@MEDzZ3RO Killzone looks good, yeah but we're talking about the power of the engines, pre-baked is a good replacement, but there's only 1 engine with the power to put real-time illumination, Cryengine. Im sure PS3 could not run KZ3 if the game was based on Real-time lighting. But as i said, everything in Killzone is pre-baked, reflections, particles and shaders, while on Crysis everything is on real time, and it actually take more resources.
@dudman89 its syncs the frames per second to the refresh rate of your monitor, When you have a 60 heart monitor it cant show you more fps then 60, so the framerate stocks at 60, when you have a 120 heart monitor it stocks your framerate at 120 (if your gfx will reach 120 fps :D)
@Scar8632 It shows you a extention of Alcatraz's injuries later, one of them being ruptured lungs. With ruptured lungs, I don't think it's possible to talk
@OZORxORON Right, but the only way games leak is from developers. Illegal downloads may exist but getting online (especially with steam) needs a key to work (a clean key).
One of my fave FPS's and I've played many for sure. I actually prefer the first half to the second half as the Ceph aren't as fun to fight as the CELL but it was still great for the second half. Wish the A.I was better though. I also really dislike how the game is very messy looking, there's just too much going on at once but that doesn't really effect me too much. The multiplayer was absolute crap but I don't really care as I said, this is one of my fave FPS's. 9.5/10 for me.
@jubblehose123 It should handle it no problem. U didn't mention what is the screen size and resolution. If it's 1080p probably U go for the high/medium not ultra settings.
1/ why running bit faster drains energy - oh you call that seed mod ? 2/ why are aliens now red instead of blue and arent cold, energy sucking? 3/ what happend to nomad,psycho and prhophet when all returned back to island. 4/ why I cant destroy enviroment (trees?) 5/ where is interior camera position in car 6/ why when I turn lights on in car, lights are not shining but car is "glowing" 7/ why I cant have laser and scope on one gun? 8/ why suit dosent shut up? 9/ no irosight when laser sight?
@hosrom Not to the point where i significantly effects sales. Besides Microsoft and Sony ban consoles from connecting to the internet, can brick consoles if they detect alien hardware and also band accounts.
@TheSkizsus I thought that the whole "you're not Prophet" thing added a moderate amount of suspense for a while. But yeah I guess the consoles aren't really as powerful as a high-end PC. The virus thing was also kinda boring but wasn't the story linear in the first game or no? I didn't play the original Crysis. I'm about to though, as soon as I get my new PC.
@bobogej I agree it is a benchmark in graphics but that doesn't make it less of a game. The fact it still has strong gameplay even with these amazing graphics makes it even better. They could have said "well, that looks nice, let's just copy off any generic FPS and sell it" but they didn't, they made a really fun, really epic game.
Furthermore, Nanosuit 1 has 3 modes and Nanosuit 2.0 had only Armor mode(combined with Strength) + Cloak. It did not make me feel like a complete badarse rambo killer. The suit was suppose to surpass HALO spartans
@xXxDarkWolfxXxz That's just it, most multiplats are 360 ports. With optimization multi plats look better on PS3 (ref: FF XIII and Crysis 2). The 360 version has too much texture blur and on the subject of resolution the 360 upscales to 1080p, the PS3 plays compatible games without upscaling. The reason PS3 gets ports is because porting from PC/360 to one another takes days but takes months to do so on PS3. It saves money time and effort. Exclusives are representational of a systems abilities
@CJ2GAME Im playing Crysis 2 on extreme settings, with a 2 year old i7 920 that costs < €200 and a ati 6950 which cost me €220 2 weeks ago. And its running perfect, Pc gaming is actually booming at the minute btw.
@Originefx i never bashed crysis i got it and i love it,i'm bashing the genre enough fps already,how does the pc provide better experience when it has so few games?and i want u to post ur mortal kombat comment on a mortal kombat video lets see if they will let u get away with it :D
@TheTechJoint I completely agree, but I think you have to take price into account. A PC that can play this type of game at high graphics is much, much more expensive then any console. I would rather play games on a PC but rarely have the option to make it more enjoyable then a console.
@xXxDarkWolfxXxz The Killzone 3 engine is the best engine on consoles. Not enough has been seen of the Mega-Meshes engine to say otherwise. Especially seeing as a game hasn't used it yet and perhaps won't with the "Xbox 720" out 2013. We're straying off subject though. Back on subject, the Crysis 2 demo was running best on 360 but in the retail release graphics look better in the PS3 version. 360 has texture blur and graphical tearing but runs inbetween 2-4 fps more in then the PS3 version.
