To be so open and transparent about marriage, faith, brokenness, etc…incredible if it was just the four of you chatting. But, to share it with others in this way…so courageous and so powerful. I am certain that this conversation has inspired many men to lean in to what it means to be a man (submit to Christ our Savior)…it certainly has inspired me. Thank you.

I didn't watch this, but I did listen to the audio version last night at work. Thank God I work alone because the second it sounded like Mark broke I know I did. Definitely described my life from a crappy childhood, the demons that pop up in some marriages, to the pregnancy test, to a wife that is still here and 16yrs of marriage stronger. Those demons are hard and really never go away. Can't change the past, but the fight to keep those demons locked up are real. Remembering the past can make the future stronger sometimes. Thank you for sharing this and making me cry like a baby. Made me smile when i got home last night and saw my wife asleep in bed. Now back to getting ready for elk and deer season! Stay strong brother!

Demons can take hold of your life if you become weak...... I was weak, and as I said it all comes down to being a real man, I was not! It was not the shining point of my life for sure.

All I can say is WOW. This podcast is AMAZING. Thanks for everyone on it. I can imagine that some of that stuff is very difficult to share, but is so impactful! When my wife and I got married, we also said that divorce wasn't an option, 21 years later, through good and bad, we are still happily married. Working on it daily. God does do wonderful things. So many things you guys said, I can relate to. I look back and can see the hand of God in so many places. Thanks for all you do!

Wow! I can't believe that I watched a podcast! What's more is that my wife sat down and watched it too. (We wanted to see the facial expressions and body language) The world needs to hear more stories like this. I love hunting, but I love Jesus more and because of that I love my wife and family more and better. He saves lives. He saves marriages. He did it for us and He did it for Mark and Amy. Great show. Keep them coming.

@@TreelineAcademy my battle has been and will always be with God. Here’s my story my parents where in a physically abused I’ve relationship. They decided to give me up to my grandparents at the age of 7 years old. They also decided to keep my brother and raise him mean while my grandfather became my father figure he passed away 2 years after moving in . At the same time of his passing someone else started sexually abusing me. That’s Demon number one. This is where the trouble begins by age ten burned someone’s house down you name it I’ve done it twice over. In the meantime mom gets married 4 times father gone. In 2010 met my wife the only positive thing to ever happen in my life. So that’s where our story differs I would never think about cheating on her. She the only light in a lifetime of darkness. Fast forward to 2022 my grandma only person besides my wife that has ever cared gets pushed over at the food bank and breaks her hip ends up dying from surgery. Here my second Demon both of these people walk around without a care in the world. It takes everything I have not to hurt them. My third Demon and the biggest one is that I lack compassion for everything and life in general. Hard to care when you lived so long without a soul. So when people say it’s Gods will. If my life was a part of gods plan I don’t want any part of it. I have held this secret for 30 years besides my wife knowing. I just don’t know how people find god as there savior.

Sometimes taking a moment to share your testimony transcends and becomes larger than the original purpose. So it is with the impact of this podcast. While we all are passionate about hunting and spending time with God enjoying His creation , probably most men will admit they struggle at home at some level, especially when we add stress and spend time in the woods away from our wives. If we could fix the stresses at home, it would make the time hunting even sweeter. I appreciate the honesty, transparency, and vulnerability. In the largest sense, you really "manned up" in offering yourselves and your stories. It truly ministered to me, as I am sure it will to anyone who listens to it. You are dropping unapologetic Truth bombs and creating ripples that will radiate outward forever, perhaps changing many lives and potentially affecting generations. What an amazing opportunity to be used by God, and you risked everything and seized it! A couple great resources to help men and marriages: "When Sinners Say I Do" by Dave Harvey, and "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge. Blessings to you guys, thank you for being brave with your faith, keep up the world-class content, and see you on the trail!

@@TreelineAcademy For what its worth, your story is one of the best stories of redemption that I've heard in a long time. Way to stick with it, and dang, what a good wife you have. Don't let her go.

Wow. I'm blown away by this episode. What an amazing testimony. Long post but please read if you can.. First, I love your channel, and I truly believe it's the best content. Every adventure is a story, not just a typical hunt. You draw your viewers in, and I feel like I'm there. My wife and I have had a very similar marriage to both of yall. I was raised in church and started working at my dad's wild game processing/butcher shop at a young age. I met my wife in high school. We started dating my sophomore year, her freshman year. We dated all through high-school for 6 years then married. We struggled after the honeymoon wore off, probably 2 years in. Found a church and became closer to one another. We tried for children for 6 years. After 5 miscarriages, we found out she had some complications that pretty much gave her a 0% chance of conceiving. We said we would travel then adopt after a few years. 3 years later, she became pregnant and by God's grace, we had a healthy boy. Shortly after his 3rd bday, my wife, at 31 years old was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. I asked God why and how could he do this to her after all she has been through. I became lost. I was trying to figure out how I would raise our son. It was during the pandemic so that made it worse. 6 months of hard chemo and a full mastectomy and 3 additional surgeries. I couldn't be there by her side for anything because of covid. It's been 4 years since all of that and she is cancer free. God had us and we realized that during that low time. We are more in love and closer than we have ever been. She wanted a bow so she could start hunting with me so I got her one. We are working on getting her upper strength back so she can draw it. It's at 42lbs now. Still got to get the bow rigged up. Baby steps. I told her I want to quit my job and just hunt. Make a YT channel and go for it. She said to do it, but I can't bring myself to take the leap not knowing the unknown. Been praying about it. This was an amazing episode. God bless both of your families. Thank you for sharing yall's story.

I have tried to comment on this for a couple of days and just not been able to put together the words. Doing so would force me to talk about my struggle with Christianity and that's something that I am just not ready to do. I do want to say that the message was very powerful and Thank you.

I married a woman who divorced her 1st husband because he stopped asking her to go hunting and fishing with him. She felt lonely and alone. Her ex was worse than me about fishing. But I'm the apsolut worse when it comes to my passion about archery hunting. I'd met her after she was 11 years removed from her 1st husband. But she kinda found out really fast that I was obsessed with archery hunting. I don't think I've ever not asked her if she wanted to come with on any hunt. Where her ex stopped asking after she got pregnant with their 1st kid. & I wouldn't doubt he read this comment. I kinda wish I could have befriended him before I started even dating his wife. Would have shortened my curve on archery hunting mule deer. & he seems like someone I'd like to hang out with. Unfortunately they are not on those kinda terms. But I get everything this podcast covers 💯 %
