Hi Kevin. I would love to see an update on all your Florida Ghosts. It's been awhile. How are they doing? Any info on what we should follow and what we shouldn't would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your failed attempts also. I in our failures we learn lessons that are most impactful and also most insightful. I’m glad the mother plant is doing well and that you have other Florida Ghosts. They are amazing plants. Best wishes and HAPPY GROWING!
My Florida Ghost is just a baby still and has green leaves but so far all the new leaves are coming in minty or just white so we shall see how it goes.
Keiki Paste works fine with Orchid, i got a couple of orchid babys and really long blooming plants. Monstera, Philodendron works great too! But the Plant go dormancy, it takes a lot time to grow on this spot. I see this on my orchids, but it works in the next blooming season, the grow on the spot where i put it last year and tadaaa it's blooming. Sorry for my english. But one information! It can works in other way. You can got a handicap plant. That i got too! Its not often but it happens.
When I propagate my florida ghost, I let the cutting on air for couple of hours or maybe even through the night, cant remember right now (depents on a thickness of a cutting). It then startet to root pretty fast, but it did had totally green leaf, before I done the propagation at all.
Yeah I think I need to start letting my cuttings sit out for a few hours. It definitely would help me 🤣. I'll try doing this again in the spring/summer time. Thanks! 😃
wow that's so interesting. It's usually the opposite for me 😂 Obviously not in this case haha. Do you usually let them callus over or put cinnamon or anything before you put them in soil?
It honestly depends on the plant and how you care for your plants. Syngoniums, certain philodendrons and monsteras, alocasias, hoyas have done well in my experience. It's a lot more work if you have a large collection but I find it pays off if you're willing to put in the work. ☺️
I know this is an older video but i had a question if you were willing to help me out a bit. I have a baby ghost and the original leaf has stayed and been fine but every new soft leaf kinda slowly browns at the tip (starting at the tip while still soft) going in over time. ive tried more water - less water - changing the medium. But they keep going damaged like the one you were showing with the half leaf. Do you know what causes that or can you share what youve done to avoid it? EDIT: actually looks alot like what you call "burn" on your larger plant that you propagate. I guess i should have waited xD
Hey! Since this video came out, I don't think I would stick with the term "leaf burn". The browning is simply the plant not being able to sustain that growth because of the lack of chlorophyll. I also hear that lack of air circulation, humidity, less light can escalate the browning.
I made the decision to cut the leaves off once I saw new growth. I find I usually lose 1 leaf during the propagation process in the mother plant if I don't cut the leaves off but who knows with this one 😂

Thanks! I wanted to be totally transparent and should my failures and you're right! We learn so much more from out failures! 👍
Love your positive outlook on losing cuttings!
i love this video concept! now i need to watch all letters i've missed🌿🌿

Love this! I have my eyes (and heart) set on a Florida ghost
They are such great plants to grow and definitely stunning! 😍
I just chopped my large Florida ghost into 18 cuttings 😰 Wish me luck
I'd love to know about your experience with converting the ghost to LECA.
Lol it wasn't cute 🤣. They actually took a while to adapt.
@@kevin. I'm glad they're mostly on now! This relieves me LOL somehow I was imagining an easy transfer!
I'm interested to see what you choose for letter U! 😆
LOL I'm actually cheating a little bit for the letter..
Love the creamy white Florida Ghost leafs! Very pretty 😍. Love your videos hun! ❤ Still hard to watch you chop up these beauties 😬
They're so pretttyyyy but kinda fragile 😂. Thanks! I know you hate it but look at all the plant babies! ... unfortunately they all died in this one 😬
@@kevin. I hope you get more from the mother leaves. Loved how lush it was till you hacked it 😥
@@lp1642 you're so dramatic! 😂
@@kevin. LoL! A little, but you love me ❤🥰
I dunno but for cuttings, putting them in the soil mix directly works way better for me. Water propagation gives me rot all the time.

I’m here for the pants. I subscribed for the burps 🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💜
LOL OMG
I love the content ..... but I subscribed mainly because of the burp.
I see you use Lecca. Do you find that the plants grow better.

@@kevin. Thank you so much for responding to my question. Where do you get the pebbles for the Lecca and how do you start it off. Thank you.

Such cute plant.... i fell in love with your creamy ghost....... hope to find one..... new subs here dear.....
It's so adorable! I do think that they need a bit more green just so the plant can sustain itself. Thank you so much! 🥰
@@kevin. i also have some plants related videos if you are interested
Awesome video
Thank u kevinn
Did the mother plant lose some of its leaves because you tried to propagate it?
