I had 18 acres in Loudon county TN, Lenoir city. Well my family sold it all y’all except for an acre or two but there’s always been deer on those couple acres. Good luck! 🍀 I live in Harlan Ky now and it’s all big timber without a drop of agricultural land. I’ve had to hunt scrapes and beds when I can find them. This is a truly hard place to hunt and not even professional hunters could come here and kill a mature buck.

This is great stuff. I want to get more into big woods /hills and this about the best breakdown I've seen. What's really, really, really helpful is showing the why amd how you'd set up.

I just moved to northern Pennsylvania I heard hunting I. The mountains is different than Michigan where u just have to hunt runways anyone have any tips ?
I live in an old coal mining town in southeastern Ky where people say you don’t want to be anyways! There’s huge old bucks here but they are very hard to find and actually kill and getting a huge deer out of these rough mountains is very difficult! I do have some property butted up against Blanton National Forest which is the oldest old growth forest in Ky. There’s a ton of bear and no season to thin them out. Bobcats and coyotes are also a big problem here. I hunt scrapes near or on the top of ridges or on old log roads that have zero access for vehicles and four wheelers. Still not having great luck. I only bow hunt so I’ve tried utilizing game cameras but they usually get destroyed by bear! All professional hunters stay clear of our bottom right end of Ky! Anyways I’d love to invite you and a few of your professional hunter friends to come here and find and kill an old huge buck! All advice is appreciated!

Another great video Beau. Way to break it down and give everyone some food for thought. 🤔 Makes me think of areas around the house 🏠 that I get to hunt. What is weird is that I have yet to watch a buck push a doe around during the rut.

Bucks are just now starting to rub a few trees here in south eastern Ky. Nothing but huge mountains and log roads and abandoned coal mines. Your welcome to come try to find a mature buck. It took my father 7 yrs to kill his first and biggest buck here in Harlan Ky.
