Honestly i think this does a really good job at highlighting the difficulties of serving in volleyball. I‘ve always struggled with the fact that you don’t see ANYTHING while serving from the top/jump serve. You just have to get a feel for the angle and the power you need.

@@crazier987 it gets crazier if you think about it. In this video he's aiming for the receiver. In real matches, nishida is crazy good at hitting seams. So you have to first determine whether its your ball or your teammate's before you go for it.
@@jimai808 I don't think you'll be able to actually "think" whether the ball is yours or not. 😂 You would probably need to immediately claim it yours with a ball velocity like that
he actually would've been better positioned to recieve if he was further back the step forward is just part of his motion into the splitstep as far as I can tell, I play tennis not volleyball but we also do a small step forward before splitstep on serve returns
It’s nice that you think of it that way. I’m his age too but that fact stresses me out... My peers are literally flying in the air but I can’t even meet the freaking deadlines.

今回GoProをつけてなので西田選手の目線の動きがよく分かり、助走時の風の音やボールを打った後すぐ相手コートをグッと見る瞬間を臨場感たっぷりと見られるのがとても良いです…！
柳澤選手にどうボールが向かってきてどうレシーブするのかや、受けた直後の目線の動き、「うぅ…」という言葉にどれだけボールが重たいんだろうか…等も考えさせて頂ける貴重な動画ですね…
