Or a parent. - Never light up a room (thx Jane Doe, that IS important knowledge!) *What seems to be okay:* - Heroin - Bear wrestling - Cartels - Alone at night in Compton - Alone at night in the woods (no bicycling!)
Honestly this one was tough. The fact that police knew how much of a problem he was but just were too fed up to care is sickening. This man deserves endless lifetimes of the same pain he caused his victims and their families.
Often it's not that they don't care, it's that the due process has to worked around & they're being very careful to make sure it's done correctly bc they want charges to stick. It's unfortunate, but it happens. I know a trooper who hated that part of law enforcement, but those laws & procedures have to be there to protect civil rights, innocent people from being a victim of prejudice, protect citizens from the new cop who really wants to have charged prosecuted. The thing is, if guys like this end up missing, or found dead, typically the cops aren't going to invest much time in solving the case.
@@chloecamp8714 although I agree w a lot of what you’re saying and I understand that aspect of police work and maybe “care” wasn’t the right word. However to not even respond to a 911 call of someone screaming in the house nor following up on multiple women running away from the property naked and screaming, leads me to believe that there was a bit of incompetence on the departments fault and however they aren’t completely at fault
Remember Mike's last video where everyone was sympathetic with the criminal, but this person who had an even worse childhood with sexual abuse etc., and everyone's saying he's a scumbag again. You guys make no sense.
If they really didn't give a shite they would not have risked their jobs to give him a damn good kicking. Would like that part to be true. Mike probably glossed over a myriad of reasons the police hated his guts by that point; getting away with it last time, making us look like idiots, the stuff we think you did and cant prove, for all the complaints we keep getting off your neighbours, the paperwork everytime we come out here and cant get a warrant etc....
The mishandling of the case by the cops is dead average. I once called the cops when I came home to find the windows broken, and all the drawers pulled out. The cop asked me was I sure there had been a break in? Then he looked around and left. The next time I had a problem in the neighborhood I called the neighbors. Much more effective.
Also the fact that Joanie’s grandparents were refused custody because they were unemployed, but then the government takes these children away and PAYS SOMEONE ELSE to look after them is absolutely wild to me. We live in a fcked up world and there is absolutely no redemption, no matter how much good is done. This just proof of it.
I absolutely agree. Like, why wouldn't you pay and help all of these people (unless there were other legitimate reasons) so they could comfortably get back on their feet /and/ help the kids instead of punishing them for not having a job and all the rest of the bullshit that followed?
The police in that city need to be investigated and prosecuted. This man should have NEVER felt comfortable and confident letting women who could identify him and his home go after weeks, because he knew the cops wouldn't do anything.
I totally agree with you on the police dept. being investigated. There was way too much stuff that slid under the radar. Almost to the point where a department was paid to look the other way!!! Maybe??? Just saying...
Something else I noticed is that the "investigation" of his property was apparently so worthless that they didn't even confirm any of the details of his claims, or find any DNA evidence of his numerous victims. They flattened the house after a quick cursory look. I think i know why. With years of records showing they allowed this man to torture and murder multiple women and girls it's more convenient for those cops to just bulldoze the house and make it all go away.
Hell yeah... So f*cked up and (as far as Im concerned) not surprising in the least. I can't explain the reason behind most of the nations laws and judicial system are so laxed towards pedos, rapists, groomers etc... But even in just this YT channel alone, he gives so many instances of rapists only receiving probation or 3 to 4 years at most. Shit is sick.
Don't get it twisted. The cops have no legal obligation to protect you. This has gone to the Supreme Court 3 times, and each time the courts have decided that cops have no legal obligation to protect you, even if you were to be getting attacked right in front of them(like the Joe Lozito/Max Gelman/NYC case). This is why the 2nd amendment is important. Because if the government has no obligation to protect you, then it is 100% up to you to protect yourself. So you should have every tool available to do so.
Remember Mike's last video where everyone was sympathetic with the criminal, but this person who had an even worse childhood with sexual abuse etc., and everyone's saying he's a scumbag again. You guys make no sense.

