How to set Google Voice Keyboard in Samsung

- Does your Samsung voice to text not work like it used to? We found that recent updates to our Samsung Galaxy S9 S10 S20 and S20FE's are switched to the Samsung voice keyboard. That is the default voice keyboard on most Samsung android cells and tablets which does work, is not near as good as the Google voice typing keyboard.
The Samsung voice to text makes mistakes in grammar, misses context and most annoyingly does not learn from previous corrections.
The Google voice to text keyboard is far superior and we show you how to switch to the Google voice keyboard to fix those annoyances. - Наука та технологія
FINALLY! I've been trying to figure this out for years on my S9. Now I have an S23FE and even though your instructions aren't exact I was able to find the Google voice typing and enable it vs Samsung voice input. Thank you so very much!
This was so helpful! I couldn't figure out why my microphone would only work if the wifi was on. It was the stupid Samsung keyboard. The second I switched to google everything went back to normal! Also, it's like you said; huge difference in quality! Thank you!

Thank you for this video. I am going to try this on my new Samsung a52. The speech to text has never worked right from the beginning. And the microphone frequently shuts down on me when I'm speaking to create text and gives me an error mssg saying that "an error has occurred" and to "try again later." Seriously? That's absolutely unacceptable. It should work correctly every single time. Hopefully your fix will resolve that as well. BTW, you misspelled grammar in your vid. It's grammar, not grammer, lol. Thought you would want to know. 😁
For my S21 it's General Management, then "Keyboard list and default." That's where the Google Voice was hidden. Thank you! Samsung voice is the worst. It keeps cutting off when I'm speaking, now Google is working much better.

The last update for Samsung completely changed these menu options, so it took some searching but finally fixed the issue! This works as long as you keep the Samsung board but still can't find the button on the Gboard (and only since the update has it gone *poof*). Which is a small bummer because I prefer to use the Gboard. But still...problem solved!!

Thank you so much. I have CP so voice to text is sometimes easier for me. I have been fighting with this problem since I got my most recent phone months ago. This instantly fixed it and now I don't have to go through every text with a fine tooth comb to make sure it's intelligible.

I build computers as a hobby. I am a tinkerer at heart but I couldn't find this. After hitting microphone button and getting the big button to toggle voice to text I would click on the little keyboard on the bottom right and select google for v2t. But had to do this every time. Then much to my surprise- one morning, it was gone! Replaced with a little guy! Idk what he did I pushed on him... nothing. The self cleaning on my oven stopped working, maybe that was him hiding 🤔

I am having the same exact problem it will not let me say more than two words before it shuts off. Spell nothing right and won't let me correct it unless I hand type. Could you please give a description of how to do it for a Samsung Galaxy A7 tablet I was on with the experts for hours and they couldn't figure anything out. I tried to do it in my microphone disappeared! If you can help it would be greatly appreciated because I have eye problems right now and it hurts to try to type by hand. That's why I use the microphone in the first place.
I have a Galaxy S21 and I can't roll back that Google Voice typing to that version that you have I am completely frustrated
I don't have that option :( I have the Samsung Keyboard at the top (as you do) and the Google keyboard. The Samsung option is greyed out (like it looks in your image) so I can't do anything with that one :( Any thoughts on how to get around that?
Your information is correct but if someone has a phone that doesn't match your phone what do they do because my phone is Samsung Galaxy a.50 and what you show on your screen more that's what your phone that you using shows the right information but for my phone it doesn't show me that information it shows me a lot different information on a side note could you possibly help me with Samsung accessibility program I found it once but now I can't find it at all

I have a Galaxy s10e and the only option for default voice typing is Samsung. I can set it to Google once but it always defaults to Samsung
I know this isn't what the video is over but my Google Voice keyboard automatically updates randomly even with disable updates. I know this because it changes from the teal microphone icon to the blue microphone icon. When it does this you are no longer able to make corrections to your voice dictation and it feels like it takes much more time to learn your voice.......................how can I fix this issue

I send voice messages in text messages all the time but I have to hold the mic down the whole time I'm talking ... is there a way to make it so I just tap the mic and talk without having to hold the mic down the whole time?

You are a miracle worker. I remember I had to do this on my last Samsung and unfortunately two nights ago my only two-and-a-half-year-old phone decided to stop charging so I had to buy the new Samsung Ultra 21. Nevertheless, I completely forgot how to disable the Samsung voice text because I did not want to have the Google gboard only, but I wanted the convenience of Simply Having the gboard voice to text. I'm astounded that this many years into the Samsung phone series that they still have not improved their text-to-speech options. Their keyboard is much better than the Google keyboard or gboard. However, the text-to-speech on Google or gboard is much Superior to Samsung. The funniest thing is just as I opened this video I actually figured out how to do it on my own after two days of trying. But I'm so grateful for this video nevertheless so others can learn. Thank you for taking the time! One thing to know, I also found the Samsung voice not only slow, but frequently crashed and would not even work.
Could you update your video please for the Samsung s20? Samsung in their infinite wisdom has rearranged all of the language keyboard and input settings making it more and more difficult to get rid of the Samsung keyboard
try looking in settings: general management > keyboard list and default

My first issue is that I don't have a 'Language and Input' section under General Management...I only have 'Language.' Even under 'Samsung Keyboard' there's not even the option for 'manage keyboards'. What do I do??
What about the new update it is horrible I can't get word suggestions and when I uninstall the update it's still automatically updated even when I turned it off
Damn, as of today, at least, the settings names and parameters are different and this no longer works as described here, on an S22+. Got to keep looking.
My microphone came back but it came all the way down on my left hand side corner it's not in the bar

I just switched over to the S21 Ultra and I was having a hard time using the phone the way I used to use all of my old phones the voice recognition that comes out of the box is complete trash
On my S22, my google voice typing only types one word and stops. What is the fix?
I have the same problem on my S22 and my research found it was a known problem with much more than just the S22. I am still frustrated with it and working on a fix and I am going to take a 22 shotgun to it if it continues (yes... joking... but I am EXCEPTIONALLY annoyed by it).

Omg thank you because I had to factory reset my tablet (it wasn't turning on properly) and for some reason it was on the Samsung Text-to-Speech one even though when i got the tablet it was on the Google Text-to-Speech one

I bought a Samsung a42 and was so frustrated the first week with Samsung voice input. You know how many times I have asked my husband to ridiculous food such as a rubber sandwich when I clearly said Reuben sandwich. For some reason it likes to put the word is an IT and isn't in front of words or in the middle of a sentence where it doesn't make any sense
