One of the best tips is prepping your veggies when you get them like you're saying and having them available for snacking! Mason jars work great for storage and they're clear, so you can see exactly what's in your fridge without stuff getting pushed towards the back.

Great video! - thanks for sharing your journey and your "Why". I have been on an almost clean eating diet for 6 months and have dropped a good amount of weight - 50 lbs. My "Why" was becoming too sedentary during the pandemic and finding that I got winded after only 10 minutes of walking. I was worried that I would get to retirement (this year!) and not be able to do things I was waiting to do. I have balanced my cutting back of processed foods with daily walking. I still allow myself limited chips as a treat, but found that there are more filling and healthier options.

Wow! This is a great story! Good for you. And 50 pounds!! Amazing! I admire you for recognizing you needed to make a change and ACTUALLY doing something about it. Kudos to you!

Thanks for sharing your story and i Love your motivation. 💖
    Been diagnosed as prediabetic.
Then i went on chemo 3 years ago. The chemo and the follow up medication has pretty hectic side effects.
Been to a dietician and i am following the "eating plan" again (have fallen off the bandwagon a few times). I generally do quite well once I am mindful of what I am eating.
So that's my story. Now I am trying to use the airfryer for healthy meals hence my watching your video.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! You've got this! There's no question there can be some ups and downs and fits and starts, but once the healthy way of eating is part of your everyday life, it gets a lot easier. And your air fryer will help a lot!! Thanks for watching and for your comment. Keep it up!!

Now that I know you're a Lawyer (and a Taco Bell addict) I feel more confident in telling you this. 🤔 If I were to stop getting my meals from Burger King the entire chain would go broke in a month. Am I proud of that? Not at all. I eat once a day. I'm 70 and have not once actually "Cooked a Meal". I finally gave up Coke after a Verbal Beating by my Doc because of being addicted to it and drinking a 2 liter bottle every day. I gained 100 pounds in 2 years of living alone. Is there anything which comes in a box that I can simply heat up and stop my Slow Death? PS: Thanks for what you do. 💐

OMG RIch! That's quite a story! Since you shared your Burger King story, I'll share mine... In addition to the whole Taco Bell "problem," I LOVE BK! When I was in the middle of all my surgeries, my face was a total train wreck! You can't even imagine what it looked like! I looked like a freak show for a long time! But I went to BK almost every day! lol! (That's what is closest to my house). It was always the same guy at the drive through. Finally, after my 4th or 5th surgery, he finally asked me "what the heck is going on with your face?" So I told him. He was amazed and followed all of my progress. Nicest guy! I should probably drive by to tell him why I quit going!! I'm sure he misses my daily "medical" chats! ha! As for your story... you really should read that book I mentioned. You'll be amazed (and also motivated!) Like I said... never too old. And I hate to say it, but there's not much that just "comes in a box" that's really all that healthy. But many of the clean eating recipes I'm coming out with here will be VERY easy! So be sure to stay tuned. Maybe just try one or two?? Thank you so much for sharing your story. ❤️

@@Thespicyapron Taco Bell AND Burger King!!! Oh my!!! 😳 😂 To the best of my knowledge and sagging memory, I don't think I've ever had a Taco.....but I DO inhale Pizza like a Champion...3 times a week....usually around 10 pm...my dinner time. I don't eat breakfast or lunch. With all due respect, it's hard to believe that one of the Planet's most beautiful Women (You) could ever take on the "Train Wreck" appearance you mentioned. 🚂. My one successful Conquest is that I have stopped drinking Coke (3 months clean) and now drink only Britta-fied (filtered) water with a shot of Cranberry Juice added in so that my mind is Tricked into thinking I'm not actually drinking water. #boring ........ My latest shot at semi-health is eating Chinese twice a week. In closing....once your Boat is Seaworthy I'd like to apply for a gig as a Cabin boy. 🛥 Terms of said gig? I can't/won't wear a Captain's Hat or those Goofy Shorts, white knee socks and white plastic belt and white shoes like the Dude on the Love Boat although I will wear a Whistle if that works for you.......Denim clothing and Western Boots will, hopefully, be OK with your Crew. 🛳

Congrats on the Coke-Britta switcheroo! I'm sure that's tough! And thank you for your kind words. (I live in the wild west, so denim and boots are always good!)

Good afternoon Heather very good video but I was hungry for Taco Bell at the end .Taco Bell can't be too bad for our bodies tho because it's not in us for very long 😀. You did not mention about trying to get organic fruits and veggies and if a person cannot afford them get the regular but soak them in a sink full of water and 1/2 cup of white vinegar then rinse. I saw you were not wearing your wedding ring and we know you only take it off for sailing and mixing meatloaf so did you finally give your husband the boot 😁

Very good tip about soaking the fruits and veggies! And do you always pay such close attention to detail?? My ring is at the jeweler's getting the prongs touched up! lol! You are correct... those are the only 2 times I take it off!
