  • In today's episode of Lambvinskis Garage, we went and bought a 1965 Dodge D100 off of Facebook Marketplace! Now we have to drive it 370 miles home! Do you think it'll do it? Of course it will, but strap in and watch anyways as I go on this cold ride home and we give it a tune up once we get home! It's hard to beat these old trucks with a good running 318 and 4 speed manual transmission! Enjoy!

    The music is perfect for the scenery/trip. I lived in LaGrande in 1979-80.

    Back to work after the holidays, slow as hell with some weird weather here in Alberta and Lambvinski puts out a new video. Seems like a damn good day to me!

    Solid looking truck. Nice to see some familiar countryside from the seat of a Sweptline!! Spent quite a bit of time in The Dalles as a kid, my great grandparents lived there. I came from a little west, and the other side of The Gorge in Camas. Great channel guys, keep up the great content... I gotta get back to work here on UA-cam!! Thanks for the motivation boys!!

    Nice pickem up you might think about changing out the front brake hoses.

      Brake hoses appeared to be in good shape and we had no air in the system, we'll change the master cylinder and it'll be just mint.

    Man, that's a rig there. I like the color combo. I rarely ever see these trucks anywhere.

      We have a few of them but this is the first two tone like this we've picked up! I've gotten them with white or black roofs, but not like this.

    Very cool video. Thanks for taking us on your road trip. I have a 66 f100 that I will be driving from Austin to Luckenbach this weekend, It's about 100 miles, but it will be the first road trip for the old truck.

    Return lines are plugged up in the heads take them off and run a old steel coat hanger down through the 4 corners of the heads the oil is probably staying on top of the head

    I thought '66 was the first year for the wide back window. My '65 had the small back window like my '61 and '64 Power Wagons. My '66 Power Wagon had the wide back window like your's has.

    That side trim seems odd. Almost looks like they forgot a piece on each side

    • @LambvinskisGarage
      @LambvinskisGarage  Рік тому

      I agree! That's how they came though, the later models had the full trim that followed the whole line

    Just curious to know is cylinder 4 your the cause of the oil consumption?

    • @LambvinskisGarage
      @LambvinskisGarage  Рік тому

      It is certainly part of it, but it's not all of it. I ran the truck very hard and I think that was a lot of it.

    Curious, did you ever guestimate fuel mileage?

    • @LambvinskisGarage
      @LambvinskisGarage  Рік тому

      I wanted to but with how it panned out I wasn't able to, but I would guess 12 or so? Give or take.

    • @LambvinskisGarage
      @LambvinskisGarage  8 місяців тому

      No, I believe I was just running it too hard doing 60-65. I've only had to top it off once since this trip almost a year ago.
