They reappear toward the end of the episode in part 2. (2) "Mr. X" (Roy Riegels): "I made a 62-yard run in the Rose Bowl Game (in 1929), but I ran the wrong way."

Who knew that Ottawa's Haydon sisters could be found on youtube? Happy memories of them singing at Glebe Collegiate in Ottawa in the 50s. Remembering Sally as a nurse at the Civic and Michelle as a classmate. What fine singing! Ken Fisher.
For those wondering, Red Skelton had a "cardiac asthma" attack from heart failure on December 30, 1957 and nearly died. His son, Richard, had been diagnosed with Leukemia before that and died May 10, 1958.
The 1950's, what a wonderful era it looked to be. Decent people having a good time and I couldn't help but notice Winston Cigarettes as a major sponsor and a cartoon given away! Amazing. Anyway, what brought me here was another article about the wrong way run. Glad to see Roy having a good time with it and being able to laugh at himself a bit.

4 of us are! Sally (the oldest) passed away a year ago.

Poor kid; although he went on to lead a successful life.
I'm wondering if I'm the only person that is bothered by the girls being indicated as being from Ottawa, Canada instead of from Ottawa, Ontario. If a person was from Green Bay they would say Green Bay, Wisconsin and if a person was from Dallas they would say Dallas, Texas rather than saying Green Bay, U. S. A. or Dallas, U.S. A.
Roy was off the hook when Jim Marshall made people forget his wrong way run by orchestrating one of his own against the 49ers, of course unlike Roy, Jim scored the safety, he was no slow center, not even the Vikings secondary could catch him.