@xXxDarkWolfxXxz Not a chance, Killzone 3 is a hefty load for the PS3 as it is. Pre-renders were necessary. The engine itself however can do real time rendering as stated by Guerilla. I believe there was a Killzone 2 ad done in that manner. On PC Crysis 2 is very impressive and obviously more technically impressive then on consoles. On consoles however I couldn't disagree more. I like Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 but the jaggies in Crysis 2 is the decider for me were they're concerned on consoles.
@Poseidon500 Hmmm i have to agree with you,it wasn't a big improvement from the 1st. It did felt like New york was completely at the brink of a destruction. It wasn't EVEN a Huge Ceph invasion,Crytek only introduce Ceph ground forces and a Pinger!? What about the Huge War machines like the Matrix's Sentiels!? They were inspired by it,Now We play a silent protagonist in the squeal unlike the 1st. it doesn't carry any emotional weight in conversation and voice acting is a little dull
@redeemer777 Varies from TV to TV. I urge you to look at 2 articles on lensoftruth(dot)com. One's called "Crysis 2 retail screenshot comparison" and the other's called "Crysis 2 PS3 vs 360 performance analysis ". Either way both are looking good and running pretty well; they're certainly playable.
This game's campaign.... Is just INSANEE... Is mindblowing, thrilling, immersive and just epic...The plot twists are great..I just cant put it into words... Play it on PC, with head phones, alone, and in the dark and this game is just a brilliant piece of work. When the game picks up and gets going its great.. I was immersed completely... 8Hrs and 50 Mins of a pure epic movie :D
@FullM3tal7ack3t Are you saying dx9 looks better than dx10? If so I have to disagree there. And some cards run dx10 smoother than dx9, and my card_hd 4890) runs dx10 on the original Crysis quite well and looks superior to the dx9 version. Sorry to interrupt.
@FullM3tal7ack3t Much improved shadows and textures. Not a significant improvement mind you, and there seems to be a way of 'forcing' dx9 to emulate dx10 effects. In all honesty though nothing much has been done with it and hardly anyone took advantage of it(always including the dx9 as an alternative) and it never really lived up to the potential that Microsoft was pushing. But it was doing some things under the hood that was interesting and would lead to a smoother graphical experience.
Good 10 hours from the single player campaign? What were they smoking weed at the same time? I took my time and completed the entire game in 5hours, one of the shortest games ive played...
@MrSpiers Well, PCs aren't that expensive nowadays. Check out TigerDirect's videos. They've got a few nice builds for $300-$500 that can run Crysis 1 on Very High at like 60fps.
Anybody know this question on PC? My promo code won't activate the extras even though it says it does can someone pls help me. Thanks so much PS. Crysis 2 Rocks as well as PC because you need skill to play without autoaim.
@Originefx The new Mortal Kombat will definitely get a high score. It looks and controls great. The original arcade games may not have played well, but that was before control was perfected by any means. As for the gore, the game was popular BEFORE any Fatalitites were discovered, so there's no use using that was an excuse. For the storylines, I personally love games with them. But not every game needs them, especially fighters. Dissidia proved that quite nicely.
Just finished it on pc and I'd give it an 8.5/10. I don't like how they dumbed down the nanosuit. I miss having individual strength and speed modes, not just a strong jump/melee and a slightly faster sprint. It looks very very good but it's not above and beyond other top PC titles. I'm not against it being on consoles but I feel that on pc it should have graphics at least a year ahead of the competition. I don't think it's as realistic as Metro 2033. And no DX10/11 or custom graphics options!?
sigh i got slied 590's and a 990x inter 6 core =/ for this game big mistake but we will have to see how dx 11 that i will probably need these for BF3 when it comes out
@xXxDarkWolfxXxz You have wrong articles, they're not 4 pages. The graphical comparison is pretty obvious and decisive. Just look a pictures 4 and 5. I'll send you links.
