Good topic! Enrichment is so important for their development and well being. None of our dragons went for the laser pointer we got for Christmas. We have perches set up in separate windows in separate rooms for our lady dragons... including heat and UV. They love it!
Ok. Baby dancing fruit I've never heard of... I'm guessing UA-cam? Legend of Zelda is totally my jam! Love the last two especially! The gameplay is awesome. Older zelda you HAD to complete certain things in a certain order to go forward. Love the flexibility and open world. Also, since you're a Nintendo fan, have you played Metroid Dread? It's so good!
They all have their own personalities. My friends bearded dragon will follow her. My first beardy mostly basked. My dude once ran onto me and did one head bob at my husband as if to say, "she's mine!" So maybe they would play back, I don't know to what extent, and it would probably depend on the dragon.
The brown hide i got from petco or petsmart. I think you can find it online and comes in two sizes. If you mean the red and black hide, that's a custom hide.
I wouldn't say to completely isolate your bearded dragon from pets but if you still have other pets around them make sure they are heavily supervised. My family had cats and a bearded dragon at the same time, and even when the dragon was new to the cats they all knew to be really gentle with her, so they mostly ignored her with some expressing a quiet fascination, I think because she smelled unique. I was also surprised that the beardie showed no signs of stress (she didn't black beard, gape her mouth or even puff up her beard). The cats and bearded dragon could sunbathe close by and ignore each other and it never caused us issues as we supervised. However don't encourage any pets to touch the bearded dragon. Even if you're confident that they're safe and won't try to maim the beardie, they could still accidentally hurt the beardie or come close to it (we never had this happen thankfully but I highly discouraged cats from touching the beardie even though they never tried to attack because cat claws can accidentally snag on things, even if they're trimmed often. The cats never tried to bite or lick her). It's still safer if you can at least give each pet a separate space in the house but a lot of people will have freeroaming animals and try to at least let those animals get used to the idea of having a more delicate pet in the house, so I'm just putting what my family experienced out there to let everyone know why it's a better idea for the beardie to have their own space even though we have never ran into issues (I was actually against the idea for the beardie to be around the cats but my mom insisted that if the cats weren't used to her it wouldn't be safe for her to be in the house at all... I'm just glad it worked out for the most part, but the cats being gentle or neutral about it surprised me. Don't make that bet with your own cats but if you have to introduce an animal into a freeroaming space, don't force or encourage an interaction and make sure you can remove the non-freeroaming animal quickly as needed, even if it means keeping them on your shoulder or lap. I've had animals, especially cats, hurt me without meaning to and they can do that to other animals).
@DaveBayliss-v6d - if you mean outside in the sun, it would need to be at least 80F and sport periods of time, so they don't end up getting heat stroke. Also. If it's really humid, you may want to either do another day or make the time super short, like a couple mins. I have a vid on outside info for beardies, just FYI. I hope this helps.
@@Midwest_Lizard_Mom hey thanks for the reply I had him out yesterday for around 20 minutes it was around 68 f 20 degrees c it was about 77% humidity he spent a good hour after in the house and having a bath
You can do that. I tried them and it didn't work well for me. EDIT: the bug balls may cause more stress than enrichment. If the bugs end up staying in them the beardy may get frustrated.
My beardie loves looking out side. He’ll look climb up my heater from my towel (don’t worry I have something cushy for him he decides to jump off but he can normally can climb down and is always monitored) and look outside.
@ totally subscribed I have so many questions. This is day for he was mad at me. But I made it up to him with a new light and a few buggies. He’s color changed and i wanted him to relax his spikes. We start bonding in a few days.
You'll get there! I got to hear how it's going! They have different personalities. My dude took a bit to get him used to be, but I went slow, since i knew he was skittish. Now I'm the only one he let's hold him. I'm so excited for you and your journey with your new buddy!
Hi Paul here I live in an apartment and indiviscated my place if t o find any hides;; under cupboards unclosable doors and places.. i want my cutie, cutie with me!!!

Hey how long can bearded dragon stay out the vivarium for on a nice warm day

What about beardy balls (plastic balls u put crickets or roaches in).
You can do that. I tried them and it didn't work well for me.

Helpful I’m new to
Congrats on being a beardy owner. I have a lot of videos on care and such. They're amazing reptiles!

My beardie likes watching me play vr
Wait? What? I'm guessing they're amused by what you're doing, but they can't see what you're seeing. That's pretty great though.
@@Midwest_Lizard_Mom Everytime I play my vr she will look and walk up to the window and just stare me down
Omg, that's adorable! They love to watch humans!
Thanks
Glad you found it helpful!
Laser pointers and flash photographs ,,, OUCH!!!
Definitely don't point the laser in their eye. Nope! I never use a flash, but that's a good point! Thanks for mentioning that!
