You don't listen to Mgła for Satan. You do it for the woodworkers and forgers of iron (blessed be!).
But they have a good production
@@ezjik228 exactly, i find this a massive positive
And the spikes!
@@Mp57navy And the barbed wire
@Denu Denovsky Can’t forget the stonecutter’s. (It took a whole quarry to bury their dreams)
This is why they are my favourite band, they tackle deep topics without using predictable tropes of the genre
Black metal cm Be very deep. Maybe not all of The artists are into occult and esotericism. But The main idea of Black metal IS to sing about Satan. Without that, IT IS just dark metal. You cam sing about Satan, by using metaphors etc, like Bythos does and Make it sound sophisticated, and you can do it like blasphemy does.
ironic?
I mean, they're exploring nihilism, which is a very popular topic in black metal (doesn't cheapen their lyrics, I personally love it, it's just not highly unique)
“Without using predictable tropes of the genre” you mean like nihilism and antitheism?
@@guilhermefioresi7538 you are on right tracks. There is bands like cosmic church, and their lyrics takes focus on Satan, through a theistic satanism in a theosophic kind of point of view.
Mgla is like highschool homework, excercises in my futility
(exercises in futility)
You dont listen to Mgla for satan, you listen it to feel like one
Yes! This!
as a Pole i must say that your pronunciation of MGŁA was purrfect
Rel
lel in Serbia we just pronounce it Mgla, because "magla" is our word for fog xD
@@VidZeen Yeah, in Polish Mgła also means fog
@@VidZeen because it mean 'fog' lol
@@igniscarn19 Yes, but Polish people pronounce it Mgwa :D and I did say that it's OUR word for fog.
you should definitely do “listening to Sunn O))) until drums part” challenge
So... merely on the second full length with F.W.T.B.T?
Hahaha lmao good one
Waiting for them to sing about Satan:...
Mgła: NOT. JUST. YET.
savage! 😀
This is a big part of why I like MGLA so much, they don't fall into the tropes of "BLEGH SATAN" or super shitty production but it's undeniably Cold as fuck black metal
The riffs and drumwork on Excercises in Futility is sublime
You could just have said listening to mgla to hear them sing about satan is an excercise in futility
No
Love the band because they don't sing about Satan. Probably one of my favorite bands at the moment. Love their stuff
Non Est Deus - Legacy i thought it was MGLA first time i heard it, you'll love it
I listen for the riffs
and melodies.
would you dislike it if they sang about satan? that's stupid lol
Same here
@@gwen6622 why? Staying away from satanic themes is smart
An actual original black metal band
not sure about that, M8
they pretty much play the regular polish BM style . . . but of course, without the cringy BM aesthetics
they sure are good

