I gotta say, I really love the true honor between Garm and Kratos in this, they truly understood each other and acted accordingly. After Kratos killed him the first time, he took it VERY personal, assuming that Garm has died endless times, I love the intensity and fear when Kratos fights him the second time, Garm is legit going for him instead of it being a " duel".

@@MightyCaullie it’s cool right? Everything about their behavior when they first engaged one another, in my opinion anyway, was saw by Garm as Kratos accepted his challenge, per the “rules” of being a warrior , with Garm being a sole protector and Kratos being a God of war, there was a mutual understanding of Respect for the fight, however when Kratos killed him as per his “ways”, Garm no longer saw it as a duel but an actual threat to him and his purpose. Great shtuff man lol

One aspect to notice is I love how Garm's eyes change, at first they are completely white, devoid of a soul with a terrifying demeanor and full of rage. After Atreus stabs Garm with his sword housing Fenrir's soul, Fenrir is brought back from the dead and Garm's eyes change from soulless white to being full colored pupils showing life and a soul within and thus fenrir is reborn.

The Garm of legend was essentially the Norse equivalent of Cerberus, as in Hel the goddesses guard dog, it’s kind of funny that they gave him the power open portals throughout the realms.
Also, it kind of makes sense that Garm can’t die, because he is literally the guardian of the land of the dead.

He wasn't purpose-made ror guarding Helheim. He was a ravening monster that the gods chained and imprisoned in Helheim, where his savagery kept the dead in line. Making Fenrir his son in the same way people who love their pets see them more as family members like a son/daughter family member, rather than just a pet. (Loki did recreate Fenrir by putting his soul in Garm, so he is kinda like a father in an odd sort of way)

A problem I have with most of the boss fights in this game is that it lacks true epic ness to me, the Gods don’t feel so much like Gods as much as simply powerful individuals, the only other that comes close is the first fight you have with Thor.
