    Hearing you talk about how so many injuries stem from imbalances was so good. I'm a massage therapist and it's something that I spend a lot of time teaching my clients about.

    The variation of dumbbells is extremely useful for a small person like me ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxP26Tir6n60vUkdtn4mbwhRO8cwuJQNy2 But the dumbbell size being large it's hard to do certain exercises like deadlift ( I have to have my hands and legs a bit wider to accommodate the size of the DB )Otherwise happy with the purchase. No excuse not to lift weight when it's snowing outside.

    Actually the shoes that he’s wearing in the video are not the sky elites but the asics metarises’. Would be cool if you could do a full performance review on them as ive been seeing tons of players use them.

    But there is one question I just have to ask you, Coach:
    You talked about ankle mobility restriction when doing deep squats. But what could someone do if their ankle mobility is already restricted when trying to do a "standard squat" (with your butt going down to knee level)?

    I grew up thinking/hearing that having your knees go past your toes on squats was bad for your knees. Is that misinformation that I have been living by for over a decade now? Are there certain workouts where that is true and others (like the negative box squat) where is it not?

    • @freddietaraporewalla9040
      @freddietaraporewalla9040 Рік тому +1

      From what I've gathered from other places yeah that's misinformation. In a nut shell when doing sport your knees will go over your toes so if you don't train in that position and get you body used to it your actually increasing your chance of injury

    Do you have any advice about preventing shin splints (from jumping) and strengthening the ankles?
    I’ve been trying out tibialis raises and plyometric jumping exercises after recovering from shin splits a month or two ago with some results
    (And I apologize if one of your videos covers this already!)

    • @xinwang9800
      @xinwang9800 2 роки тому

      tib raises helps with the ankles, I would also just spend a few minutes a day balancing on one foot, I had to get pt done for my ankle after I sprained it from landing awkwardly from a block and my pt told me to just balance on one foot to strengthen it, the other and more expensive option is to buy a bosu ball and try to balance on it with one foot or two feet. joints like the ankle just require you to keep training the movement rather than actually using any weighted exercises.

    • @bharatdhurua953
      @bharatdhurua953 2 роки тому

      strengthen your calf muscles and really focus on warming up your ankle joints
      You can add calf isometrics in warmup so that the muscles gets fully activated
      I think you are a beginner cause i had shin issues when i started running but it never occurred to me this past 1 year
      Good luck