I hope the victims sue the police for doing nothing. The apathy of the department allowed this monster to continue to operate. He should NEVER see the light of day outside any prison.
@mixampo did you not watch this video lol? Crystal clear case, many parties were at fault here including the neighbours, but the police never investigated the claims of people screaming and blood everywhere, or inquire about his threats to his neighbours. Even after he got raided and was in custody they didn't dig into anything else he was doing. There's cases on this channel where police do more with less info and still get convictions. Police didn't care here, not saying it's malicious, but they didn't. One could say the police in Jacksonville are overworked due to the city being one of the gang Capitals in the US.
Defund the police. Why can't these police do their jobs and show some initiative? Lol.. the police have totally screwed themselves. The Left already hated them but now, instead of having integrity and refusing to enforce ridiculous, unconstitutional orders from governors/mayors about COVID they decided to go along with it and arrest people like the mom taking their kids to the park. The Right was the only support they had and now they don't have that either. Good luck!
Ppl like that, who don't want to do the time...I say, let 'em rot. Can't help but hope they get a rough time in there. Like beating the teeth out of women? Maybe you can get the same in prison. No quick death/no mercy.
I was going to say the same thing actually. If someone has done something this horrendous and they ask for the death penalty as like an escape from a life in prison they definitely deserve life to suffer. And the same goes for people that try to avoid the death penalty. Point is you don’t get what you want. The victims certainly didn’t.
@@twinklybubblybits sometimes though, you have to read between the lines- I don't want to rot in prison, give me the death penalty actually means- if they know what I've done, I'll get the death penalty so I'll say I want it and won't get it. My abuser only received HOUSE ARREST and went on to get a few DUI’s while serving house arrest sentence. Had the laws/law enforcement been better, a lot of these victims would have been spared.

The cops here in Florida are much more concerned with petty drug crimes that make money for the system than with actually protecting or serving. It's a business and they're not going to get involved if it might be something that will help someone. Only if they can get a person in the system and extract fines from them. It's horrific.

I really hate it when there is a "danger to society" and the local police department get apathetic to all the calls they get to that persons address. I don't really care if the victim is a sex worker...they're still victims that need justice and protection. I really hate this man for wanting a quick out of his punishment. His victims didn't get that.
Why is a sex worker a bad thing? Is it hurting you? Wow, the oldest profession in the world, much harder than anything than you'll ever do. I hate when people are so ignorant and judgemental.
@@Kimberly031081 I agree. That is why I said I don't care what their profession is, they should be treated like any other citizen in town. The police should give them the same protection and justice.

@@proanimaluver6487 That's terrible. The things people think is okay to do to others is unbelievable. Why do they do it? Is their life so shitty that they have to shit on others? Usually, yes! How are you doing now? Most of the time when people aren't caught for a crime, it's usually due to the police not following through and doing everything that they can. Which is why it takes several incidents to several victims before the police get a clue. I realize sometimes the criminals don't leave enough evidence or get lucky with the lack of evidence. Aging out of foster care leaves young people vulnerable. Many end up homeless and turn to crime or sex work.
Yeah true. I was one of the lucky ones. Only a small amount of time homeless but no sex work.
Yep ... poor kids, they must feel so alone in a big scary world... the system is rotten to the core.

Why is an 'attempted attack on a law officer' a 'much bigger' charge than abduction and rape (which were more than 'attempted')?
Cops protect themselves. The corruption in pretty much every single police district in America is horrific.
Valid question actually. Cops are no saints at few occasions . They protect themselves in unity and sometimes so arrogant with a common even during the driving 🚗 checks .
Because the cop sticks around to testify. I’m guessing we are missing quite a bit of story on this one. It’s not unusual to get non cooperative witnesses which means the police cannot charge since there’s not a victim.

I think the scariest thing is that he doesn't seem like an idiot. In fact, he seems quite smart. He knew exactly the requirements for the death penalty and how to help out the informant. He was smart, paranoid, and ultimately a violent sociopath. That's a terrifying combination.

When I lived in Florida I saw billboards seeking candidates for the police department, all that was required was to be 18 and have a GED or high school diploma. I never understood this. I was caught with less than a gram of marijuana one time. It’s not legal here (Kentucky) so of course I was arrested. I had absolutely no record. Not even a speeding ticket! Ok, only 10 mins in, and already I'm calling Florida WAY ahead of Canada on the WTF scoreboard!
P.S. wtf is wrong with the Florida Police? Getting the sense that they work by the motto... Yeah, we'll check it out if it's not too much trouble, eventually.
Colorado in the running🤔?
I live north of Tampa and it is that bad. Had a drug house across the street and one night I sat on my front porch in the dark and heard two deputies tell the drug man “we will do everything to make sure you are okay, Turtle.” I reported it and nothing happened. Yeah. Pasco County Florida and we have a bit of nonsense for our elected sheriff who wants bigger things.
The cops here in Florida are much more concerned with petty drug crimes that make money for the system than with actually protecting or serving. It's a business and they're not going to get involved if it might be something that will help someone. Only if they can get a person in the system and extract fines from them. It's horrific.
thats why everyone carries a gun
Are you white and doing bad things to the marginalized? American police don't *give a shit*
Interviewer: "How you feel about a body being found at your property?"
R: "Neutral."
In court
R bawling his eyes out telling of this "horrible event of his brother bringing a body of a girl into his property."
Dude, keep your lies together.
So grandparents wanted the custody but was refused and sent to foster home ?
Well great job ruining so many life's with these decisions
My thoughts exactly!
Family takes priority in foster care placement. I doubt they we’re rejected because they were unemployed.
When he was answering the reporter's questions and the attorney's on the stand, he blinks/closes his eyes every time he lies.
