i love how you talk about watering, a lot of people just say every 3 days and nobody talks about the conditions we grow our plants (indoor and outdoor) and thats the reason why we overwatering our plants. i have 3 of those plants and i love them a lot! hope they stay years with me
Hi Nick, I just started following you. I’m about 6 videos in and I want to thank you for the clear and concise format of your presentations. Love that you mention how long you’ve had the plant, what exposure and both theLatin and common name. Your speech is clear and friendly. A pleasure to listen to. Thank you and keep up the good work!
I LOVE plants!! and i just got back into buying indoor plants since 2009 when we decided to have 3 cats. To be honest, this plant hobby is so addictive i feel like i MUST have all!
Pushing the plant hair forward always reminds me of the stylist floofing the hair around the face after a haircut at the salon. You plant stylist you. :)
New subscriber here! Can I just say how much I appreciate the clarity and detail of your information presented? Just viewed a video on the same topic by another UA-camr and the info was all over the place, so frustrating! Really made me appreciate your high quality videos even more! Thank you!
WaterspoutsOfTheDeep I like them too! I have a green, silver & purple varieties in one hanging pot and it’s looking great. Oldie but definitely awesome and underrated plants!
I love the wondering jew too! I have 3 of them. One is purple, one has stripes on the leaves and one is plain leaves. But the leaves are all shaped exactly the same. And they grow super fast don't they?!
Great video, thanks! But you missed out the very best of all trailing houseplants: the SPIDER PLANT: It can be in full sun or in deep shade, thrives in any old soil, survives in hot and cold rooms and puts up with wet as well as dry conditions. It grows quickly but doesn't make a mess by dropping leaves. The elegant long leaves are striking and brighten up any room. The most beautiful variety is the one where the leaves are white on the outside and green in the center (white-green-white); this one grows more slowly and keeps a very proud shape for a long time. Best of all, the Spider Plant is super easy to propagate and gives even beginners a feeling of success. :) I think it deserves a video all by itself!
I adore my peperomia prostata (string of turtles). I got it last summer in a tiny 3 inch pot and it's now trying to take over my window. The leaves are tiny but so juicy, they look like little jelly candies.
Always enjoy all your videos. Not only are they informative but your delightful personality makes your videos all the more fun to watch. Thank you for sharing.
I must acquire that Manjura Pothos. I love that patterning of green and white on the leaves. I've never seen this beautiful variety before. I 100% agree that English Ivy is a sitting target for spider mites and other pests. I wish this were not so because there are so many beautiful cultivars.
I just love your tutorials on plant care. I discovered your channel a couple of months ago and began my plant mom journey a couple weeks later. Thank you so much!
Super good video! Thank you. I love trailing plants. If anyone is heartbroken from losing leaves on the top, don’t worry you can just snip the tips a little, water propogate those leaves, then add them into the top of the plant! Most if these guys like to be pot bound so the more the merrier! 💗
I enjoyed your show. I have a scindapsis like yours named Angel. I have had Angel 5 years. She got to be 6 feet long. I had to repot her. A 6 foot plant is not easy to repot. I pruned her. Last week she was 6 to 7 feet long. She got another haircut. I took 2 feet off. She is thick and full because the first clipped bunch got added back into the pot. It is a beautiful and happy plant.
Loving those sting of hearts and the ivy alternative. Satisfying to hear your perspective on English ivy not being easy to grow in the house. Everyone says how easy it is on UA-cam. Mine almost died in the house. Put it outside in the sun and it's been fine ever since. I live in FL.
Crazy how expensive they have become. I had two for the longest time, my first came from cuttings I carried home on a plane from texas in 1983….but I got into them seriously around 15 or 20 years ago and grew all mine from single cuttings i got for free from other collectors.
Wowwwww... talk about Jungle Home..I love it. Thank you for sharing. I have been looking for some training peperomia and so glad I found your video. Keep up the plant parent vibe. 💫🪴, your babies look so happy.
Hi Nick, This was an amazing video. My favorite was the peperomia HOPE. She was such a sweetie. This gave me a great foundation from which to add to my collection. Thanks and you do a great job.
Thank you for showing your Rhipsalis plants!! I have loved these for years and can't believe more people aren't enjoying them. Maybe soon people will "catch on" to them and they will become more popular.
My oldest plant is a philodendron Brasil and I love it so much. I rescued it from an office space and, since repotting it and giving it new fresh rich soil, it started growing so fast and it gives me new leaves every week, and the variegation is gorgeous. So easy and so rewarding 🥰
I am so glad that I remembered having seen this video because I just bought 2 Senecios (non varigata). Yet again I am better prepared to take care of a new purchase - thank you very much.
I'm just in love with my philodendron! They are so easy to maintain and so versatile too. I live in a small maisonette flat and the plant is currently growing up on one of the wooden pillars. They don't seem to damage the wood and are easy to remove.
I really expected cissus to make this list! I am in love with the beauty of my discolour, looking to branch out to an amazonica as well, and though it isn't the easiest house plant, it really has a beauty to it. I think if you're looking into rhipsalis now (I love my pilocarpa) I can expect you to start with some other jungle cacti as trailers soon too? Maybe some other succulents too, like a monkey tail cactus, lamb's tail, rat tail? Even the lowly string of pearls? There's a ton of trailers, worth mentioning, this should have been a top 20!
THAT'S what my philodendron is! I stole a piece of a beautiful philodendron I saw in the local mall (it wasn't for sale in a store or anything, it was in the middle of the hall), and I've been growing the cutting. He's a lemon lime, it turns out!
*Love the video the plants are gorgeous and your explanations are very relevant. ♡* _your passion is so nice to look at, barely see stars in ur eyes while u talk about it_

