puff pastry - 800 g (28.2 oz)
tomato sauce -100 g (3.5 oz)
bacon - 200 g (7 oz)
parmesan - 100 g (3.5 oz)
green onion - 100 g (3.5 oz)
salt - 5 g (0.18 oz)
black pepper 5 g (0.18 oz)
egg - 1 piece
Tray diameter 22 cm (8.66 in)

Fantastic idea. I'd broil some pepperoni partially (2/3rds), and fry some Italian sausage completely. Drain and blot the fat, then mince both fine, combine in equal amounts and sub for the second row of bacon. I'd also go 50/50 with the green onion and some green or red bell pepper, as well as 50/50 with the parm and low-moisture mozzarella. ALSO - some Italian seasoning sprinkled on the tomato sauce! Needless to say, this is party food, so I'd have enough on hand to make at least two batches this size. But this is getting bookmarked to try, for sure. Thanks!

Its a wonderful recipe, very dynamic, there are heaps of fillings one can come up with making it rather flexible
Brilliant..I never thought of that..that looks really good..and the possibilities are endless..you can a breakfast type with bacon, veggies like an omelette...ham and cheese..taco.. cheeseburger.. phillies..maybe a dessert like spread cream cheese on it and top with canned cherries or strawberries or apple pie filling..it might be difficult yo roll it up,but, I bet it would work..

I agree. Canadian Bacon has enough salt in it already. However some Euro bacon (Speck) is not as salty and maybe that's why the salt was added here. Not all bacons are created equally. The cook in this video is German, ( I think)

Love the idea. I would probably cook the bacon until almost done so the rolls would not get too greasy. I would also roast or sauté the garlic. Greetings from Birmingham, Alabama.

Even with the garlic dipping sauce, cooking it will make a more subtle taste. Awesome recipe and the final dish looks super delicious and gorgeous, but only one of those rolls would put me in the hospital 😳🤐😁😂😋

Yup. Also the bacon will not cook in time for when when the pastry is ready. This is a look good for video false recipe. Cooked pepperoni or ham would be great.

Great idea, versatile. Could use just about any filling - vegetables, onion, salami, olives, anchovies for example.
Some ham or turkey ham would be great.
As a grandma of several little ones now this is a great idea that I could make with them. I have campouts in my back yard since the parents don't camp and hot dogs over the fire pit get scary with the smallest ones but this will be amazing food and fun with them because they can customize their own flavors and toppings or I guess fillings in this yummy case! Thanks so much from the Arizona Grandma!

I was thinking of maybe a very thin slices of prosciutto or Canadian bacon. I have made similar roles with ham, chopped broccoli, grated cheddar, chopped parsley, and spices and rolled it up in a croissant roll that I flattened into one large square. It is delicious if anyone wants the recipe. Using the puff pastry is an excellent way to lower the fat content!

I tried this yesterday for kids the puff pastry became very soggy n cld not roll properly n when baking the oil was dripping from the bacon n puff pastry did not bake properly it was very disappointing

The first thing she put in looked like possibly a tablespoon of vinegar but she put quite a bit of olive oil in there. U can do it without the vinegar and just do the olive oil and maybe a tablespoon of butter instead of vinegar if u dont like that. I've seen it with just the olive oil and garlic and salt of course

I made these 40 years ago but used pepperoni and crescent rolls dough. My kids loved them.
For me, I would like to have like my Grandma made it 35 years ago with pepperoni, mozzarella and Parmigiano. I think green olives and banana peppers would be yummy too. 😋

We just started cooking our bacon on a cookie sheet and love it. It does not curl like it does in the frying pan. Its our new way! If the bacon was thin I am sure this would cook fine.
Cooking bacon in the air fryer is the easiest and the bacon does not curl

@@rosevalerio5863 Prosciutto would really not be suitable here. Prosciutto is an air dried bacon. You should be able to find smoked "Canadian Bacon" somewhere in your country. German thin sliced Speck would work, but it too would need a little salt. Any North American Bacon is the ideal product here. Experiment a little.
Ask the butcher or go with prosciutto

I'd do this with ham or salami, COOKED lunch meat. Bacon isn't cooked, will be soft when eaten. Americans like bacon cooked in pan or oven till crispy or almost crispy BEFORE we put it in recipes.

Not the way to cook bacon, it needs to be cooked perfectly on its own and then added, but that's me! That dough would be loaded with grease and that would not make for a good snack later.

I agree. too much bacon. I’m going to do this, but with more traditional toppings. I’ve done pizza with cut up dough and mixed up fixings and cooked in a bundt pan, that was really good. 👍👍👍🦋🦋

I've just guesstimated tsp salt, 4tbls lemon juice and same of olive oil, and defo cook the bacon before adding. Great versatile recipe thank you💛
Garlic peels easier if you crush them first. You should leave an inch or 2 without ingredients that will be your outer end because the ingredients naturally shift as you roll

Assar a cabeça de alho inteira Preaqueça o forno a 200 graus Celsius Com um faca de serra, corte cerca de 1/3 da cabeça de alho, expondo seu interior. Coloque a cabeça dentro de um pedaço grande de papel alumínio e regue com uma colher de sopa de azeite de oliva; embrulhe bem Leve ao forno por cerca de 50 minutos. Se quiser um pouco mais dourado, deixe por 10 minutos a mais. Eu aproveito assa-los junto c/ outro assado para economizar. Espero ter ajudado!

Такой соус в Испании называется алиоли (чеснок, лимон и оливковое масло) чеснока положите меньше- это на любителя. Но, попробуйте, это очень пикантный и вкусный соус. Его хорошо ещё есть с рыбой. Вам может понравиться) 😉
От такого количества чеснока в рот, за одного прикуса, вам плохо не было? Чеснок же , снимает давление, за минуту? А , внутри? И , кетчуп, соленый, и бекон- соленый, и пармезан? А, вы еще, посолили? Еда же, пересоленная… и, потом, название, поменяйте… может, мини рулеты? Странная еда…