2 things are silly in the campaign the guy get hit by a car,flood,skyscraperX2,falls out of a helicptor, gets spewed of the top of an alien spire and much more......one tough guy and 1 out of every 2 enemy humans have the voice of the sergeant for bad company
@SockBath idk.. i have a PC for mmos, but i really prefer consoles for all my other games. i don't mind the slightly worse graphics, because i get to sit on the couch and play in front of my 60" HDTV and i love the controller :)
I hate how people complain about "Oh, i dont like this texture here! Crysis sux!". C'moon, really? Enjoy the amazing scenes and gameplay, and REALLY awesome graphics. You cant play the first one on 360, Crytek made this one for everybody, not just PC gamers and they are completely different, and both incredible! ;D
@Originefx The world seems to be running on nostalgia lately. As much as I agree that re-hashes are beginning to get out of hand, there are quite a few exceptions. Ocarina of Time, for example, is something that everyone deserves to play at least once. If it takes a coat of shiny paint for kids today to get into it then I say more power to Nintendo. I was personally never a fan of Mortal Kombat, but the demo was enjoyable enough to make me consider a purchase. It's all a matter of opinion.
agreed the only thing is that I wish it was more open like the first a minor gripe, and the consoles versions in my two cents are more impressive due to the fact they look so damn good not pc good but close. The ps3 is a hair better kinda like BF3 so I have said enough

@b00mYou you mean the pictures? why on earth to i want to view those low resolution pictures?
@Arab092 yes you can use any controller on pc. just as long as it has a usb connector. including xbox 360 controllers
@creekrocker You can buy a wirless PC/360 controller adapter that plugs into your pc but still allows you to use wireless xbox controllers
DAM!! That reviewer lost a lot of weight. Good on him.
@SockBath it doesn't matter. people have options and can choose the way they want to play.
yes they do, but it ain't extremely populated, but you can find somewhere to play at all times.
@dudman89 its syncs the frames per second to the refresh rate of your monitor,
When you have a 60 heart monitor it cant show you more fps then 60, so the framerate stocks at 60, when you have a 120 heart monitor it stocks your framerate at 120 (if your gfx will reach 120 fps :D)
Don't tell me they kept the new suit mode thing they introduced in the multiplayer demo? Please?
@plbelanger Wow, What laptop do you have? I was thinking about getting a hp envy 17, I wonder would it run it.
@manhunt48
or just have everything on highand shadows on extreeme trough the console or on the new setting menu.
Are there any custom configs out for crysis 2?
@TheTechJoint I thought they didn't have DX11? Although I hear it's going to get patched in. Agree with you otherwise.
@SockBath if its meant to be played on pc then why is it out on other plats?
I have a question when is it coming out for wii?
I like that fast paced orchestra music
@manhunt48 what laptop u have and what pc....just curios...O.o?
what happens to prophet?
@Scar8632
It shows you a extention of Alcatraz's injuries later, one of them being ruptured lungs. With ruptured lungs, I don't think it's possible to talk
@LeeroyDT just asking a legitimate question here. how exactly does the consol verion suck?
what does v sync do?
should i get it for xbox or pc?
@OZORxORON Right, but the only way games leak is from developers. Illegal downloads may exist but getting online (especially with steam) needs a key to work (a clean key).
@psyckojoe The reason you get the suit is a spoiler about one of the characters, so they couldn't really say it.
@UndercoverCracker the only issue i have is the consoleitis that it picked up and the fact the origanil character dosent get metioned once
One of my fave FPS's and I've played many for sure. I actually prefer the first half to the second half as the Ceph aren't as fun to fight as the CELL but it was still great for the second half. I'm thinking of renting this game, but for me to understand the story of crysis two, will i need to play the first one?
@manhunt48 yeah right... what £500 laptop can run this at max
@jubblehose123 It should handle it no problem. U didn't mention what is the screen size and resolution. If it's 1080p probably U go for the high/medium not ultra settings.

9/ no irosight when laser sight?
i would buy this but does the ps3 online work unlike the one on the demo
@MEDzZ3RO The review said Crysis 2 on 360 was the only version to support Bloom sooooo
What happened to the intro? O_O
Are there still players who play multiplayer?
Alot or few?
ps were is the consol cammands
Update: Supports full DX11 on PC with high res textures
@JJchoy1593 you dont play prophet and i don't know if the main character is black
@xXxDarkWolfxXxz
That's just it, most multiplats are 360 ports. With optimization multi plats look better on PS3 (ref: FF XIII and Crysis 2). The 360 version has too much texture blur and on the subject of resolution the 360 upscales to 1080p, the PS3 plays compatible games without upscaling.

