Happy Sunday 🫶 Sorry I've been slacking a little bit lately, life has been so crazy - you'll see why soon 😉 Hope you've all been so well. I really appreciate your support even when I'm not posting as consistently. You are truly the best xx
It makes my day when we get a new video but when your life is too busy for a new upload I just watch some of the ol classics to get my Fern and Olive fix. ❤❤❤
I totally agree! It’s beautiful, healthy and it looks so well taken care of. My favorite collection too. Love it so much And of course Fern right?!?!? She is amazing
Give your Philodendron Narrow more feed and that flower will open!! :D Your Aglaonema 'Manila's Pride' also wants less light! Aglaonema need much less light than we expect. Give them too much and they freak out and only throw flowers, no leaves.
@@wildfern Sure thing! I had the same issue with so many of my aglaonemas because I was treating them like philodendrons. I changed things up and gave them less light and very quickly they stopped throwing flowers and began giving me leaves again! :D
My alocasia black velvet has done really well in self watering in soil. I honestly think they just love to be soaking wet at all times. Your philodendrons look so good. I need to get some inspiration and motivation to fix up some of mine!
Omg you are the first i’ve seen to say this. I have been saying this for years! Alocasia LOVE to be wet all the time. I will always use self watering for them. I have not been lucky enough to grab any Antherium yet…..but I know when I do it’s gonna be a whole new ball game ❤️ Some day
@@marymiller5824 My clarinervium has been pretty easy so far. Kaylee Ellen has a video on easy anthurium that you may want to check out when it's time! I got the clarinervium because it was her top recommendation.
Thank you for this wonderful update video. I always admire other people's Begonias. I only have one that is looking good. Most of mine become very leggy. Your Begonia therstonii is absolutely gorgeous!!!
Clicked SO FAST ❤️😂 yesss I was just wishing there was something new and planty to watch ❤ I’m about to start moving plants to my new plant shelf so it’s perfect timing ❤
I am on an alocasia kick too. They’re my favorite right now. I have maybe 6 in my bathroom. All in self watering and they’re thriving. I would love the Jacklyn!!! So cool
Loved your update, plants are loving spring time. I know you changed up your potting mix. Have you done a video about it? I want to start making my own in the future. Thanks so much❤😊
Hey I think my narrow is trying to bloom too! Oh spring. You know, that’s one of the plants I never wanted, but then I found it for 7€ and took it…and it just elevated the area where it is SO much. True jungle feels. I’m adoring all these new leaves you’re showing! :)
que my lunch break- this is the perfect length video to vibe to while I eat 💕💕 hope you're well, and the new hair looks great!! I wish I was home to fiddle with my plants, but alas, duty calls at work
hi fern after your last video i got myself a strep.i got the bubble gum and she is starting to bloom..they are amazing plants, then i found a streptocarpela at my local nursery..they are such pretty plants..then on mothers day i scored a dragon scale alocasia and omg i love her..now im up to 8 alocasia,s 💓
I got the same alocasia from Canadian tire and asked in an alocasia group since it was labeled green shield and someone said it was alocasia puncak borneensis
My hoya retusa and dischidia ovata are both getting ready to bloom. My chicken farm, which i got after seeing yours, pushed out a stunning leaf a good 7-8 inches long, its first leaf in my care! Spring is so fun with plants! Are you doing an outside garden again this year?
I don't have much growing for outdoor plants right now, but I plan on picking up a few more things soon :) And that is amazing to hear, Hoya chicken farm always amazes me with it's beautiful leaves!
Fern try wrapping the top of the soil of your gloriousum cutting with Saran Wrap. It should help the root system 💜 Your plants look amazing 🤩 Happy plant mama’s day queen 👑👑👑
I relate to the sad gloriusum. Mine seems to take a hit and take a while to recover when chopped, even when I put a pot to the side for them to establish roots it'll revolt for a leaf or two!
My gloriosum did the same thing. I had a STUNNING mature specimen that was outgrowing a 12 inch pot so I decided to chop. I had I believe 4 leaves and a few leafless nodes and I've lost everything but one node 😭😭😭 thankfully after a few months that one node is now popping a growth pt 🎉 but goodness lesson learned- I guess I'll just let that girl grow foreverrrrr next time 😅
Oh nooo :( I'm sad to hear these gloriosum stories. I guess it's not just mine. I'm super bummed she hasn't done well after the chop 💔 still holding out hope that she will bounce back soon
@wildfern fingers crossed for you, Fern 💚 You're so amazing at rehabbing plants (I'm looking at you, el choco red 😍, what a beauty she is after your love and care!!!) So I hope you're gloriosum perks back up for you! 🤞
Hey fern, I just managed to get a vitariifolium today and I’m really nervous about it because her leaves are all folding / curling 😢 do you have any tips? Also I think this plant (and many others 🤪) was added to my wish list after watching your apartment tour hehe
Hmm good question. I was just looking at it and even the really small leaves on mine have purple backs. So you should get them soon! It could also be influenced by conditions like lighting :) mine does not light too bright of light.
Does anyone know how to get my thanksgiving cactus propagation growing again? It gave me a few leaves and bloomed, but it hasn’t gave me any growth for almost a year now 😅 Fern’s has grown like crazy and I’m jealous 😂
I’m waiting for my mo dyers to give me it’s first fenestration. I’ve had it for about a year and mostly ignored it except to water it. It’s by my sliding glass door facing east. It’s put out a number of leaves and two arial roots. I’m patently waiting.
Your var. holiday cactus is growing so well. I have a basic one and does the new growth remind you of a tick…? Sorry if I ruin that for you (I hope I didn’t) 😇
I would just leave the blooms on the aglaonema and see what happens. My Siam Red was in bloom in a dark corner and pushed leaves constantly and pups and it was literally NEGLECTED.
I was given a Christmas cactus for Christmas from a client. Honestly, I haven’t paid much attention to it. I was given the news on Monday that he passed away and now I’m on a mission to make it the healthiest and happiest plant I own. Any suggestions?
Hi fern, I also buy plants from Planthaven Toronto and I am happy with them for the most part but the last two Hoyas I bought were in moss and after a week or so I planted them in soil, which is the usual chunky soil that I use and they are dying Do you have any suggestions when you repot from moss to soil especially Hoyas thanks so much.
Oh shoot :( I'm sorry to hear they're sad. I just transferred mine from moss to soil too, I don't really do anything special. Lots of light to promote the roots establishing into the soil. Superthrive can also help prevent transplant shock. You can find it at big box stores & most plant shops. I'd maybe try watering with that for the first couple of waterings!
@@wildfern Thanks so much Fern, I actually decided to take it out of soil and prop in water and see what happens. Will keep you posted. Thanks for all your great videos.
Umm what is the deal with aglaonemas though?! I've attempted to propagate 3 different varieties and all of them have been a failure! I'm talking like a dozen cuttings all failing! No clue why!
My aglaonema manilla’s pride is super annoying too. It has been trying to grow a new leaf for weeks, and it hasn’t unfurled yet 😅. Not sure what’s up, but I hear it’s a super slow grower. Most aglaonemas are chill and easy, not sure why this one is such a pain 😢

Since you have plants all over, is your humidity the same in all the rooms? Do you run humidifiers and what are your humidity levels? Thanks!
It is the same in all rooms basically, yes. I don't run humidifiers and it's between 45-60% depending on the season!
