This is my last Lore video before the blowout of September 5. Back in 2020, my first real Lore video was about Strelok, so we've come full circle. Thank you to all the stalkers who followed me through this journey. I'll see you in the Zone after the release.
What if Ghost and Fang successfully defeated the ambush at the warehouses, including the third merc? By now they were getting paranoid with other groups following them, including this latest set up, so they decided to send misinformation that the ambush was partially successful and Fang had died. Ghost and Fang buried one of the mercs (perhaps the scarred one) and labelled the grave Fang. Faking Fang's death would be a good way of stopping others from tracking him. Fang and Ghost split up, with Fang going north to Pripyat where he actually dies, while Ghost heads back south to Yantar to keep a low profile. It's odd that Ghost can describe the third merc's eye colour despite seeing him ~100m away, which supports the idea that things didn't happen as written. I think in reality it's just discontinuity in the writing, but it's fun to think of viable scenarios.
You forgot about the famous stalker Laundry Laundryov. He was apart of Strelok’s group from the start and did Strelok’s Laundry while he was storming the CNPP. How people always forget about him really shows how prevalent the Mandela affect is nowadays.
You forgot his middle name. His full name would be Laundry "Laundromat" Laundryov, and hes rumored to say "i dont trust you" if you approach the laundromat under specific conditions
Fang sounds unhinged ngl and i love him for it Like, imagine a crazy guy in exo swearing to himself while roaming the zone, casually raiding some old ass buildings looking for parts
The man himself!!! Thank you brother I have officially been through almost every video you have posted. Me and my father played this together and now like you say it's all coming full circle with the trilogy on Xbox and stalker 2 so close.Thank you
@@templarknightac yeah He was chosen for this investigation because of the skills he gathered And in CoP intro the story teller tells us that he was a stalker and after awhile he became a Military Stalker(stalkers that are trusted by the military and carry out task deeper in the zone where military is not exactly welcomed but everybody in the zone affraid of military stalkers)
32:50 Here's my head cannon: Strelok in Clear Sky is clearly more youthful (maybe in his early 30's) as well as experinced so he's not as disfigured or wounded as he is in later games. Which might lead me to why his model is the same in SoC and probably why it isn't the same as in cutscenes either. Strelok in SoC is clearly disfigured/scarred from the battle at the CNPP before the emission, also probably aged heavily from such damage. His face in cutscenes is probably supposed to be his "final" look in game, however his design in the icon and his model in game tell us that he was supposed to be only disfigured but still young looking. This might also be the reason why so many NPC's you meet in SoC don't recognize him as Strelok, since if they truly met him face to face, he would look nothing like the young adventure seeker from before. Also kind of weird that in SoC cutscenes, he has a deeper voice but in Clear Sky he has a high pitched voice when talking. Maybe its from him being tired or talking to friends compared to anyone else? Finally in CoP we have our more aged and experienced Strelok who probably aged faster from combat, drugs (alcohol and cigs), and the stress of everyday living in the zone. Wonder if we see him in STALKER 2, and if he has aged more or has stayed the same.
Development of the Shoc was complicated and the story itself was all over the place. Cutscenes were made way before the actual game. You weren’t Strelok in Oblivion Lost, Strelok was an entirely a different character.
19:38 My theory, or at least my coping mechanism, is that the team knew there was someone, or a party, on their trail, so they said they left the decoders at the brain scorcher while actually putting them in a possibly prediscussed stash. Strelok then also faked saying he was going straight to the CNPP to throw off whoever was on his tail to get butchered by the monolith hordes. Strelok didnt go to the stashes since they were worried about time and also to leave behind distracting info for Scar to find. My big explanation for the conflicting events was the hope that Scar wouldn't get ahold of any of the valuable PDAs. I think they left behind Fang's PDA and the recording in the stash to throw of Scar, since we know the group was very resourceful. Then they left behind notes and potential fake stashes to try and make the merc rush towards the plant to die, allowing Strelok and Ghost to meet up and go to the CNPP without a problem. The comms that discussed the locations I believe weren't meant to be seen, but they were vague just on the off chance. Then someway through they realized they were discovered and had to change plans via more comms. If they were smart, I think they'd have more than one PDA just to serve as a backup incase one or more were compromised. I could be wrong but this helps me sleep easier at night. Have a good one! Thanks for your videos.

