@@Gerardempire organ stops (the sounds, like flutes, reeds etc) can be 8 foot based (same pitch as the piano, a-442 hz) then you have 16 foot stops (the pipes height Is measured in foot) which give the sound One octave lower, and that's what Richard did. I believe david gilmour said something along the lines of "anyone can recreate what we did, but they will never be the one who created it". He admits theres people just as good as him or even leagues better but none of them did what THEY did originally.

The most incredible band in rock history to me. Syd and where they came from, what they evolved into with David. If my rock world had a fleet...HMS Pink would be the flagship.
Okay , I actually did make a Pink Floyd song compilation for a friend's funeral, at the request of him (when he was still living) and the request of his sister afterwards; I put as many old obscure PF songs on a cassette (As these were his faves) as I could muster out of my CD compilation (this was in the 1990s) and the cassette was indeed played for about 45 mins, Give or take, at his calling hours.... 0.17, when Richard adds the 16' stop on the organ. That's symphonic paradise!

Rick had a good but short run…just wish he hadn’t given up on the band after WYWH
I think he has a thinner sound going on on the drawbars and then he turns on a preset that has a fuller sound.
