Nick Boone died Jan 2023..he did become an architect but decided to become a Social Worker instead as he believed it was his ‘true calling’ and he excelled at it
Well Ridgely Howard who died in 2018 turned out to be quite the man. He was a Marine, CID investigator, ran a national security investigation agency and was a special investigator for the FBI and other government agencies as well as an arson investigator.
Now I know for sure I wasn’t imagining that television was better back then and especially at Christmas time. We looked forward to Christmas but now unfortunately everyday is Christmas for a lot of the world and our expectations are becoming unrealistic.
Funny to see Ule Breyners sister sing & dance & she's not mentioned anywhere in his biography. funny how one sibling goes on to fame & the other to obscurity
Pat Boons brother looked and sounded like him. Carol Burnetts sister I didn't guess. She doesn't have the dynamic voice like Carol. Henry Morgan has a beautiful baritone voice, his Mom alto. I see where he got his sweetness from, it was she. I've seen Bing Crosbys brother Everett in photos, but would not have guessed Bob Hope's brother or Dorothy Lamours son. I didn't know enough about the jazz groups famous folks to make a guess . That was fun. Talent must just run in the families.
Unbelievable watching Gary Moore smoke. There was one episode where a five or six-year- old said to him that he was going to die because he smokes cigarettes and he did end up dying from a cigarette smoke-related illness.
Maybe that was because she was wearing a dress, her hair was styled, she had poise, spoke quietly and intelligently, and had no tattoos. All this would have contributed to her seeming more mature than 16.
he looks a lot like pat boone - i was pretty sure that some of the contestants would know, if i could figure it out. i dont think the girl looks that much like carol burnett
This is a cooler show than I remember. Gary Moore is cooler than I remember. (But calling Betsy Palmer a fruitcake-----even in 1961 that meant a homosexual, didn't it?)

When Mr. Hope turned his head to whisper in Garry's ear, I recognized his nose. It was very similar to Bob's.
And Bob Hope's face was disfigured as a young man when he was working as a lineman for an electric company.

I was a boy when this aired. It is fantastic.
My mom was in the hospital when this aired. Having been born early that morning I was probably in the nursery.
I was 12 days old.
Both my parents have passed. We used to watch these on GSN. These bring back such lovely memories. Thank you for posting this!!!🤗
