@@Daniel_Batal I'm new to DR and will likely end up buying a license just for this one feature. But, after seeing your video I went looking for the 'Smart Reframe' option in the software and did not see it. After some head scratching, rubbing my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing/not seeing things, and then doing some googling; I discovered that it's for Studio version only.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to point out this little tidbit in the video to prevent any confusion/disappointment among viewers. 🐿️

Moved from Prem to Resolve last week after getting a BMPCC 4K and omg its so much smoother and easier to edit. I will never go back to Prem.

Lost a ton of subscribers from that one. Live streams can be tricky but I think they're important.
@Daniel_Batal No worries... Like u said in the livestream (or somebody) ... As long as your gaining more than your losing in the long run your doing fine. Plus if u lost subs because of that, they werent real supporters anyway. Id rather have 3 REAL friends than 10 FAKE friends... In the end you'll gain more progress with real people in your corner and less headache.
It's just churn. I lose 1,500 -2,000 subscribers every month regardless. It's not so much about them being fake, it's more about changing interests. Totally understandable.

I use Bandicam to screen capture them. Resolve to edit them.

I’m using Resolve Studio 18.5 BETA
What’s up Daniel. I can edit competently but wouldn’t consider myself a pro. It’s time consuming process to create a story and well edited video so I keep it simple. Is their a feature where you Resolve can automatically sync your clips to a song? Without a plug-in! There’s obviously some iOS apps that do this but was wondering if DaVinci can. Thanks. Love the simplicity of your shorts.
There is no push-button feature in Resolve that will do that.
You might want to stick with simple push-button editing apps for that kind of thing.
Resolve is a pro level editor designed for high level functionality.
Hey @@Daniel_Batal Those one push button features are ok, when it comes to making adjustments on them it's not ideal, would rather have it on a big screen. DaVinci is super overwhelming and to edit UA-cam videos fast is not my forte. Will see in future.
Can Resolve show estimated file size before rendering ?
Not that I'm aware of currently, but fact-check me on that.

It’ll track a moving target’s center as long as that target conforms with tracking standards

Yeah, the auto tracking is pretty decent.
I followed these instructions, smart reframing a person who was speaking. But when I exported the video there was a bad echo in the audio track for the frist few seconds. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi Daniel, these shorts are amazing, but I'm yet to take the plunge across from *cough cough* filmora 12 *cough* as a real novice, I still find DaVinci Resolve really intimidating... any tips or tricks I've missed? Also, animated effects like the subscription plan with Filmora brings, is there anything in DaVinci that can link these in?
Lots of places like Motion Array make animations for the pro level editors like DaVinci

My opinion? No. I always try to shoot in the aspect ratio I'm planning the project to be built at (with a few exceptions). The reason being is that you're reducing the resolution of your video when you crop that much.
A 3840 x 2160 16:9 clip cropped to 9:16 ends up at 1215 x 2160.
If you just flip your camera 90°, you'll get a full UHD 2160 x 3840 resolution.
auto reframe option is not showing in Davinci R 18.6

If there is something I show that you really like or need as a feature that you don't current have, I'm hoping that you add it to your checklist of reasons why you would consider purchasing the Studio version or deciding that you don't need it and continue using the free version.
