The graphics are definitely good but they do look like an unreal game not an X ray game if you understand me which obviously makes sense. That's not to say it's worse, just not the same. Mind you I have no clue what a modern X ray graphics and engine style would resemble.

The game looks incredible. The devs really knocked it out of the park with the ambiance of the world. Gameplay looks smooth and animations looks on point. So far im really impressed especially with the graphics.
I'm sure you've mentioned it in another video, but the reason why they've started using the "psee" pronunication, as well as calling it "psi-radiation", is presumably because of the real life Alpha, Beta, and Gamma forms of radiation. Psi is also a character from the Greek alphabet, unlike "Psy" which is a Latin root (though it is based on Psi). So the idea is that "Psi-radiation" is an entirely new form of radiation that was perhaps created/discovered by the original scientists. There is apparently a cut document that was supposed to be found in X-16 that says the following: "The carried out tests showed the appearance of uncontrolled peak bursts of psi-radiation and induced fields after 5-6 minutes of continuous operation. The strength of the psi-field reached values 50-60 percent higher than the calculated parameters of the installation. In absolute values of 170-190 psiA. The instructions say in black and white "it is strictly forbidden to increase the power of psi-radiation above 120 psiA".
Yes, I suspect "psi-emissions" is the scientific term, possibly popularized by the SIRCAA, while "psy-emissions" is more commonly used by stalkers in reference to "psychic-emissions". I asked the question to GSC for clarification and is still waiting for an answer. For you information, the psi-A unit of measurement is present in a document of the ARG so they brought it back in the canon.
Great analysis, and delivered quicker than I expected. Really thanks for what you do, I carefully examine all the materials myself, but you always find something that I miss! The plot regarding the fate of Clear Sky promises to be interesting, considering the fact that there is some underground location beneath their base - in the prequel itself there were hints that Lebedev and Kalancha were hiding something, and it seems that this topic will most likely be expanded upon.
I am honestly thrilled they combined Zaton and swamps, it makes more sense with the geography of the real area. Not thrilled about the faster day night cycle, but mods will fix that very easily I feel.
Zaton (Backwater) is a real area and it is not located there, it's North-West of the CNPP. However many landmarks GSC put in the area are from other parts of the real Zone.
Its nice to see that STALKER gets it right with the description of the G36/GP37 being ergonomic. Games like Escape from Tarkov and Stalcraft constantly get this wrong.
Interesting you brought up @5:43 as there does seem to be some air control as he is falling to the ground. This game looks extremely fun and on keyboard and mouse it's going to feel like a dream.
As someone who's still fairly new to the franchise, I really appreciate your breakdowns pinking up on some details I wouldn't, and things that connect back to the previous games.
I watched the deep dive without paying attention to details, as I was waiting for you to do this for us! I wasn't expect you to upload so quickly though, I can't imagine how long it takes you to make those videos. You help us to better understand the game and be more prepared! Thanks! I like the Deep Dive, I was shouting like ItsTommyLove in some parts and if the game is so awesome as it looks it will be on my hard drive for years! (I hope my RTX 2060 laptop can handle it though!) I don't know if anyone spotted it, but in the Deep Dive gameplay video they didn't put a "subject to change" or similar disclaimer that game developers do on pre-release footage. That means the game is indeed ready and 20th of November may be the final-final release date! (also stalker 2 got the M rated!).

That would explain his rapid listing of so many’s whereabouts- what if he was really being shown each one of them?

Maaaan im so hyped 😬 i know it sucked that it took so long for a new stalker game (just a few years ago it was all but confirmed that stalker was officially a dead series but kept alive by awesome mods) but i think the devs were also biding their time waiting for the best "gaming atmosphere" to release stalker 2. Now that survival-looter-shooter post apocalyptic/dystopian games (tarkov, fallout,metro all the zombie games) are more popular and are in more demand than ever now is the time for stalker to make a comeback!
What I found striking was just how similar Clear Sky’s defenses are to The Group’s. They used similar overclocked psi-emitters to keep their research safe, albeit on a smaller scale than the Brain Scorcher or Miracle Machine. It just shows that, despite their differing scientific path, the heads of Clear Sky never let go of the methods and philosophies of their former colleagues: believing that if their small group of geniuses were left alone by society they’d be able to fix everything.

Well, it's the sap of Sosnovsky's hogweed which is dangerous. It contains photosensitive substance, which leads to severe skin burns under sunlight. So it's not like cactus, when you run into it and receive damage :)

I really hope that artifacts wont be just always invisible without detector. I really like the idea of most of them being always visible, but usually buried under rubble, vegetation etc., and thats where detectors come in (Not necessarily in-game, but as a lore thing).
But Skif moves around too. And dudes that became zombies also moved at some point. Stalkers most likely avoid swamps as a plague due to psi field (set up by clear sky), anomalies and mutants. Probably dangers outweigh any potential rewards for most. But Faust is not looking for treasures and we also have bigger purpose on our hand. Also nothing confirms that Faust moving through area was "unhindered". It may well be very hindered we are just not around to see it.
I appreciate you looking out for GSC regarding the missing map sector on the top right 😅 Gamedev is hell and nobody ever has enough time to tackle the small things, but then again - this is their biggest reveal, so i must chuckle.

But either way if you look at the left edge of that blocky area, you can clearly see a hard edge where the textures become different, making it very clear that the entire upper right is a single rectangular area from a different source that was overlaid on top.
@F1stzz It could have been blurred, but it wasn't blurred. Look, if you want to censor an area, you don't need to rip out map chunks and then capture the gaping hole on your world snapshot. Surely not for the big reveal. It could very realistically be an out of bounds area, that's true. I wish them all luck regardless 🇺🇦✊️
Dear God this game looks so freaking amazing! Few games get me excited anymore. Robo-Cop and SystemShock remake were the only other two in recent memory to get me psyched.
Part of me wants to think that Skif is also a former Monolith soldier, just speculation from what they've shown so far but that's just my thought. Also great video! have been enjoying your stuff for some time now

This game will be such a treat to all the people that played all the prequels. I will definetly get into modding for this game even though i have only experience in Arma modding but i since this is UE5 it wont be that hard since its basically C++ Stalker COP only had 34 Weapons if you dont count the Explosive category so 35 weapons isnt that bad considering i allways thought stalker was filled with different guns even without mods.
While I won't hold my expectations high before I get to play it, I really want to say that so far what they've showed is insane, and I can't imagine what the modding community will be able to do in stalker 2

Maybe this area with different color in glitched area located under normal map near swamps is map of Zaton from Call of Pripyat for development purposes.
The only thing I want in S2 is that when you die, its shows abruptly "Lost to the Zone/ Game over" while everyone doesnt give a shit at your lifeless corpse.
In shadow of Chernobyl version 1.0.0 i recall there being a 0.02kg room of weight right under overweight where you could only slowwalk bud didn't regenerate stamina. id think that would be the new red zone of stamina bar.

GSC could've intentionally make the said cycle go faster in order to showcase the graphics for different weather types in the game.
