@37Kilroy I tried to think of an analogy to help their point make sense, but it is a unique thing. Closest I could come up with is a bank. You can put your money in it and get an interest rate on it back. If you take that money out and give it to someone else, they don't get that interest rate you were getting. As it is, the code that comes free with a new copy is like it's own separate product. Any ways, if this practice bothers you, refuse to buy games that do it. Money talks.
Like previous Red Faction games, I plowed through this game using mostly just my hammer :) Though I felt this game was more akin to Dead Space than previous Red Faction games
Magnet gun becomes useless immediately after it is introduced. The horde encounters with bigger enemies makes the magnet gun useless. Thankfully, the rest of your arsenal is OP as fuck and that's what I like about this game.
Just got this on the PlayStation Store for £4.99 because of this review. Have wanted it since before it came out, excited that it's downloading now :D Thanks for the good review!
@ThePirateNinjaMaster I personally can't wait. The only reason I progressed in RF:G was to unlock more weapons, and then I finished so the EDF assholes would be in every area again. Destroying stuff was the main selling point of all of them, and the magnet gun will be totally worth the linearity.
@Mik3469 I think most people just like the tv screen/dual shock concept. If u like pcs, more power to you. but i like sitting on a couch in front of my tv and just using a controller.
@BigLebowski2000 what good ole days are you talking about? in my good ole days, the campaigns were 5 days long. however, most of this time was spent dying and memorizing enemy movements, and then it took about 45 minutes.
you mean like THE previous Red Faction GAME, because in the first and second (which are the best) you do not have any hammer, so i don't know if you've ever played the original, but if you haven't it's a must buy! ;)
@Mik3469 crysis 2?! i know that game.... its the one that only uses gray and yellow collours, and the main objective is to kill the same enemy 329849 times, right??!
its a great game just because its not free roam dosent mean it sucks. I like that they tried something new unlike cod makes all there games the exact same.
@stbays its true it is a very uniques situation bc manufactuers, besides game companies, do have control over their protect once it is sold, and rightly so. Once i buy a game i should have 100% ownership of it. however bc i use a code it automatically decreases the value if i were to resell. I personally do not beleive that the producer, developer, ect, has any right, bc they have no ownership, to decrease the value of the game after they have sold it. However, i respect the business of it
@37Kilroy Well said. DLC, online passes. They try to do anything to rob your pockets. And campaigns nowadays are 8 hours "long"? In the good old days campaigns were at least 16 hours. It's all about money ;-)
@stbays i realize why they do it but they dont own the game any more, they shouldnt be able to alter it. When i buy a chair the person who originally crafted it cant come to my house and change it without my permission
@Zimba9810 i still play guerilla it is most fun smashing cars . And the best thing is smash a bridge then a car will go over it and it will collapse 'classic'.
@kylelembke How? Xbox is out dated. The architecture is way different also, but in term of power a PC is always way more powerful than console. And a lot of games where limited in graphics due to consoles. Look at Crysis 2. Even Crytek's boss (Crytek is the company that made Crysis 1 and 2) said that graphics and visual would be way better whitout the console limiting it. In games like L4D2 they had to do some tricks due to low VRAM on consoles. And there is way more exemple like these ones.
So explain to me what the FUCK this has to do with the Political instability and backstory that coated the first two and actually made a great atmosphere?
@Braden747 the first one? do you mean guerilla, cos that was the third!
This game is 50 cents on Amazon UK! I am definitely getting it, especially when I saw the unicorn fart gun
Just got this for free with xbox's games with gold. I'm really enjoying this game.
@37Kilroy

