I followed all your instructions because my mic disappeared after an update. At first, I couldn't see it, but now I have found it on the bottom left of the screen under the keyboard, instead of on the panel it used to be on. Thanks ! 😊

Thank you! It works!!! Since the last update, the microphone has been missing. It is surprising how difficult composing a message is without the microphone. After hours trying to find the microphone, there it is on the lower left corner of the screen. If you don't see it, look carefully to the left of the navigation buttons under the keyboard.

It seems like Samsung is trying to separate the microphone from the standard keyboard since may 2022 and are trying hard to get rid of it. now it sounds like in April May 2024 even the keyboard reset option isn't working reliably to get the keyboard with embedded mic. Users are looking for the mic back on the basic keyboard so that it's always visible/accessible able to type and switch between the keyboard and mic input modes without popping a second screen over top of the keyboard killing all speedy hybrid editing.

I see none of these option on my updated galaxy note 9 when I pull up the Samsung KB as you did. My cell is current on updates but all my vtt features, on text, other texting apps and even yt app which presumably does not use the native kb app do not work. I installed gboard, reinstalled the Samsung kb, nothing will fix this. The guy at us cellular store, my provider told me it was just the kb app, but nothing I can do fixes this. Broken tech ftw.

The microphone is rigged and adds words that she never said. Like shut up and other like provocative. Things antagonistic things To try and get you fired from your job. Let's say you use the microphone like I'm using it right now to say all this. It'll add things that are mistakes on purpose. It's got a hidden software in it. Design to attack you at your job or somebody having fun with it. And ruin your career

did not work, when I reset to default settings it did not go back to what it originally was - instead it included some new AI feature, and mic to talk:text is still missing
I tried that and it didn't work in my galaxy a35. This phone better have that feature since my old lg stylo had it. Also I hate that it doesn't have a red blinking led when a message comes in that will blink till the message is red like my LG stylo had
