Have this monitor for a few months now. Its great. One thing I dont like is if you are using it in a room with a TV (I have a Samsung TV near my monitor) it will pick up all IR remote control devices within 20 feet and theres no way to go around this unless you physically block the IR receiver on the monitor (I used a piece of aluminum foil cover) so be aware of that if you are putting it in a living room. Otherwise its amazing. Love the OLED.
Honestly I'm sure it looks good, but for the price it not being 2160 vertical is a deal breaker for me. Hoping next generation of these they finally go with a QD-OLED panel, 240hz, DP 2.1, and the full 2160 res as well.
You joke (maybe), but you'd be surprised just how exemplary these monitors are for day-to-day tasks. I'm a writer by trade, so I can have three windows open at once and not have to Alt-Tab back and forth. When I'm done, I'll boot up Photoshop and have all that space to arrange my toolsets, load After Effects and Premiere side-by-side, Ableton, whatever. I have never used a monitor that is so absolutely brilliant for everyday tasks.

Just picked this up and I have 1 major complaint. When I use the monitor for netflix or any streaming service it switches from my PC speakers to the speaker in the screen and I can't figure out how to stop that
Tried this monitor, but honestly when gaming the fishbowl effect made me nauseous and killed the immersion. Returned it went with the G8 34” OLED instead.
You can't seem to side by side the UA-cam app (or netflix for example) with a PC or laptop input... :( weird limitation to put on it, seems purposefully done!
That is one silly thing to not include on a brand new top of the line - 'more expensive than a 65" OLED TV' - monitor, you're right. Same as with the other G9's. You can do 5120x1440 at 240Hz with DSC though, yeah. But, wouldn't it be nice if you didn't have to compress it purely for the sake of compressing it.

That's really a letdown that you can't stream content and have your computer up side-by-side. I'd imagine a lot of people would want that for watching Netflix while doing work on the other half, for example
if you hook up you PC and a gaming system you can, I do all the time, Multiview with PC on left and PS5 on right, otherwise i just have my PC on the whole screen,

I was looking at so many different screens and this one was the best choice. It’s more but it’s great. I play Battlefield 2042 and it’s an amazing view. If your video card is not up to it don’t bother. However if you have a gaming rig this is the one. I have no issues on web browsers reading text either. People complained about that. I saw zero issues. It’s beautiful. Even the speakers are fine. The backlighting is cool too it must be activated in the games menu. Overall great item.
I have the pny 4080 Rtx ,64 gb of ddr5 ram I9 13 series processor however any recent gaming card would work fine. I’m glad I made the choice on this screen. No issues.
The only feature this thing needs to be an instant buy is dual screen mode where each half is driven by a different input. Unfortunately, it's not clear that this is an option.
Had this for about 5 months now and its been flawless... Gaming on Bf2042 is beautiful Utube vids looks great and even text is just fine.... So far nothing can compete..... except the bigger one that came afterwards but it wouldnt fit on my desk ...
What you have forgotten in the productivity side is when you split the screen into two separate monitors using both inputs if both are able to keep Gsync ON and the refresh rate I have the neo previous generation and that never worked I wonder if this iteration now improve that.

Can't get high resolution with the MacBook M3 Pro to save my life.. but I get the 5K resolution as soon as I plug the MacBook into another 49" monitor without any issue. I might have to return this thing.
I bought this Samsung G9 from Amazon. After 2.5 years of ownership and not using the monitor heavily, the monitor started to give a blank screen. I called Samsung, and they told me I should have bought the extended warranty and they can't help me. This is a manufacturing issue and is an EXTREMELY COMMON ISSUE. I wouldn't have purchased this knowing Samsung doesn't stand by their very expensive monitor. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN!!!
I'm thinking of something that can be used as a tv and a monitor, so 42" might be the right size. It should be mounted on something that can be moved up at when it's used as a TV and moved down to the desk height when being used as a monitor. Is there anything like that?
The monitor this one replaced was the AORUS FV43U mounted on the wall. I still think 43" is the sweet spot for a tv/monitor display. I do love this one though.

In the manual it shows that you can connect 2 computers by using a y splitter usb cable. Have you tried that? Which cable do u need to set the max resolution at 5120x1440 the display port cable that comes with the monitor or a hdmi cable i heard the hdmi can do the 3840x2160 resolution if use a hdmi cable but im planning on gettin this in november and i just want to make sure i have it set at the max resolution.
Displayport 1.4 cable, with a graphics card supporting DSC (Display Stream Compression), which would be the AMD 5000-series or above (not sure if lower supports it), or Nvidia 2000-series or above. Not looked into the HDMI specs yet.

that will not be it at all.... In Australia, you can only get this one from Samsung itself. No resellers. They are selling a different version with very similar names.

The lack of DP 2.1 vs the last gen 1.4 being on this monitor is what really holds me back, other than that, Shes beautiful
dont quite need DP2.1 for a monitor with a resolution that is less than any 4k monitor.
DP 1.4 works fine even with 240Hz via DSC (Display Stream Compression)
Don't need DP 2.1 unless you're running a 4k super ultrawide or QHD super ultrawide beyond 240Hz

It has built in speakers, tho I will say PS5 doesn’t support ultra wide but you can still use it

@@shahsnak it is just a dumb hub. It doesn't do any smart switching.
This monitor is only 108ppi... My current 28 inch 4k monitor has 158ppi and i'm afraid that the image on G9 will look horrible in comparison.

I just bought the LG 45GR95QE-B 45" OLED because these are too wide for my taste but it looks like a nice screen specifically for games.

Resolution has to do with pixel count not height.

just missing 1 big feauture. i want to use this 1 screen as 2 screens. or maybe even 3 if it fits in thhe aspect ratio.

@@DjangoGroen i know it can do MultiView with a PC n PS5, but im not sure about 3, technically that would then be PBP and from what i can find this one doesnt support that even though it says it does, i cant figure out how to set it up, cuz i want to put my PS5 in the middle of screen at 16:9 then the other half the screen split on either side for streaming/ recording on one side and the other i have my chat windows open,

that will not be it at all.... In Australia, you can only get this one from Samsung itself. No resellers. They are selling a different version with very similar names.
