- Never having shot pinhole photography before, this was a lot of fun! I can't wait to keep exploring and learning more about this style of photography! I hope you enjoyed the video and, as always, you can visit my Instagram page @jesshobbsphoto for a closer look at today's images!

Ahaha !! Very nice 👍 How creative. Nice pics. Keep up the good mood too :)
I am quite impressed with some of the photos you made. Many photographers who have used pinhole cameras for years would be proud of those results. My favorites are of the tools. Very cool images and creative ideas.
I've done quite a few digital pinhole photos and I'm hoping to get a film pinhole camera for Christmas.
Kicking up the dirt was a brilliant idea! The last time I tried pinhole, I was using a camera made out of chocolate. Haha. But it's time I revisit this, even though I'm too late for the big event. Thank you for the inspiration!
Hello Jess, outstanding art photography. I truly love the photograph at 9:59. Peace always from New York City.
You are my hero.... I applaud you for being so real you can tell by watching your videos... you are you. And the fact that there is no crazy video editing just pure straight video and photography amazing. Keep it up, I enjoy watching these a lot.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! I'm happy to hear you are enjoying my videos, a lot of love and hard work goes behind each one. Thanks for watching!
Great video. I used to have a 4x5 large format pinhole. Sold it years ago because it got too expensive to shoot sheet film. After watching your video the first time I looked into getting a medium format pinhole. And being a fellow Canadian it turns out the same company you got yours from was the best deal in town. Just got it in the mail today and it came with a 35mm adapter too so it is very versatile. It looks and feels so nice. Very premium feel to it. I will probably buy a second one in a different colour wood. They are beautiful to look at as well as shoot with. I will probably start my first roll this weekend.
This was as always a great video. I love the 🚜 jess....
Some great images there Jess Hobbs, and images of Jody Farms, farm :)
Really nice photos !
I have the same model of camera; good choice!
Круто, отличные кадры!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR LAST IMAGE! Well done, love the video.
I love pinhole photography. You did a great job being your first time. Remember that pinhole cameras have a great depth of field, so having something in the near foreground makes for an interesting photo. I’d love to see more of your pinhole photography.
I love the shots. Great content as usual. I never took pinhole seriously and you just changed my mind. Thank you Jess!
Fantastic results! Welcome to the world of Pinhole Photography! 🙂
As you get more used to previsualizing what the camera is going to see you'll begin to love it more and more. It really helps I think with normal viewed compositions with standard cameras. I enjoy the zen aspect of using it. The silence in nature especially.
Great pictures. I love the dusty one and the one where you were on the tractor.
Welcome to the wonderful world of pinhole photography Jess! Cool video! Always fun to watch! Stay safe!
Great shots Jess and it looks like you had a lot of fun :-) Love the last shot and the one of you on the tractor!
Looks like you had fun and that's one of the things I really enjoy about pinhole photography :)
Enjoyed that although I don't have much interest in pinhole. It was fun to see you using it. Nice job with the photo selections. What possessed you to get a farm given that your university training didn't seem to be in agriculture or agricultural engineering? Seems an unusual move?
I have zero interest in pinhole photography .. at least I did until seeing this. Now I want a pinhole camera! Thanks Jess!! Jim in Vancouver 👍
Oops. Forgot about pinhole day two years in a row. Oh well. Loved your photos, especially the last one in the entryway.
Ahhh these turned out so well!!! Truly loved this video! Great job!
Love your enthusiasm..... keep em coming. Wishing you and yours well from the island of Newfoundland.
looks like a lot of fun Jess. I haven't done pinhole photography sense way back in school. my photography teacher had us make a pinhole camera out of a milk carton and we used Polaroid film. we all did self-portraits.
Some very good images, I particularly liked the one of you in the doorway. The kicking up the dust in theory was a good idea, unfortunately it softens details that are already inherently soft in pinhole photography. Keep up the good work.
Those taken very close to the foreground subject were quite powerful. A DIY composition card or a director viewfinder app could help a lot I think. You should check out curved plane pinhole two with panoramic formats.
Amazing shots, I really love pinhole photography but unfortunately I haven't done one yet but hopefully soon I will.
Was eyeing the same camera for the longest time 🤣 -Angela
I purchased a Pinhole camera from the gentleman in your post, where did you get the android app for calculating the exposure?
Wonderful video. Subscribed.
Howdy. Which pinhole calculator are you using? Is it for iphone or android? I'm not seeing a similar one in the android app store. Thank you for your time!
I'm on Android as well, what apps did you use with Pinhole as I just got a pinhole camera and would love the help of an app(s) on my phone. Thank you
How about pinhole ektachrome i did e6 at home years ago.
You should try using a 4x5 pinhole camera. BIG negatives but what negatives!!! Ilford make a pinhole 4x5 camera that's easy to use. Though, you do need a dark bag to change the film over as you use it. You should be able to get one of the Ilford cameras on ebay or at another online photo store. Nice pics, BTW :D Liked all of them, but the one of you in the doorway was close to being the best of the bunch.
If you really get into pinhole pics and the like, you want to have a go at entering the Krappy Kamera Competition. It's for all types of "alternative" cameras like Holgas, pinholes, Diana's, etc. It's run by the Soho Gallery in NY. Here's the website... www.sohophoto.com/krappy-kamera/
love the video, can u plz share the name of the pinhole app or maybe a link, I am searching for a good one
It's called PinHole Calculator, and it's made for Android. It doesn't have all of the films, but it is a really good starting point! Thanks for watching!
This comment is not about this particular video. WHERE ARE YOU?????. We miss you
Nice video, as always.
Just, I put an hand or the cap in front of the lens, then open , and then let the shot be, and the reverse at the end, if you know what I mean.
Maybe is not necessary, but is like I do when shoting with a pin hole.
Ciao!
You should check out my teacher Daniel Mendoza, he´s a mexican pin hole photografy master!
Are you familiar Tom Baril’s work?
No, I'm not, but I'll check him out!
You are very cute! Keep going !
The closest I have to a pinhole camera is the pinhole setting on the Diana F+. Wanna try a proper one now, great video :)
Nice work. This year Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day is April 24, 2022. Make sure to submit your picture to the gallery at pinholeday.org.
I've been excited for this year's WPPD since the last one, so I will definitely be shooting this year! Thanks for the link, I will submit this year!
Thanks for watching! 😀
