Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This UA-cam channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

I used to play golf over 10 years ago but stopped through college and my early work career. I picked it back up a month ago and have been watching so many of your videos ever since. You’ve really taught me a lot and have helped me get back into golf. A week ago i had my first ever “rare” shot. I shot it out of the sand trap and slam-dunked it into the hole. Was beautiful. I am usually double bogey golfer so I never thought I’d hit a shot like that. I dedicate it to you, Rick. Haha love the videos. *Side note* would you ever consider doing a VICE golf ball review? Thank you for these videos! I haven't been out to the golf course in probably five or six years, this week I went out and hit some balls at the driving range using some of your tips and really enjoyed myself. This morning I went out and walk 9 holes and had one of the most enjoyable days of golf ever! I I tried to apply many of the tips I've been watching in your videos and while my score wasn't particularly great, I played one ball the whole way through, which I don't remember ever happening before. I was able to really relax and enjoy myself in the golf course! Thank you, thank you!

This and your driving video have helped me so much. I’ve always been really good with different shots around the green but wild off the tee. Not only did I just break 80 I shot a 76 +4 and was dead even par after 9. I can’t thank you enough for putting videos online.

If there was ever a rule that needed changing, it's this one. You should be rewarded for splitting a fairway, not punished because some goofball didn't take care of his gouge lol - I think if your "bad break" is the result of someone else's incompetence you should get relief
Wouldn’t that technically be a man made obstruction?
Using more of the toe to get the ball out of that grass that can stop your club head dead in its tracks makes a lot of sense. I'm gonna give it a wack!
Some courses around me have preferred lies anyway.

Had two rounds with it now and really helped with positive yardage etc.
So easy to use and the nerd data at the end of the round is great.
I tried the bunker tip today on the course and it works so well ! Thank you so much, you save me 2-3 shots to get off those bunkers.

Hit in to a bunker a few weeks ago for the first time in 3 years. Never been good at getting out of them. Remembered your tip of hitting behind the ball and following through from a video I had seen and landed it on the green no problem. I now go to bunker shots with confidence. Thank Rick!!!

Situation #2 is HARDLY a horrible situation compared to the spots I end up in! LOL! I do have to tell you that after watching many of your numerous videos for tips etc, what I have learned the most from you and has become my best shots, is your technique to get out of high rough or dirt. I just wish I was that good on the fairway etc! LOL!

How I deal with my shot landing in a divot -> Kick it 2 feet left in the fairway.
Both work great!
But only one is a two shot penalty.