@ThebombsquadDoc it isn't constant like in house of the dead and Maffia but in some parts it gets quite bad
@SockBath But still......I was hoping for it to utilize DX11...
@manhunt48 what?
so whoes the one that got payed to give a good reveiw gamespot or ign?
Thats with a patch, the game came out without DX11 support at first
@ruekurei88 dx10 just improves some effects, yes it on some video cards in runs better than dx9, but really i dont see that much of a change ..
hey guys what can be good settings for Crysis 2 on
Processor : AMD Athlon x2 Dual Core 5000+
GFX : Nvidia 9600GT 1024MB
Resolution : 1440x900

what difficulty was he playing this on (6:57) they died too easily!
@daritachan They have their hands full, they need to give us the basic graphic options like any game for starters.
no dx 11? hmmmm
hell yes, crysis 2 all day..
I've beaten it 6 times already and still like to play through it again
Do u still play it
@@supinthiam5741 no. I may play again, though
@Originefx i never bashed crysis i got it and i love it,i'm bashing the genre enough fps already,how does the pc provide better experience when it has so few games?and i want u to post ur mortal kombat comment on a mortal kombat video lets see if they will let u get away with it :D
@Gatehammer cool, that makes sense. Thanks for the info man!
imo this is still the best game, if you have dx11 and high texture patch installed
@Blackthorne2010 He's worked for IGN for like 3 years now.
@TheTechJoint I completely agree, but I think you have to take price into account. A PC that can play this type of game at high graphics is much, much more expensive then any console. I would rather play games on a PC but rarely have the option to make it more enjoyable then a console.

@TheSorrow1O1 Call of Duty, battlefield, Crysis. Big names all created on PC
My internet isn't good enough to support multiplayer so could anyone give me a quick review of single player?
@xXxDarkWolfxXxz
Not a chance, Killzone 3 is a hefty load for the PS3 as it is. Pre-renders were necessary. The engine itself however can do real time rendering as stated by Guerilla. I believe there was a Killzone 2 ad done in that manner.

I just got a 6 core processor and a GTX 560 video card but what I lack is the time to play this :( stupid work lol
yeah people can be kinda annoying but i dont use the street so much cuz im a free runner i find my own ways of going somewhere
@Poseidon500 Hmmm i have to agree with you,it wasn't a big improvement from the 1st. It did felt like New york was completely at the brink of a destruction. You have wrong articles, they're not 4 pages.
The graphical comparison is pretty obvious and decisive. Just look a pictures 4 and 5. I'll send you links.
@gianfook Well at least they don't talk about CoD like IGN
2 things are silly in the campaign
the guy get hit by a car,flood,skyscraperX2,falls out of a helicptor, gets spewed of the top of an alien spire and much more......one tough guy
and 1 out of every 2 enemy humans have the voice of the sergeant for bad company
@AsneakyFatcat I concur.
@SockBath idk.. i have a PC for mmos, but i really prefer consoles for all my other games. i don't mind the slightly worse graphics, because i get to sit on the couch and play in front of my 60" HDTV and i love the controller :)
IMHO you're the best reviewer out there Kevin.
wow a special review just for the PC!
@macosftw Dude I have A GTX 460 Running 3GB RAM CORE 2 DUO, Hardcore settings no problems what so ever.
All the battlefield 3 gameplay reveal used a gtx 580...
I hate how people complain about "Oh, i dont like this texture here! Crysis sux!". C'moon, really? Enjoy the amazing scenes and gameplay, and REALLY awesome graphics. I was personally never a fan of Mortal Kombat, but the demo was enjoyable enough to make me consider a purchase. It's all a matter of opinion.
@outlawstar00000 its not
Damn Kevin lost some good weight :D
@jubblehose123 I have a similar rig and i play at 1680x1050, medium settings in directx 11. No high res textures getting 50-60 fps
@MmhGanja Crysis wasnt open world,just huge levels.Only open World games are MMO ;)
I just wish there were major boss battles in this game.
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO DOWNLOAD "CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS" AND "CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE 2" FOR PS3.......?PLZ SOMEONE SEND ME!
agreed the only thing is that I wish it was more open like the first a minor gripe, and the consoles versions in my two cents are more impressive due to the fact they look so damn good not pc good but close. The ps3 is a hair better kinda like BF3 so I have said enough
