything PTX or Lindsey Stirling does but together they are freaking amazing!!

My favourite is PTX's version of "Say Something". Kevin plays the cello in that too. Avi gets featured a bit more in that as well.
He can sing too. He sings in a few of their songs. He has a very smooth and warm tenor/baritone voice

Some of us call ourselves Avrielites. Of course, he's now recording as Avi Kaplan, not Avriel and the Sequoias, but I still like it. It also rhymes with Israelites, which matches his Jewish ethnicity, so...it's a good name, I think. I believe Christy Mudalier came up with it originally.

This is the first video i saw of Lindsay and Pentatonix. I showed it to my granddaughter and she was hooked as well. Both are amazing. You need to check out Lindsay Sterling's videos as well.
This is the very first song I heard by Pentatonix - years ago. I became an instant fan.
This is the cover that introduced me to both of them so many years ago... Now I have all of each of their albums on vinyl, and have seen both in concert. PTX and Lindsey are both so amazing.
This was the video where I first saw Lindsey Stirling. I had just become a Pentaholic after seeing the Hallelujah video right after they released it, and was binge-watching their videos and came across this one. Became an instant Lindsey fan too.
This is my Ultimate Trifecta. I absolutely adore Pentatonix, Lindsay Sterling and Imagine Dragons. I'll be in my bunk....

This is the song on wich i fell in love with PTX. Since then liked everything that they do, they are so creative, talented and versatile. They've grown so much and i love every step of it. I was fangirling for avi so much and was sad when he left, but Matt is an awesome Singer as well. Its just amazing listening to them whenever they appear anywhere.

I cant tell you how many times I’ve seen this music video and without fail every time i get chills. Imagine dragons, PTX and Lindsay are 3 of my favorite musicians so when they released this years ago I was so enamored. Still today I listen to this rendition at least once every few days♥️

One of the things I love about this video is Kevin gets to show off his cello playing. I love the original by Imagine Dragons, but I also love this version.
While I am listening with headphones, that is only so I don't shake my roommate out of his bed, it being 9:28 pm right now. If this were daytime, I have an excellent pair of speakers capable of handing 170W each. My amplifier won't put out that much, but it is more than capable of making me feel like I'm in an earthquake.
On the goggles, check out Steam Powered Giraffe. Rabbit wears the goggles. If you haven't watched them yet, start with "Automatonic Electronic Harmonic." Also "Honeybee" was written by Rabbit. They have a whole backstory of where their characters came from, and they are very entertaining.

Once the holiday season starts you should look into "Mary did you know" by Pentatonix. Moves me to tears every time and everyone I've shown it to gets goosebumps.
Another great acapella group is BYU Vocal Point. They were on Sing Off with Pentatonix( I think) and they are fantastic. My favorites are Go the Distance, Homeward Bound, and Nearer my God to Thee. They are great and I think you’ll love them!
Homeward Bound was used as shorthand "I love you, i'll wait however long i need to for you" by a girlfriend communicating with her guy on a submarine. Ten word message limit. It fit. I had to find it. I love Vocal Point's version.
If you like this, you'd love 2CELLOS! It's two brothers from Croatia covering classic rock, movie soundtrack medleys, and other more modern songs... with just 2 cellos. Their cover of AC/DC "Thunderstruck" and Guns 'n' Roses "Welcome to the Jungle" are incredible (just like everything else they produce 😂)
Love, love, love this. I I already have this in my music library, but I remember the first time I heard it I was very surprised because I didn’t think anyone could top the original by Imagine Dragons.

This is like the second PTX song I ever heard. It sunk the hook that Mary Did You Know hooked me with off of a UA-cam suggestion. Been a Pentaholic ever since.
"Quite cute"? Kirsten is freakin' gorgeous. Her crooked smile when she sings IS quite cute, however.
If you haven't listened to Dirty Loops- Hit me you are in for a crazy and amazing ride! They have the most creative music and throw in some pop jazz into the mix. And you'll never see anyone who can riff as fast as the lead singer and who has a crazy range!!

Oh my gosh finally someone gives at least some recognition to the Kendrick Lamar version of that song. His part may sound a little bit hysterical but that gives a very certain mood and atmosphere which is perfect for an apocalypse song.
The live performance they did together on an awards show (can't remember which one) is insane. I watch it all the time.

I didn't hear you mention it, but Kevin in addition to doing his beat boxing was also playing the cello. Beat boxing is difficult enough, but to combine it with the cello adds a whole other layer to it. Also if you look into other videos, Kevin has a beautiful tenor voice.

True story: My wife had me listen to this when it came out (Knew nothing of these people, wife didn't know of them either but liked this). I was using some crap $4.99 earbuds and I wasn't impressed w/ this track. It wasn't until Evolution of Music came out and I heard that I became a huge fan and fell down the 7+ year long PTX hole now. (Improving my hearing devices shortly after that helped a ton.)

i totally love it that you're one of very very few Music Reaction UA-camr that wears Headphones . i watched so many Music Reactions and so many of them wear either Headphones or Earbuds . And in my Head i always think its very important to use either one of these Tools it makes the hole Experience soo much better specially for Acapella Music .