@@anomalousdugout9557 seriously, thank you so much for your wonderful content throughout the years. Personally, I've never felt closer to the community. Been watching for a long time and peep a video at least once a day. Thanks again, Anomalous ✌️
Great analysis as always. The chronology of the group's activities and events related to it is one of the less precise elements of the lore, which is most likely the result of the fact that different developers worked on each part of the series, and they probably didn't know what it all was supposed to look like themselves. As for Guide, it's never really stated that he was a member of the group in any way. From what we know, he was only an acquaintance of Ghost, so it's quite possible that he never met Strelok before the events of SoC. In the original concept of the dialogue between Strelok and Degtyarev, which is included in one of the design documents of CoP, it's mentioned that Strelok was supposed to say that Guide was only a friend of Ghost, without implying that he himself is associated with him. One possible explanation for why Fang has a grave in Pripyat is that it was simply some other Fang who was buried there. Not all stalkers have unique nicknames, in the trilogy there are characters who share the same name but are different people, so it is possible that there was another Fang in the Zone. As for Fang's killer - it's worth noting that the idea of copies of stalkers created by the noosphere was a concept that was abandoned early in development, and even when it existed, it was not considered that Scar would be Fang's killer. The devs established that Scar wouldn't be the one to kill Fang long before the game's release, so the theories that it was a copy of Scar, or that there is even some cut content related to Fang's killing, don't make much sense if we follow the history of the prequel's development. Anyway, good video, we'll see if the new developers try to clarify some of these inconsistencies in Stalker 2.
This was a great one. To get all the info in one place like this was really helpful to get a better understanding. I also loved Strelok's voice in SoC. He just never sounded right in CS or CoP. Strelok also has the most manly hairline of a true man. I should know, I'm rocking that hairline myself.

Fang's death is really difficult... I'd like to believe hes buried in Pripiat tho, hauling an exoskeleton all the way there seems difficult, and it makes him kind of more of a chad locational wise to have you grave.
32:45 also I wonder what the guide means with "If you say who you are.. .you'll probably know" I feel like strelok didnt even tell him who he was but Guide knew and wanted to subtly jog his memory?
@@lennic It's possible Guide knew something was wrong with Strelok but it was dangerous to address it. You don't live long enough to be as experienced in the messed up universe of the Zone as Guide, and good at navigation in hostile territory as him, without a strong sense of intuition.

They definitely had a great friendship, like brothers. Maybe we will see Strelok paying his respects to the graves of both Fang and Ghost, or see the graves sometimes with items left by Strelok. (When we start modding STALKER 2 tho, someone gotta get that "press F to pay respects" animation for Ghost and Fangs graves)
Wonder if there are going to be Monolith stashes around with the X symbol around the Zone. And how of the stashes are going to be similar places, some graves count as stashes after all.
Its just crazy how the army in Call of Prypiat just forget the crimes the Strelok did in Shadow of Chernobyl, the main thing killing the army forces in agroprom.

27:33 The body stayed, buried, and his gear went on with his fellow men, like once said, "Take care of Shooter and Shooter takes care of you", his upgraded Deagle and VSS lending saving graces to comrades, as him in spirit, to then be stashed later on a homage tomb, with a pharaonic's load of meds, artifacts and etc.
Well, Marked One's task on PDA can only be explained that Marked One is indeed a copy and the real Strelok is out there and maybe still holds the secrets about the Zone but has to stay low because he might have discovered the fake double and it could be not wise to show up...
my theory was that he was mistakenly sent to kill Strelok and it should have been Ghost as he was just as dangerous and still alive. Also explains why its Ghosts picture in the task description.
I have a theory as to why the notes left in the stashes might seem contradictory. If Strelock, Ghost, and Fang actually met up, or at least got close enough for radio contact, they might have made plans that rendered the notes obsolete. That might be why they don't seem to make any sense, based on the behavior and actions we know they took. Just a thought.
I think all four of Streloks photos shown actually still look like him, but it almost appears as if he is aging rapidly compared to the short time spanned between the photos. This itself could open a can of theories, from the artefacts changing him, to simply the wear and tear The Zone will do to a person over years worth of time inside, so on. In the SoC photo, you can see Strelok looks almost young and innocent-ish, like a proper rookie I guess. In the following photos there is of course some artistic discrepency and design alterations but the face still resembles the same person. In the fourth photo, it looks as if Strelok aged 10-20 years and is weathered, scarred, old and wise. The timelapse of the photos could be seen as simply the man being changed over time. From The Zone and anomalies and artefacts, to aging itself, injuries sustained over time. The journey itself. All in all I dont find the photo differences very suspicious of speculation in a deeper way, simply some minor artistic changes over time but still resembling Strelok perfectly fine. Thats just how I see it anyway, just wanted to share and see what anyone else thinks.

