We got his Oliver tractor, two Farmall Cubs, and his 1929 Oldsmobile running again for the first time in a couple of years! It's always a treat to come and spend time out here. Anyway, grab ...

Montana Treasure Island
Worked like a charm!! I was gonna go out and buy a special cleaner - trust me you don’t need to!! I’m so shocked how well it worked!!❤❤
Where is that salvage yard in Montana that you got the truck and bed?
On a budget you could use a brand new 2150 carb
@gypsyshot5225 you could, this was a junkyard carb and a rebuild kit, worked awesome, so it was also pretty budget friendly.
My A J S 500 single 1956 model I bought in 1964 I bought in Townsville for £40 quid Second hand Engine unstoppable . Magneto with advance & retard adjust ignition to start and cruise . Clutch cork and spring pressure plate generator works now and then for lights . Gear box had a spring selector plate that pushed the selector down First , up second , up third , up fourth and away you go yeah ?? Then the selector would drop into first and you’d go alright . So first make sure you check your AJS gear selector next We used Wale grease , jelly type grease full to lubricate gears . Forget oil you put in this side and watch it run out the other , to start turn fuel on tickle emale carburator till full . Place on centre stand roll the back wheel of compression . Worked AJS engine 9 to 1 comp . Adjust you your advance lever , climb aboard and push down with your weight on your kick starter . Should start . Now when running and your riding First gear second Gear third gear and you put a bit of a show on for the girls . You know , the barstard gearbox will drop into first and you hangin on for grim life sitting on petrol tank . Ah the joys of 1964 motorcycles . Good old days . The only good things about the good old days there gone . You stay up right . Andrej Kondisenko Cairns Australia 🇦🇺

@robertpasquini4097 yeah, I get it. I wasn't a very good editor back when I made this video, I've gotten better since.
Looks like the shifter position on any old British bike I have seen.....or owned.....that looks stock
That is the correct gearbox, leave it alone. Lovely bike.
@angelsone-five7912 yes, I learned later that the one we have to put in is a later updated gearbox.
@@LambvinskisGarage The AMC gearbox of later years was bullet proof.
Hurray!!🎉🎉!! Really glad she woke up for you😊 Great effort, great vibes, from Brit Bike owner & devotee!
@@AA-nt5qw it gave me quite the leg workout, but it was worth it!
When I was 6 a hired hand from the farm down the road had a basket case Matchless 500 . Helped (lol) him put it together in his basement and went out to the track . This was my first experience with 2 wheeled heaven and has never left me . What a great bike .
Gorgeous G80, well done for saving her. She gave your right leg a good workout.
Triumph next please. My buds and I all had bikes in HS (1964-1968). All British, with some early Hondas in the mix. We all hated Harleys, thought they all oil leaking ancient hogs rode by thuggish types (which was the reality where we lived). The old split case jobs were just a pain in the a**. Leaked oil bad. The primary cases never held oil like they were supposed to. I'm curious about your other trans for this Matchless as it has standard British controls now, shifter on the right, brake on the left, first is up, rest are down. I had Triumphs and BSA's, all 650's. Loved those bikes, especially once I was able to move into the 70's versions, which were way better than the 50's and 60's ones. Except those rotten Amal carbs! After my second crash due the slide sticking in wide open, I moved to a V-65 Honda with Mikuni's. Never looked back.
@terrystewart2070 the Triumph would be a fun one! It's a 650 Bonneville, I rode it a bit when we first got it, and it was a ton of fun, loud, and good power. Sounds like you had lots of fun with bikes!
Side note: There was and egg ranch about a mile from house, and I went to school with the kid who's parents owned it. They were extremely "resourceful" LOL They had every piece of equipment they had ever bought going back to pre war, never had anything newer than early 50's, and they had a Matchless like this leaning on a tree in the yard for years and years. I tried to buy it many times over a several year period, but no, they woudn't sell, they had plans to take the wheels off it and make an egg harvesting cart out of them! It's probably still there LOL I should go see!
@terrystewart2070 wow that's crazy! I wonder if they ever did anything with it!
U can hear the power in that sum bitch !
Just because they didn't make a lot of them doesn't make it one of the rarest . Unless it was a one off or an odd combination it's just an old work truck.
@@frederickhettesheimer2698 low production numbers would make it pretty rare. How many have you seen going down the road in the last 10 years?
@LambvinskisGarage without going to car shows how many 57 Chevrolet have you seen in the last 10 years, there not rare. The trucks where worked hard and discarded
@frederickhettesheimer2698 yeah, exactly...which makes it...rare. lol.
Did you ever finish this
@d.w.langman3099 not yet, life got in the way, and it got set on the back burner. Hope to start on it again soon though!
Nice video. I just bought a D500 here in Sweden it is from 1966 and 50.000km was an old airfield firetruck and now a nice pick up. Im a car collector but have only Volvos so i desided to get me an nice american truck to and oboy what i love my dodge truck. Thanks for a great video :)

Amazing vehicles 👍👌
Gold mine...😮
They've probably got hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars sitting there rusting away. If they don't want to be answering the phone themselves then could employ someone to do it, also if they could employ someone to pull parts for them (and go round and check the doors etc. each evening. If they don't want to pull parts themselves, then I'd say they're in the wrong business. I'm also guessing the real reason the old boy who shepherd you around did so, not he wanted to show you around, but because he didn't trust you or anyone else anyone pulling the parts themselves. 😂
@barrystraw3332 they gave us free reign to do whatever we wanted in the yard, but you had to come back and ask about parts before pulling and such. They've been doing it this way FOREVER and are quite successful and don't ever have problems. I think they know what they're about, what they're doing, and content with it.
I have to say I don't understand the owners, they're saying that they are running out of room, but they don't want to be advised because they don't want a lot of phone calls and more trade....? 🤔 DOH...!!!
@barrystraw3332 it was because they don't want to be bothered with crap that doesn't pay. If you can go pick it up, great, if not, they don't want to ship. OR pull the parts and have someone change their mind, and I don't blame them a bit.
Excellent work on saving that classic original bumper.
@jeffreyflick4501 thank you! We were super happy with how it turned out!
You walked right into his fart?
I think he sh!t himself, he was real quiet after that.
I just bought a 66 D400-based Blue Bird school bus. Before finding it I never even knew Dodge built medium duty trucks! Thanks for this video!
@TechTimeTraveller thats awesome! I've seen a few busses, but I haven't had the chance to buy one haha. There's a really cool one in a couple of scenes in Duel!
@LambvinskisGarage Thanks!! Up until I came across this one, amazingly located just 20 mi from my house, I'd never heard of Dodge based school buses either. Mine is in really good physical shape- but what you mentioned about mice and tail pipes.. ugh. I finally got the hood on mine open and it's a rat metropolis. I'm really hoping they didn't find their way into the engine. Which I think is a 318 poly.. the alternator is mounted over to the top driver side rather than lower passenger side like on yours.
@@LambvinskisGarageI posted some pics of mine on allpar BTW if you want to see it. I've been searching for more pics of Dodge buses but not a lot found so far.

@colinl9018 most common thing to happen in North Dakota, and surrounding states, is to hoard it all, then have a big sale just before you die, or just after. Just seems to be how it works. If you went here with a big fist full of cash, you could buy whatever you want.

The only thing that this truly needs to be is a roalback with a 19.5 wheel n tire package diesel fuel engine of some kind not sure if anybody even remembers the name of the diesel engine dodge used . 21 foot steel bed you can load anything. When I was a little kid in the mid 60’s my Dad & I would tag along with our next door neighbor as he ran an old 392 Hemi powered dragster .
