I don't see you add water ..Is the beef soft enough to bite ? Beef meet is tough,,even the tender loin needs more water to soften it..

Hi, the meat we used was Oyster Blade, which doesn't require as much cooking in itself. In the video I used tomato puree and red wine, for the amount of meat we had it was sufficient, I did add some more tomato puree to the dish. If I had used tomato paste instead of puree I would have added water also. When it finished cooking there was sufficient liquid and the meat was very tender. Give it a go according to what we did in the video, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the result, just make sure you use "Oyster Blade" cuts. Thanks for your question.

What other meats can be used; could lamb work with this recipe?

Hi there, traditionally rabbit is used but you can use braising beef or any beef that when slowly cooked becomes tender. Thanks.

Your spelling is piss poor. Perhaps you should go to school and learn about things like spelling, grammar, philosophy, and decency.

      Stifatho [stee-Fah-thoh]

noun. A Greek dish of meat stewed with onions and sometimes tomatoes. ... 'From traditional starters, such as tsatsiki, to mouth-watering Greek specialities, including spicy-sausage spetzofai and stifado, a lamb or rabbit stew, the Saily is paradise to the palate.'