I wonder about those Clear Sky predictions about another great emission. They said that if Strelok would reach the Sarcophagus, another such emission would eradicate all life in the Zone, but during events of the game, it happened even after Scar fried his psy helmet. So were CS predictions wrong, or did their involvement actually saved people in the Zone?
@anomalousdugout9557 Hope you notice that comment. Already posted that 2 times, but i'll repost as an individual comment. I found an interesting detail. Fang from Streloks group is known to burr a lot in his speech. If you listen closely to a dialogue of unknown man in black and Skif in the "Official Gameplay Trailer" you can CLEARLY hear, that he burrs in his speech, also he said that Zone give him a new life. Probably, just a theory, it's resurrected Fang. In English version of the game Barkeep says that Fang spoke with a lisp, but in the Russian version Barkeep says that Fang burrs, what means pronouncing "r" softly with the back of the tongue. I am native russian speaker, so it was quite unexpected to hear.
@@anomalousdugout9557 Sorry for spamming, it was 4 in the morning, lol, for some reason i thought it would be missed in the barrage of all of other comment. My apologiez.
Perhaps the decode confusion thing is just the result of bad wording? Perhaps Strelok is saying to Ghost that Fang put together one decode and Ghost is saying that Fang put together 2 other decoders? That would explain the third decoder in Prypiat.
Maybe the guy on the photo in “kill strelok” part is not strelok but actually fang? How this photo appeared on marked one’s pda? Somebody put it there? Maybe it is the same photo killers of fang used to identify the target?
Because Shadow of Chernobyl was the first game, and it had a very difficult development stage. They designed a game for years, and then erased the majority of the project and started over again. The story of Shadow of Chernobyl is shallow and there are so many questions, that’s the reason. You can think of it as Sakharov used to saw so many people that he is not good at remembering peoples faces or Strelok had a mask on in Shadow of Chernobyl.

Strelok also looks kinda different after his second expedition, being all f up and all that

Finally a new video.
BTW, when you get a new PC, pls do more STALKER 1 series videos. On Ultra settings if possible :P !
I'll do my best, the PC is coming.
Good video bro
Thanks.
Strelok will picklock the Stalker 2 lock to... [SPOILER SEGMENT]...

Ohhh brother just heard the news and this one stings but what can one do.
Another banger
Thanks.
It'd be cool if HBO or BBC made a Stalker show. I see Mark Strong cast as Strelok 😃

@@lboyadgiev8820 Very useful... Anyway when will the next emission come?
This video helped me a lot making the story video about ghost and vasilievs final mission I tagged you in it i hope you get the chance to check it out someday!
10/10 stalker 🔥
Thanks!
How u gonna drop a gem at 3am❤❤❤
I do what I can :)
Yes, it seems to me they over exaggerated.
Wake up babe! New Anomalous Dugout vid just dropped! ❤️
Yes.
Any newbie Xbox homies looking into to the lore after finally getting to play this game?
Always sad he wasn't named Strelak, being it would be an Anagram of Stalker.
@anomalousdugout9557
Hope you notice that comment.
Yes I saw your comment, sorry if I did not respond yet. It's a very interesting detail you noticed, thank you for sharing!
@@anomalousdugout9557 Sorry for spamming, it was 4 in the morning, lol, for some reason i thought it would be missed in the barrage of all of other comment. My apologiez.
Soon as I seen the video I clicked.
Thank you.
Perhaps the decode confusion thing is just the result of bad wording? Perhaps Strelok is saying to Ghost that Fang put together one decode and Ghost is saying that Fang put together 2 other decoders? That would explain the third decoder in Prypiat.
Man, Thong is a real meanie
Ghost was a legend
Rip ghost 😔
Let's drink to him once more, he was a good stalker.
The Representative's voice actor is the same Lebedev's voice actor xD
In the English version yeah.
Maybe the guy on the photo in “kill strelok” part is not strelok but actually fang? How this photo appeared on marked one’s pda? Somebody put it there? Maybe it is the same photo killers of fang used to identify the target?
Its Ghost, actually
So am I wrong in saying that monolith has some of the best equipment in the zone?
Also worth noting is that strelok's balls appear to of dropped between clear sky and shadow of Chernobyl judging from his voices difference.
🤣
Arrow is strela (стрела), though, strelok is more of a shooter\sharpshooter kinda name
36:00
You got a ping
Indeed.
strelok has a ton of luck that monolith's programming was so weak otherwise he would shoot himself the second he learned that HE was his target
T.H.E.G.O.A.T
:)
AS A KID MY DREAM WAS TO LIVE IN STALKER WORLD AND DRINK AND SMOKE AND EAT WITH BOYS 😢
Unemployed friends on a Tuesday afternoon
🤣
One thing I never understood is if Strelok already met Sakharov in Clear Sky, how come he didn't recognize him in Shadow of Chernobyl?
It's a mystery...
Simple ....
Sakharov is senile
Because Shadow of Chernobyl was the first game, and it had a very difficult development stage. They designed a game for years, and then erased the majority of the project and started over again. The story of Shadow of Chernobyl is shallow and there are so many questions, that’s the reason. You can think of it as Sakharov used to saw so many people that he is not good at remembering peoples faces or Strelok had a mask on in Shadow of Chernobyl.
1. Strelok wore a mask
2. He was pretty messed up after the first journey
Cheeki breeki
super vidéo, mais ducoup si la conscience collective est détruite les monolith il va leurs arrivée quoi ?
On va très vite le savoir avec la sortie du prochain opus.
