Facts, when I first got into archery Dan, Tim, and Josh's videos helped me out soooooo much. I've been in it a little under a year now, and I'll go to a lot of shops and all of them are shocked that I'm better than most of the people at these shops that have been doing it for over 10 years and how much I know already and that every time I talk with them I know new stuff and have even taught them some stuff that I've learned from yous. I still have a lot to learn and definitely not at the place I want to be, but I go out a few times a week and shoot even if it's just a few arrows, and always trying to find new events around my area to meet others, such a great community. Hopefully I can head out west 1 day and meet everyone face to face.

I appreciate Dan's platform for introducing me to you guys. That said I appreciate the separation, much more enjoyable for me personally.

Where Joel has helped with the mental aspect, Josh has helped with the technical. I've gone from helpless and clueless to working on all my own stuff because of guys like MFJJ and a few others. Probably a lot of people can say that. Thanks 🙏

I could have sworn I saw Joel while I was driving in Montana recently, right near the Stone Glacier HQ. Did a double take and my wife asked me what was up. I said "I'm pretty sure I just saw a legend!" Love this new channel guys!

I was at Redding in the group right behind Bodie and I must confess, I did watch Bodie a few times work through his shot process. I couldn't even tell he was using a prototype of the new release. His shot was so clean and precise. It was so cool to watch him! I did order one from Josh when they were available.

Thank you for this. I was hoping you would scan the wall so we could all see the bows that had Joel so enamored. I've been watching a ton of videos with Joel and love his advice. I didn't know about his on line class so I will be checking it out along with that new release. I definitely need the help to break my habits of punching the release.. Thanks again and I can't wait to get back over to your shop in Spokane and shoot your course. I was able to visit for a few minutes a few weeks ago. I had your team make me some arrows. They turned out great.

Great chat! I switched to a thumb from finger release this year because I finally learned what target panic was and that it was the reason I’ve missed animals. I decided that it would be harder to re-train myself to properly shoot a finger than it would be to properly train myself from the ground up with a handheld. It’s been going pretty good so far. Keep up the great fireside chats!!!

Good stuff. The pro shop I once visited told me, when I spoke of getting a press and learn to do my own bow work, that they wouldn't help me learn because I'd no longer need them. I had to step out and risk messing things up to learn bow mechanics and I'm so glade I did. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

So what if they made the same release except the amount of pressure it takes to release is random. Or at least randomly cycled through 4 different tensions/springs or what have you? That way the breaking tension didn’t become learned/expected. Don’t know if that’s possible from an engineering perspective but that’s gotta be the holy grail, right? It would definitely be possible with electronic components in the release.

There is one thing that i dont understand. Some people will practice with a hinge and then shot a button during comp or hunting. Why not practice with what you are going to shot under pressure with and stick with it? The other thng is, people are trying to shoot a button like a hinge, they even have a click like the hinge. Why not just shoot a hinge instead of pretending that you have one.
