Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Kevin can beatbox AND play the cello at the same time? The man is talented but DAMN! That's some skill!! Always love anything PTX or Lindsey Stirling does but together they are freaking amazing!!
When you get a chance, check out the Behind the Scenes that's linked at the end. If nothing else, for Avi's infamous SuperFrown. Pentaholics and Avi-cionados will know exactly what I'm talking about.
@@BlueStar4040 Actually, that's my own term. Most of the folks in the Avi Kaplan Official Fan Group use Avi-holics, but I found that too similar to you-know-what, so I came up with my own.
@@charlottevan_8 "you know what"? So... Is that how it works? We just don't bring it up in front of him? (I'm a pentaholic since like 3-4 monts so pretty late to the party, just asking tho lol)
Some of us call ourselves Avrielites. Of course, he's now recording as Avi Kaplan, not Avriel and the Sequoias, but I still like it. It also rhymes with Israelites, which matches his Jewish ethnicity, so...it's a good name, I think. I believe Christy Mudalier came up with it originally.
This was the video that made me fall in love with PTX. I love all of their looks in this, and I also loved that one moment with Avi! X'D He was so gorgeous in this... they all were! So happy to see you appreciate it like we all do!
This is the cover that introduced me to both of them so many years ago... Now I have all of each of their albums on vinyl, and have seen both in concert. PTX and Lindsey are both so amazing.
I am with you...this arrangement ROCKS! Thanks for making a video about it. P.S. I am really enjoying your videos. Thank you for taking the time to make them! :)
This is the song on wich i fell in love with PTX. Since then liked everything that they do, they are so creative, talented and versatile. They've grown so much and i love every step of it. I was fangirling for avi so much and was sad when he left, but Matt is an awesome Singer as well. Its just amazing listening to them whenever they appear anywhere.
I cant tell you how many times I’ve seen this music video and without fail every time i get chills. Imagine dragons, PTX and Lindsay are 3 of my favorite musicians so when they released this years ago I was so enamored. Still today I listen to this rendition at least once every few days♥️
This was the video where I first saw Lindsey Stirling. I had just become a Pentaholic after seeing the Hallelujah video right after they released it, and was binge-watching their videos and came across this one. Became an instant Lindsey fan too.
This is the first video i saw of Lindsay and Pentatonix. I showed it to my granddaughter and she was hooked as well. Both are amazing. You need to check out Lindsay Sterling's videos as well.
I found Lindsey when this video came out and I have been a fan of her's ever since. I just found your channel today through the Pentatonix videos and was going to recommend this. Then I checked your map. So glad others recommended it and that you have found Lindsey too. Shatter Me and Roundtable Rival are my recommendations for her.
This was the video that introduced me to Lindsey Stirling. I had been a fan of Pentatonix since the Sing-Off but when I watched this, I saw Lindsey and went "Who is THAT????" And that sent me down a whole other rabbit hole of amazing music.
Love, love, love this. I I already have this in my music library, but I remember the first time I heard it I was very surprised because I didn’t think anyone could top the original by Imagine Dragons.
Did anyone else notice that one horse hair from Kevin's bow had snapped? It was at 4:53 and you can just barely see it, if you pause right there you can see it.
Another great acapella group is BYU Vocal Point. They were on Sing Off with Pentatonix( I think) and they are fantastic. My favorites are Go the Distance, Homeward Bound, and Nearer my God to Thee. They are great and I think you’ll love them!
Homeward Bound was used as shorthand "I love you, i'll wait however long i need to for you" by a girlfriend communicating with her guy on a submarine. Ten word message limit. It fit. I had to find it. I love Vocal Point's version.
Lindsey has some serious music on her own. She didn't pull off the win in AGT, BUT SHE AND Litzy Hale showed them by performing "Shattered" live. Simply incredible!
Some recommendations: Cheerleader, Aha! Singapore addition, Waving through a window, Misbehavin', Royals, White winter hymnal, Carol of the bells, Can you feel the love tonight, Sing, Radioactive, Despacito X Shape of you, Can't help falling in love, Take on Me, Problem( Mitch raps). These are some of my favorites
i totally love it that you're one of very very few Music Reaction UA-camr that wears Headphones . i watched so many Music Reactions and so many of them wear either Headphones or Earbuds . And in my Head i always think its very important to use either one of these Tools it makes the hole Experience soo much better specially for Acapella Music .
Once the holiday season starts you should look into "Mary did you know" by Pentatonix. Moves me to tears every time and everyone I've shown it to gets goosebumps.
This is like the second PTX song I ever heard. It sunk the hook that Mary Did You Know hooked me with off of a UA-cam suggestion. Been a Pentaholic ever since. "Quite cute"? Kirsten is freakin' gorgeous. Her crooked smile when she sings IS quite cute, however.
One of the things I love about this video is Kevin gets to show off his cello playing. I love the original by Imagine Dragons, but I also love this version. While I am listening with headphones, that is only so I don't shake my roommate out of his bed, it being 9:28 pm right now. If this were daytime, I have an excellent pair of speakers capable of handing 170W each. My amplifier won't put out that much, but it is more than capable of making me feel like I'm in an earthquake. On the goggles, check out Steam Powered Giraffe. Rabbit wears the goggles. If you haven't watched them yet, start with "Automatonic Electronic Harmonic." Also "Honeybee" was written by Rabbit. They have a whole backstory of where their characters came from, and they are very entertaining.
Oh my gosh finally someone gives at least some recognition to the Kendrick Lamar version of that song. His part may sound a little bit hysterical but that gives a very certain mood and atmosphere which is perfect for an apocalypse song.
If you haven't listened to Dirty Loops- Hit me you are in for a crazy and amazing ride! They have the most creative music and throw in some pop jazz into the mix. And you'll never see anyone who can riff as fast as the lead singer and who has a crazy range!!
If you like this, you'd love 2CELLOS! It's two brothers from Croatia covering classic rock, movie soundtrack medleys, and other more modern songs... with just 2 cellos. Their cover of AC/DC "Thunderstruck" and Guns 'n' Roses "Welcome to the Jungle" are incredible (just like everything else they produce 😂)
I didn't hear you mention it, but Kevin in addition to doing his beat boxing was also playing the cello. Beat boxing is difficult enough, but to combine it with the cello adds a whole other layer to it. Also if you look into other videos, Kevin has a beautiful tenor voice.
Never heard Kevin called K.O. before, although, he is epic. Even though he is the beat boxer, his actual singing voice is really awesome too, it might even be my favourite.
True story: My wife had me listen to this when it came out (Knew nothing of these people, wife didn't know of them either but liked this). I was using some crap $4.99 earbuds and I wasn't impressed w/ this track. It wasn't until Evolution of Music came out and I heard that I became a huge fan and fell down the 7+ year long PTX hole now. (Improving my hearing devices shortly after that helped a ton.)
More VoicePlay please! Especially if we're at the 'playing instruments on an Imagine Dragons cover', their Warriors cover is damn good. Their beatboxer plays the violin and beatboxes!
You should react to Lindsey Stirling's: The Legend of Zelda cover/her cover with Kurt Hugo Schneider: Pokemon Theme or her cover with Megan Nicole: Starships. So wonderfull
Lindsey Sterling introduced me to pentatonix with this video. Instantly smitten. Been a fan ever since.
This collab is actually how I first found Pentatonix, so it'll always be special to me ^^
Strix Sionnach Same!
Me too!@
I'm the opposite, this is how I found out about Lindsey. She's wicked awesome! :D

