My ghost is in the same situation and you've inspired me to try air layering. I removed the bright light a couple of months ago and it gave me a white leaf and the next looks to have some green 💚
I´m doing air layering on my Monstera Variagata right now. But I use a spray that stimulates root growth so maybe 1-2 times a week I open it up to wet the moss and spray the root spray on it. Then pack it up again and let it grow. I did the same thing with my Philodendron Squamiferum and everything went really well 😊
Such a risk taker! I would be terrified because I love that plant too. Could this also work for more common plants? I know it’s a good way to prop FLF’s.
I believe that Florida Ghosts can go 'completely variegated' sort of like when an albo goes completely white. When this happens, the leaves never turn green and just die shortly after emerging. The only way to fix this is by cutting the plant down to just before the last leaf that had green on it, unfortunately, the rest of the plant will be unusable. I'd also recommend keeping your moss in your air layer wetter by spraying it every few days.
Hey thank you for the info but that is not correct. Ghosts are variegated yes, but they're made to come out fully white and then grow green. I've filmed a video about what the issue was for me, but basically it was too much light.
Hi Roos, I bought a few.ghost yesterday from an on line shop and first care video I'm watching is yours. What happened to both your ghosts in this video? Are they doing well? Do you have an updated video on them to see how much they've grown?
I dont want to sound negative. I havent seen anyone use pearllight to do node growth. Allways see spag moss . Maybe you should switch before that node rots more and dies all the way.
I love how you show your experiment including your thoughts and considerations along the way. Thanks for sharing, good luck with Caspar.
🤍💚 Hope Caspar will do well! Can‘t wait for your updates! 💚🤍

Amazing! I hope it gets all big and happy again for you ❤️
Casper is gorgeous.great job
Thank you! He's really big and cool now, 3 plants on a moss pole. You'll see him next week in my philodendron collection tour video!

Thank you for sharing this. It will help me with propagating my squami…
I love watching your videos! I look forward to them! Truly! Thank you for doing what you do! This was really helpful!
Thank you so much! I'm a bit scared to post educational videos somehow so I appreciate it ❤️❤️
Casper will do just fine, I have faith.

Those all white leaves are beautiful

And yes I need to get better at maintaining the moisture of the moss! It's really difficult for me 👀😅❤️

Hey! The ghosts are doing great! They're really big and on a moss pole. I show it in next weeks video ❤️
@@plantwithroos Thanks Roos. So you recommend the moss pole for the ghost?
Yes for all philodendron!
Watching this see how uou do with air layering never heard of before you did last video on it
So many baby Caspars!!
Hi dear!!! Glad to bump here!!!
Thanks very much lovely!
🤣 He scared the crap out of me!
😂😂😂❤️👻👻👻
Fingers crossed for Caspar 👻
How's Casper doing now? I have a Florida Beauty Variegata that's growing well. I want to cut it to propagate the top cut but I'm a bit scared 😂
He's doing great! I just posted an update on him in the top 10 from 2020 video
I never airlayered before but now I'm thinking of trying it with my verrucosum... 🤔
I really liked it! First time I semi successfully propagated a more uncommon plant 😅

The moss is organic material, so maybe the moss is causing rot because it is so humid? If there still is moss around the roots?
Hi , I'm new to your Chanel, I have a question for you , can a rooted bottom cutting with no leave live , it's a florida ghost
Yes
So I have one that keeps putting out white leaves that never turn green and just die off anybody know what’s going on with that???
Wait did you watch the video? Is this a joke?
A mixture of (1-3 parts) hydrogen peroxide 3% to (10 parts) water in a spray bottle could help fight off rot and/or fungus.
I don't want to make it too wet right now, but if it rots again I'll try it
Only I mostly use hydrogen 3% pure - it's already 3%
What is white thing on your forehead
I explained it in the video. It's sun block to protect my scar
