Excellent episode!! A must see!! Bill Cullen is hysterical.
This is friggin' brilliant.
Between the bad jokes and Henry's comments this has to be one of the best guest spots that Secret ever did!
When the panel started making comments about Bill Cullen’s jokes he did not look happy in the least
At the time, Peter and Mary were headlining an informal hour-long variety show on ABC's daytime schedule at 11:30am(et).
i always thought that the si, sy, so joke was written by jack benny's head writer quite a while back. i think maybe arlene and bill stole it.
or maybe Benny's writer's got it from Bill?
Bill wrote freelance jokes for Jack and other comedians. I don't know the timeline but maybe Bill gave Jack that joke, or a version of it that became the Jack and Mel Blanc routine.
The way the audience squealed at Bill’s turn should have been a dead give away.
@bigred997 Yes, it was. Hayes acts as if he's never heard it before, but it's hard to tell if he's kidding.
