You are absolutely a gem for bring all of these spaces and Alberta to life. I just love you,Luke and his parents. I wish you would take the rug and make pillows from that also since it’s irreplaceable!
Haven’t commented. Random pensioner who isn’t able to support your work. So incredibly moved by you bringing the house into the future without disrespect to the past custodians, so much of the past was lot because of careless custodians. Would that I had your archives. Badly kept for sure but still in existence.
I find it incredibly inspiring to see an American preserving Britains Historical Record. I hope this comment helps the algorithm and brings as cents🙏 Thank you for all your hard hard Important Work🤗
@Mapperton Live: I think there are UV blocking films that can be placed on your windows that would help prevent any further deterioration from sun bleaching.
Finally, I discovered the secret behind your many great activities, as a day cannot have more than 24 hours. You have at least two twin sisters! One is living in Italy. One is travelling to wonderful historical places in GB, and you are making Mapperton great again! I wonder when we will be able to see the three of you together on a picture...
Dearest loved ones at Mapperton, especially the design and building/restoration teams. Ex-pat living in Tx: I think it incredible what you've done and are doing to restore such a PRECIOUS estate. I know too well building restrictions on Grade I and Grade II listed buildings in UK and incurred expenses. You are not just restoring a very special building, but keeping specialist craftsmen and understanding, going! Enormously thankful!❤❤❤
@Mapperton Live: You can still have book shelves below and to the right of the new found window or maybe move your desk over there. You may also want to consider placing some lights behind the window to simulate sunlight coming in.
What a treasure uou are Julie. Fit as a fiddle all the time and you are always enthusiastic to try all those machinery and getting your hands dirty is iust not a problem yo you. You're such an inspiration 💛 ✨ 💗
so happy Earl of Sandwich is back home again ! so great you found this paint , unbelievable but true ! this room you worked on so hard is going to live again
That is really incredible that Alberta saved everything. What a treasure you have here!! You are picking up that same torch and saving everything too. :)
Hugs for you @Julie❤ Your passion and love for almost everything that exist there is amazing. It is like you came back to second life to do unfinished business. You will be remembered and loved for all that you do now. Just imagine you are actually doing a lot of things at one time. Will be happy to see you launch your history book, book on restoration and renovation of period homes and lot more if u plan to author in the near future.
I'm so sorry I missed it live. I live in southern California and don't know the times. I found out about Mapperton 3 weeks ago and have been binge watching everything Julie does! ❤❤❤
The room is beautiful! So much work and so much reward when it was done. I still think that you, Julie, are the reincarnated Alberta. Love your channel.
Way to go Julie ! You never know what you find underneath the floor or behind a bookcase or under old plaster. The surprises that Mapperton Manor brings. Right ? I remember when my then husband and I bought our first home- it had a number of hidden issues that had to be addressed such as carpenter ants and found a small termite colony. It was all taken care of, now someone else owns the house and did some improvements with it.
My father's mother born 1899 was named Alberta Mae Martin-Firmin. You have devoted so much to this woman's legacy. She would be so delighted to know her personal effects are being cherished. I didn't realize you had 4 children. I just love your green eyes and you look so healthy. Pretty lady yourself. I have a box of my grandmother Alberta's recipes. Have you compiled a book of your Alberta's recipes to sell like in a gift store?
Hey from Evansville, IN! Julie, I don't know how much farther you have to go with archiving all the documents, but if you need another pair of eyes, I'd be happy to help. I've got plenty of time (too much actually) on my hands and a really good Mac book pro. As far as the roof to that room is concerned, I'd be doing the whole thing in that acrylic (of whatever that substance is). It's just a matter of time before there's another small hole, and then another.
An outstanding job, Julie! The result is so beautiful and sophisticated. But the way there was so hard. It reminds me of when I cook: the process is long, difficult and messy, with loads of peelings and packing materials being disposed of and cooking ingredients creating piles, and so on. And the result is 2 or 3 nice and tasty dishes in pots and pans on the stove and a couple of salads on the nicely set table.
Wonderful Julie! Such a lot of hard work but you did it! It would have been great to see your father-in-law’s face on his birthday checking out the new room ! 🎉
Fascinating renovation. Julie, I am having trouble understanding the name of the room. I am about halfway through the video. Can’t wait to see the finished room.

Hoi Juli, kun je die hoek boeken kast niet zo maken dat de helwand naast die groene boekenkast opvullen . het raam openen en daar je buro onder zetten . verder veel xcc6 met dir mooie project groeten klaas
Will you pls show the furniture that your mother-in-law gave you for the rentals that you are working on. I truly enjoy refinishing furniture and floors. Many thanks, DAISEY A.FISH A FELLOW BULLARD ❤😊
I don't understand. If Roberta sent the letters to other people how does she still have them. Did she make copies? Did people send them back? Did she ask for them back?
Julie, you worked very hard ❤️, but whatever place you renovate why do you always end up with black floor boards & especially green walls ? The latter isn't a warm colour.
Disagree that the rug is unrepairable. I had a roommate who repaired/refurbished Persian rugs and she fixed many like that. At the very least, find someone crafty who can make cushions out of it. I never realized back then we probably had $100,00s of Persian rugs in our apartment.
When we spread ourselves too thin, we become transparent eventually. You are sacrificing your best channel by continuing to repost old video. No thank you.

You worked so hard on this room and it was worth it! A beautiful space. Love all the auction finds too.

I just knew you would not cover the window back up. You definitely always put yourself directly into every project. ❤
You're a priceless gem in the family crown.

Possibly could cut the sides iff the carpet & use it for a table runner

Good idea 👍🏼💡
That Persian rug if cleaned could be cut up an turned into some lovely carpet bags. Extra special coming from the Manor.
Yes please give to some artisans or crafters, they would love it!!
Fun to see the room come together!
Your joy with living is contagious!! Love this entire project! Shows your grace and elegance!

Please mention the generosity of viewers who help fund everything needing upgrades and conservation, repairs. You are very fortunate.

Turned out so beautiful !!! Fantastic job !!!
I saw much of this as it was ongoing. Nice that you put it all together!! 😊
where does the step goes up to?
I believe to the chapel
@@beccalouw972 thank you
Yeah those spots in the ceiling looked like ongoing leaks. I'm glad you found it before you finished the room.
I would love to know by whom the curtains are cause they would look great in my library
How will you ask for your correspondence to be archived? Will you archive text/emajl communications as well as letters communicated via mail system?

Is your wiring modern?

Are you adding better lighting in that room. Looks pretty dark.
❤❤❤❤❤
😊❤
❤
Wait, I’m confused, I thought this room was already finished as was your dissertation.
It's all the progress videos put together so everything can be seen in one go if people missed it when it was filmed in stages.
Hi. Could you clearly mark your videos which are old ones you are reporting, please.
