  • @Doomfreak90

So, I built my Beardie a wooden terrarium from scratch. I took Styrofoam, covered that with excavator clay. Then made platforms, columns, caves, and walls with it.... With that being said, I’m gonna get to the point now. You mentioned dragons like to sleep upright? My freaking Dragon climbs vertically on the clay wall and falls asleep like that!!! Literally straight up and down, tail toward the floor and head towards the ceiling!!!!
Also, I found her third eye, which is pretty trippy. Now I know why she always ducks her head down and closes her eyes when I pet her.

I got sad when you talked about the eye bulging because I am young (12) and nobody really took care of the dragons in my house and I never really noticed it. when I was 7 or 8 I found a dead dragon with eyes sunk back then just a couple days ago I found another dragon bloated, eyes bulging and eyes also sunk back it was when this happened that I’m starting to step up and take care of our remaining dragon by feeding him and playing with him etc.

Also I've been trying to find out what the little thing on her head was, thanks for clarifying! Now I can answer questions about it! ^^ Your beardie is so cute too! Even if it was stuck shed, you should never pull it off. It can hurt them and damage their scales permanently

I work in a pet store and to be honest with you if you find someone that's in pet care they will know what they are talking about. But if you happen to walk in when no one in pet care is on duty you might get some confusion and hesitation. People who are early in their pet care career know far less than someone who has been there for a while. I know when I first started people would ask questions and I would panic. We work in a pet store but not everyone is trained for the small animals, reptiles, birds, and fish. Those questions are left to the people in pet care for the most part but even not working in that department you pick up on a few facts about every animal. Most of the others who don't work with the animals we sell every day know a lot about dog and cat products just not the more specialty animals.

Does it hurt when a full grown bearded dragon bites ? I Rescued this young male dragon , and he wasn't handled at all , and so he is a little aggressive. Just wanting to know because I have been slowly trying to handle him , but I'm letting him take his time as well.

You may want to check your info about the water. Bearded dragons absorb water through their skin, especially those in the wild. It is rare that they learn to drink water and those that do are taught to do so by their owners.
