I have never made fried rice in my over 40 years of marriage. Asian was never my favorite. I had two bags of cauliflower rice with carrots and peas in the freezer as a backup when I didn't have fresh cauliflower.
I had everything I needed, including the sesame oil from a new recipe I tried 2 weeks ago, so I decided on a whelm to make it.
Absolutely delicious and a sure keeper.
Before I started, I melted 3 T. real butter and sprinkled in granulated garlic to set. Used that at the end. So I used a great deal less than you did, but it was amazing.
I got real bold and looked up a recipe for stir fried Veggies, onions, bell peppers, steamables frozen tiny asparagus, and pea pods. (Frozen is great as an emergency backup)
The combination of the Stir Fry and Cauliflower Fried Rice was delicious. So happy to have another choice with low carb.
For those complaining about the butter, and actually it really was a LOT, no one knows what your getting in the restaurants. That is oil in the squirt bottles you know.
Thank you for posting this. It is awesome.

I wanted to thank everyone for their comments! Good and bad. Like I’ve said, this isn’t for everyone. This should be used as a “guide” for anyone looking for something different! Add or take away what you’d like! I personally loved my modified garlic butter! I have tried other variations and come back to my original :). I do plan to make some more videos soon peeps! Thank you for all of your support!!!

Garlic butter: roast whole garlic until golden and soft. Put inside a small food processor with your choice of butter (or what ever you choose this has been the deal breaker for some lol). Add garlic powder, black or white pepper to taste and blend until your desired consistency. Place in a container and in the fridge over night. Use for up to a week! It’s amazing on so many things!

This is a great recipe, very healthy ! Pay no attention to the critics --- butter and olive oil are good MCT fats, the body doesn't store it as fat. Shrimps are amongst the highest protein per gram one can find, with 0 carbs, and taste great. Since the soy is low sodium, the total amount of salt for such a quantity of food is entirely within the safe limits, anyway one's body does need some salt every day. I'm going to be making this 👌

    • @SteveSmekar-ll6ln

Butter is an animal product... unfit for human consumption. Shrimp are bottom feeders and that little black string that you gobble right down is their crap. Soy is estrogenic, high GMO, and fairly useless for humans. Phew, there, glad I could clear that up for you.

    • @firstgan114
      @firstgan114 6 років тому +30

@Steve Smekar butter is nice, I just had some this morning. You “devein” the shrimp so you don’t eat the poop. Soy adds flavour. Happy to help and you’re welcome.

    • @ianrobson3713

First Gan You are very wrong and deciding what’s good for you based on your taste buds, indicates to me the depth of your ignorance, so you’ve a hell of a climb to educate yourself about nutrition. If youve decided that the “devining”of the shrimps poop tube makes it ok to eat them I hope you can spend time researching your preferences to see what scientific research backs up your opinion. There’s heaps of research showing Steve’s remarks are sound. Open your mind to the fact that you could be wrong and see where it leads you

So we have a "comment" section. I am typing in it. Comments may be defined as positive, negative or neither. Trying to censor someone because you do not like what they commented.is like complaining when someone walks through your open door. If the door was closed, that would be different. If the sign says "only this or only that" , then the outcome may be different, as well.

Art Ardere I agree with you but there’s more to take into consideration fat is not that bad for you unless your like me and have a gallbladder problem(I’m having a lot of trouble tiring to find food that I’m into right now due to that) It is a lot of salt. what she used in there in the beginning she added a lot of salt and the the low sodium soy sauce that meal is like 3 days worth of sodium. Is that bowl of rice is feeding 4 or 5 people no not to bad is it’s serving 2 not that good. And I personally think that was a lot of butter that was like a stick of butter and a 3 Rd of a cup of oil there. That’s just my opinion. That’s probably really good for keto people.

You mention using Smart Blend butter with your butter..
Well smart blend has good oils (olive oil) ..but it also has canola oil which is Not good for you..
(I see many good recipes but people modify with ingredients not good for you.)
..thanks for the recipe. .looks delicious.
I recently (glutein free)have to relearn cooking. I started fermenting veggies.. cauliflower real good ..love it.
I made cauliflower pizza last evening..was darn good stuff
    (chef buck.easiest recipe- i think..anyway)
Who knew so many healthful things we could make with veggies and good for us..right!
Thank for the video I'm going to make this week.

It sure takes a lot of courage to post a video to UA-cam, especially one involving cooking. EVERYONE's an expert. Though why expert cooks are watching cooking videos makes one wonder. You know, those who can, do and those you can't become critics.

I'm not a professional but I was taught by one, my grandmother. I also picked up some things when I was in the Army and in Korea. My wife and I like watching others because it's usually a learning situation. I think she's a better cook than I but there are some things she won't eat unless I fix it.

      Exactly!!
Why people don't realize that of course they can switch up the ingredients to suit themselves or decide "not for me" and move on. Geesh, if they don't like shrimp, fine don't add it. Need a diet lower in sodium, fine adjust recipe to your needs (insert eye roll here) why they feel the need to bombard with negativity is beyond me.

Although I disagree with you about the use of butter, this looks really really good and I never thought to cook the egg in the middle of the pan with the rice. I was using more pans than I needed to. Thanks for the tip!