🙌🙏KO🎼🎵🎶🤴🏿
My favourite is PTX's version of "Say Something". Kevin plays the cello in that too. Avi gets featured a bit more in that as well.
He can sing too. He sings in a few of their songs. He has a very smooth and warm tenor/baritone voice
EXACTLY 🙌🏻🙌🏻

One of the favorite covers they do. The post apocalyptic visuals are great and Lindsey/KO are amazing!! Great reaction! Thanks for sharing.

I was so jazzed to see this in my feeeed! Thank you! Btw...you’d love “Shatter Me” with Lindsey Stirling and Lizzy Hale from Halestorm. Epic!
Glad to see someone else recommended this because I came straight to the comments to do so before I even watched the video!
This is the cover that introduced me to both of them so many years ago... Now I have all of each of their albums on vinyl, and have seen both in concert. PTX and Lindsey are both so amazing.
Anything Pentatonix touches they absolutely blow me away! throw in Lindsey Stirling with her beautiful violin and we are watching magic
"My dream team here, KO and Lindsey." I'm right there with you my man!
I am with you...this arrangement ROCKS! Thanks for making a video about it.

If this is your dreamteam, then you should check out their cover of Papaoutai. Again KO and Lindsey both with strings, and it's in French!
don't blink. Lindsey may or may not be out first ever 3fer Tuesday.
Jase N Yo Face too late. I blinked

YES! Its my favorite collaboration of them together
This is the very first song I heard by Pentatonix - years ago. I became an instant fan.
You need to do their covers of 'imagine' , 'Can you feel the love tonight' and 'come along' !!
And Making Christmas
It's the song that made me discover Pentatonix while I was looking through Lindsey stuff. I've been a fan ever since !
Love this one!!! The entire song is so perfect and the outfits and vibe matches so well!
I listen to these songs in my car with 2 12” subs lol. It REALLY brings Avi out. Now do AHA live in Singapore!
I always wear my headphones with PTX! Haha
You know,I've heard this exact song probably 20 times and with headphones, heard more than ever before. You are 100% right. Headphones

Watching you jam out to this solidified and validated my subscription.
Lyndsy's song with Lzzy Hale of Halestorm "Shatter Me" is amazing as well
I love your reactions! They’re so fun to watch, can’t wait for more vids! :D
So happy you finally saw this one. This is the one I suggested. This is my FAV PTX song
Since I just found you, I’m watching them out of order, and I’m dying to see when you first found out Kevin plays cello! He’s sooo freakin’ talented.

"Get it Avi!"
My favorite moment in that song.

I love your enthusiasm... It makes me smile :)
K.O. and Lindsey could take the place almost any 4 musicians. I love this cover because you don't have to imagine what the words are.
