Wheat based flour spikes blood sugar. If you want to make this even better and more Keto friendly, use Almond flour and baking soda over the self rising flour

After having great success on Keto for quite some time (the biggest part of my success being within the first 6 months but staying consistent on keto for almost 2 years total) I jumped off and back on the SAD due to insufficient time to prep keto specific meals/snacks and well, due to emotional eating after losing a loved one. I did that for about 6 months and of course regained about 20 lbs.. I have been trying to get back to my wellness for about 4 months now, going back to all my old keto and intermittent fasting ways that I had so much success with. however, nothing seems to be working. What was once so easy for me to do and stick with, now feels almost impossible. I am doing all the right things, tracking macros, fasting, intermittently and some extended fasts too.. However these have been the most miserable 4 months for me. Despite all the "work" I'm putting into it, I haven't lost more than 5 lbs, and i feel totally crappy.. not at all how I felt the 1st go round on keto.. Also, my cravings are for all non-keto foods.. not crappy stuff like donuts or candies, but I'm craving things like grapefruits, beets, non-keto veggies etc.. I do appreciate you sharing these alternative methods of weightloss and wellness with us @joeduff ... I think I'm ready to try something different. I have made so many of your keto recipies that always came out perfect, and now I'm looking forward to trying some of your non-keto recipies. Thanks again for all the deliciousness you share with us. Totally appreciate all you do and share with us!! :))💕
I made one of these for breakfast this morning and oh my lawd was it amazing. I paired it with some black coffee and it was the perfect breakfast. Thanks for sharing this amazing recipe. ♥️

Joe, I had to take a second and third look. I am 64 years old and I've lost 60 pounds using a number of disciplines and a lot of my own theories. From a size 16+ to a size 2. I feel reborn. Guess what used to be my weakness....cinnamon buns. Love your channel!
Never heard of making a single cinnamon roll to order. But hey, that’s dedication. Lol’. You could probably prep these and freeze them, take one out the night before and cook it. Toaster oven would give you a better texture and color too.
Yes! Finally maintenance keto recipes. I don't really see maintenance keto/anabolic a recipes. I don't like doing keto in the summertime because of watermelon, grapes, peaches those sugary yummy fruits. I guess I'm a seasonal ketoner person. But I don't want to get too extreme and gain what I lost. So this is perfect while it's summer. Then I'll get back on for the fall in winter. I just need something for my coffee in the morning. Joe, I’d be curious to know more about your current diet strategy. Obviously you’re incorporating some carbs with this recipe. Are you doing a cyclical keto approach or carb backloading, etc.? Thanks!
Sure. I'd say about 50% ish of my calories come from protein and then the rest are carbs/fats. I usually eat VERY LITTLE IF ANY added sugar..most sugar in my day comes from fruit (mostly berries) I eat around 500 calories less of my TEE (total daily energy expenditure) which is around 2600 calories ... so I usually eat about 2,100 calories tomaintain my current weight. Recipe for anyone who needs it in the comments:
For Cinnamon/Sugar Mix:
1 tbsp (12 g) 0 Cal Sweetener (I like Swerve too)
1 tsp (6 g) Ground Cinnamon
For the dough:
1/4 cup (30 g) Whey/Casein Protein Powder (I used the Quest brand and it works just as well)

Sprinkle of Ground Cinnamon
Heaping 1/4 cup (65 g) of Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt

Is it me, or does anyone else like the way he says "cinnamon roll"? Just me...? Ok. Carry on.
I watched one of your other videos. I was going to comment on that video to please put on a regular shirt or button down. But then I noticed it was from 2 years ago. So I wanted to see a recent video and now I see that you have on a shirt. Thank you for wearing a shirt. From a girl who doesn't want to see more than I want.
Love this recipes!

Could you use almond or coconut flour
He has probably a hundred other videos on here using almond flour; look for those.
Has anyone done this in a regular oven?? For those of us without microwave
Can you airfry it?
Looks delicious. Can you use almond flour?
Already did a keto version. It’s on my channel
Could I sub almond flour for the wheat flour? I'm Celiac. This looks delicious!
Where is this recipe printed?
Best Cinnamon roll ever! Yum! Tfs! 😉
Ty
Can you bake it?
What other kind of flour can you use? I don’t have self rising flour
Ya I was wondering that too eh
@@rickworth7571 You can make it yourself: 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 t baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt.
What are the macros of this recipe ?
He had me at MICROWAVE FOR ONE MINUTE 😍
Think we can freeze them? Figure it'd be easier to do them in batches.
If you do try to do that I HIGHLY recommend covering them in plastic wrap after they cool....or baking them instead. The micro just has a way of making them harden up after about 15-20 minutes of sitting.
Maybe wrap them individually and freeze raw, then thaw and nuke when you want to eat them?? I have celiac so I won't be able to try and give feedback...yall enjoy a cinnamon roll for me!
Looks amazing
Mixed together all the ingredients for the dough and it turned into sludge. Couldn’t even pick it up without it sticking all over my hands. What happened?
Joe....could we use an almond flour or coconut flour or would it taste yuckie? Just curious , im sure you have tried it already yea? That was the only thing I saw that would make it lower in carbs correct?
I already made a keto cinnamon roll recipe like this…i recommend baking that one you can find it on my channel
Feeera seu vídeo!