@37Kilroy
Used game sales don't count towards the companies profit margin, so they're trying to find ways to encourage new game purchases.
no, Freddiew borrowed the model from volition inc. , It says at the end of the vid of Freddiew's Mr.Toot
it'd be pretty cool if the next red faction goes back to the FPS like the first two... but with these graphics and gameplay
Like previous Red Faction games, I plowed through this game using mostly just my hammer :)
Though I felt this game was more akin to Dead Space than previous Red Faction games
wtf how does one get that "weapon" 3:56?
Magnet gun becomes useless immediately after it is introduced. The horde encounters with bigger enemies makes the magnet gun useless. Thankfully, the rest of your arsenal is OP as fuck and that's what I like about this game.
What's the scale ?
Just got this on the PlayStation Store for £4.99 because of this review. Have wanted it since before it came out, excited that it's downloading now :D
Thanks for the good review!
This looks great. Ordering it now on Amazon. Somehow missed this one.
The only reason I bought this game in the first place was because the magnet gun has unlimited ammo ;)
Great game, btw.
there won't be any more red faction games. THQ announced it quite a while ago.
@Conner20D It's called "Mr. Toots" - it's a strong weapon you get for beating the game.
$4 right now on 360. Hard to pass that up.
@JustTP94
That sucks. Well, personally I plan on waiting for this to go on sale on Steam. Looks good, but not good enough to buy at full price.
99p or 74p @ the game collection if you sign up to a new account and spend the free 100 points.
anyone still play RF gureilla??? i waited 20min still cant find a game
When a new gun is credited as a new mechanic you know somethings wrong with the current state of gaming
@eimantas342
Mars does have clouds, just do a search for Mars pathfinder cloud images.
I'm replaying this game yet again.
@dtanobo yh they let freddie use the mr toots character model for his video look on his second channel.
just $1.99 right now on steam
Is this Red Faction or Mass Effect
Can i repair in guerilla
is this open world or not???
i can't believe they will not implement this revolutionary tech again
are those the ponies from.... the freddiew video?
This wouldn't be so bad if only it had open world.
@Mik3469 I think most people just like the tv screen/dual shock concept. If u like pcs, more power to you. but i like sitting on a couch in front of my tv and just using a controller.
Lets hope Nordic games can release something good with this licence.
@JustTP94
Not even after all the praise he gave the game?
THis game is fun
its a shame it didn't get the attention and sales for a sequel (though there is one being made, its not being made by volition.inc)
Is this game really for PC ?
@BigLebowski2000 what good ole days are you talking about? in my good ole days, the campaigns were 5 days long. however, most of this time was spent dying and memorizing enemy movements, and then it took about 45 minutes.
Enjoying this game in 2021
you mean like THE previous Red Faction GAME, because in the first and second (which are the best) you do not have any hammer, so i don't know if you've ever played the original, but if you haven't it's a must buy! ;)
alienware + razer tournament edition = awesomeness
@TheShovelfighter Don't worry. The sledgehammer is in this game.
@Mik3469 crysis 2?! i know that game.... its the one that only uses gray and yellow collours, and the main objective is to kill the same enemy 329849 times, right??!
@Vayshen Farting magic ponies to be precise lol
@kevthekid41 no, they used the model from THQ. they got invited over to their place :)
its a great game just because its not free roam dosent mean it sucks. I like that they tried something new unlike cod makes all there games the exact same.
@MrLaimis911 Agreed. Nice game to rent or buy when price drops (I think in a couple of months you can get it for half price.) ;-)
What the hell is a humble bundle?
The game doesn't appear amazing, however i thoroughly enjoyed the demo and will definately be getting this game... when it goes on sale.
Step 1: Take the cool weapons from Red Faction Armageddon
Step 2: Put them in Red Faction Guerrilla
Step 3: Profit
it's 4.99 on steam in Canada and the US
get it now!!

not really, but something like destruction and collect points make this game open
You mean Deadpool feels like this gun play wise.
what the fuck is that internal dogfood license under the search words in the video description??
1:46 that created a bit of an awkward moment!
@37Kilroy Well said. DLC, online passes. They try to do anything to rob your pockets. And campaigns nowadays are 8 hours "long"? In the good old days campaigns were at least 16 hours. It's all about money ;-)

@MrLaimis911 has co op survival mode
My little pony? The editor was having fun editing that. Lol.
@Zimba9810 i still play guerilla it is most fun smashing cars . And the best thing is smash a bridge then a car will go over it and it will collapse 'classic'.
If this game was open world i woruld have bought it or should i still
this is so much better than ign review
@kylelembke
How?

Oh my...this game has magic ponies...
This game is baby's first Dead Space if you play on the easier levels. Great joint!!
Is he oblivious to the unicorn shitting out rainbows? lol
ok as soon as i see the unicorn gun it's a must have XD
The game is 5$ on amazon as D2D.
this game doesn't look at good as RF: Guerrilla
I think he likes the magnet gun... Guerilla was way better. PS didn't freddiew make up mr toots? The unicorn?
I thought you were supposed to repair that bridge?!?!?!1
@SocialDestroyer55 I, for one..enyojed a bit of difference. and actually, i like some things in this game better than guerilla.
Collide in very satisfying ways :D
its too dark and the repatative destroy and rebuild is annoying
hopefully the next game is open world, this one killed it for me just destruction underground just dosent work gets old fast
@ThePirateNinjaMaster well guerilla was fun so i guess they just tried to keep the same fun
@Ikarimalice obviously mass effect
the magnet gun is like the gravity gun was back in the day
thumbs up for humble bundle!
I'm here for humble bundle!
So explain to me what the FUCK this has to do with the Political instability and backstory that coated the first two and actually made a great atmosphere?
@xtib666 480p here
looks very similar to ME2 and a little bit of DS2
Underrated game
@dtanobo I'm thinking the exact same thing.
...did...did that pony just kill with his farts?!
Getting it! Only $6 in denmark! :D
@stbays
Yeah, I'll probably end up buying this game in a year when it's Half-price.
god if i buy a game used i should still get full content
I want this game
@stbays No, because inFAMOUS 2 comes out on June 7th... and right now I'm having money troubles like the rest of America...
Is it just me or does this feel alot like Deadpool gunplay wise
