I can't wait to show my mom this video. She's from South Carolina and this is exactly how she makes her cornbread stuffing. The only addition is chicken liver which kicks the flavor up a notch. Thanks for sharing Rosie. You are BOMB!!!

looks really good! and much simpler than my granny's recipe. I follow hers and boil the turkey necks with onions and celery and other basic seasonings. She also seasons the cornbread mix before baking it with poultry seasoning, ground sage, ground thyme, and other seasons to taste, we use regular cornmeal, flour and also jiffy mix! by the time we're baking it alrdy smells like the dressing is done!! I am enjoying ur recipes and will be trying that sweet potato pie and those candied yams recipe!

Same for me also. My best friend lives miles away up north and she makes the best dressing that I've ever tasted. 2 years ago she had to guide me over the phone before she went to work to make her famous dressing. Now I must learn my own (copycat from someone else of course lol). But anyway I thank you for sharing. When I make it this Thursday I will pass it on to my daughter and my granddaughters

I love your use of the neck and the gizzards. Roasting them gives so much flavor, like it was cooked inside the bird. I plan on making a (spatchcocked) butterflied turkey. Since I will be cutting out the backbone, I can use that in place of the neckbone. Thanks for the video.

Wow, Rosie! This is a complete reversal of what I'm used to. I've always made a giblet gravy with the neck, gizzards, etc, and piled it on a fairly generic dressing. Suddenly all the giblets are *in* the dressing! Now... If I go ahead and make my giblet gravy too, it's a double whammy. This ought to be lethal! I see turkey day as being altogether different this year. I may forget the turkey and just have dressing and gravy. LOL