Love Hoya's!, love any and all trailing plants, they are just so cool. I have Brazil, Golden Pothos, Neon Pothos, Cebu Blue, Marble Queen, Scindapsus Pictus, and Jades and Jewels. I'm searching for the Manjula, String of Hearts, Philodendron Micans, and Peperomia Scandens, I would love that Rhipsalis, it does look like spaghetti and that's what I love about it, haven't found one yet. Thanks so much Nick, loved this video.
I love how you are so focused on your videos. 😎 When I film my planty videos I just cant stop making stupid jokes and keep my face straight... Just like in most of my life situations... 😅🌿
I have a rhipsalis that must be 10 years old now, probably older. It is growing next to my kitchen sink, it hangs down onto the counter in a North facing window so it doesn’t get any sun. I love me some trailing beauties!!! Thanks for this video, i'll be adding most to my wish list:) currently collecting varieties of pothos.. Have 4 or 5 so far. Next i think will be hoyas😍
*I love that you tell how long you had the plant for and the size it was when you adopted it. Nobody does that on here, and what window of sun it faces. Newbies find that very important!!!*
I think the reason nobody mentions windows is bc that info is not relevant outside of the US
@@leonardo9259 why wouldnt it be?
@@tp5805 maybe because Earth is flat and sun shines only in the USA -just joking. 😂😂
You had me at Hoya 😅

Unpopular opinion: I like weeds... they look cute, grow fast, and a lot of time have cute flowers 😂🥴🤗
agree!😂
i too like wild weeds
Some weeds can be grown in a pot, dried, cured and ingested!!!!
Yes! We have a little weed jungle at the bottom of our garden and I'm not in any hurry to get rid of them.
Same!!!
I love that you can tell us what a plant will look like when you over water/underwater/gets too much light/too less light/etc. So so important!

Omg, THANK YOU SO MUCH for specifically talking about North windows. Most of my windows are north facing so this was so incredibly helpful!
I feel you. All of my good large windows are north facing. my south windows have a huge porch overhang and are darker than my north windows.