I'm hoping for a new album by them... They got me back into black metal during the pandemic.
I've been into Black Metal since I was 17, I never took any hiatus myself, but it's perfectly fine for others to have their own music discoveries.
@@CerealExperimentsMizukiWant a medal?
@@pendraig4075 not trying to brag, just sharing my experience. I was into Black Metal before and during Covid and still am into it. Even more so now probably.
@@CerealExperimentsMizuki Well what I meant, was that I was into it years ago but then sorta stopped listening to it. Didn't mean I hated it, but I just didn't pay attention to it for some years. Then Mgla came along and it sounded fresh and it sparked my interest in the genre again.
@@CerealExperimentsMizuki Nobody asked and nobody cares.
Big brain socially critical Farvann. xD
Huh? You are seeing more in the video than I do 🤣
@@Farvann Why? You intentionally make it look like you're just copying a successful concept. But you end up completely reversing the punchline and poking fun at the stereotypes that used to be the punchline itself.
@@octomanf-zero you're too smart. This ain't the place for you. Shoosh
@octomanf-zero Yes! But I don't see the social criticism there. I just reversed the joke.
@@Farvann he meant that you criticized people who think all (black) metal is about satanism
Listen to mayhem until they actually sound good.
Congrats! You just triggered about 95% of the whole black metal community.
Listening to Leviathan, until I want to kill myself
They sound better live, their shows tend to have better production
But they sound good. Amazing live performance actually
I thought I was get hate on this comment lmfao
Not sure if you're notice, but in other project, Kriegsmaschine debut album "Altered States of Divinity", M. demonstrated how to use the word 'Satan' in black metal in the best possible way: throughout the entire album, it appears only ONCE - and it is the last word we hear on the album: "the matter shall again loosen unto a single point / a candle to be blown out by the breath of Satan".
I listened to this kind of music between ages 6-15, today Im over 30 and religious and its very suprising to listen to those heavy black metal bands because it seems like the lyrics are more in connection with god, religion and deeper meaning of various paths of human lives than many religious people even think about. Super weird discovery
Isaiah 55:8-9 ✝️ 😁🤘
You should definently listen to cosmic church then. It is made by guys who love christ and worship Lucifer. But to be straight, Christ IS the Lucifer, he even says it Himself.
@@korpimuisto That isn't true. Read your bible. Jesus Christ is not lucifer, for you to say such is blasphemy. The devil would not suffer for you, nor would he sacrifice himself for you. Actions speak louder than words & Jesus Christ's actions were selfless. Lucifer is a liar, a thief, comes only to take & destroy. Jesus Christ is the LORD, He is the truth, my savior, & gave his life so that we who believe in Him may be reconciled with God for the fall of man brought on by the disobedience of Adam.
Jesus Christ is the ultimate example manifest in flesh, of God's kindness & merciful love for us all, in that though we were sinners, He gave His life for us. It is through Christ that we are saved from wrath.
@@user-wg3ef1jt4e He does say that He is The morningstar, and that is in the bible. Satan and Lucifer are not The same entity. Lucifer does suffer for all of us. He wanted us to be free and gave His own place in heaven for that. He loved us so much that he gave us our freedom to think. Yet He still gets blames for the sickness of humanity, even when humans themself are the reason to it.
@@korpimuisto Ok. i did some research.
The only Holy Bible verse containing the word lucifer is Isaiah 14:12. lucifer isn't a name of any person or angel, it was a latin word meaning "morningstar".
It wasn't until others writers such as Anton LaVey wrote their own forms of satan that they made his name lucifer instea of satan.
in Isaiah 14:12, God is telling satan that he has fallen from grace in his desire to overtake God & will fall to hell for his rebellion.
He refers to satan as lucifer here, but let's remember; lucifer means morningstar, daystar, shining one, etc. the name of this fallen angel was satan.
Let us remember, satan was an angel before his fall. Perhaps when he is referred to as lucifer, it was meant as "Oh, morningstar (one of God's angels or lights of the world), how you have fallen!"
Maybe then, when Jesus refers to himself as the morningstar, its not him saying he is the devil or somebody named lucifer, but him saying He is the true light of the world, the morningstar (or lucifer) that denied himself & followed God's will instead of his own.
The devil's greatest technique is deception. Convincing people that he doesn't exist, or convincing them that he is actually the good guy before leading to hell is what he does.
wore a Mgła-shirt to a open-air concert here in southern germany a couple of years ago, and they won't let me enter bc they're "obviously right wing" band. Didn't help that i laughed the whole time at them while they were trying to explain, hella funny
i tought that the video was so short, that it would mention satan immediatly
😉
Iam a simple man I see mgła i hit a like
Exercises In Futility is such a great album, especially song's 1 and 4, they're the best for me out of that album but reqlly every song is a banger.
I love Mgla because they're the "Giving Murderface nothing for his birthday" bit if a band made a killer discography out of it.
William murderface murderface murderface 🤘😂
MGLA's lyrics, at times, reminded me of bible verses, but they are very vague. Great band ⚔️
I can't belive I missed this vid....it had me dying man. Love ur content.
You should do a "Listening to Inquisition until there is an open chord"
aaaah! once during a concert Dagon yelled at us between two song "no fun! no entertainment! just satan!" :D
The video length rose my eyebrows (as a fan of Mgła lyrics, I can recall very few references to Satan), so the plot twist caught me by surprise, not gonna lie. :D
Love Mgła, one of my favorite black metal bands.
Legend has it that he is sat there still listining to mgla untill they sing about satan
i just found them because of one of your other videos, really can not drown in enough metal bands, esp black metal. feelsgoodman.
"Would a new flood please finally come
A real rain and an assortment of plagues
And when all is said and done

Some of the best black metal ever. Absolute amazing band
0:15 I think I saw Satan on the couch
If that's a Satan, please take me to his church

As if you never knew how it feels to lose... as if you never knew how it feels to lose to the dice of fate..
forming a band around just one topic and one topic only kinda sounds stupid and is hard to do tho
That's what gives mgla it's 'urgency' tho, the fact that they're obsessed with these kind of issues
Well, that is a reason why band Deicide exists. If Farvann would've made this video, but with Deicide instead of Mgla, he would stop right at the first song :D
if you have thought a lot about one particular topic you can drone on about it for hours
Emperor is good at that, pretty much every song on in the nightside eclipse is about satan, and every one of them has great lirycs, that's one of the few albums I actually bothered to read all the lyrics
Botanist would like to have a word with you.
Probably why i love MGLA most
They dont feel unoriginal
Mgla is just perfection bro. İ also recommend kriegsmaschine too. M and darkside together.
Black metal isn't about "religion". mgla ROCKS!
Before watching the video I was surprised it has only 26 seconds... Really very surprised... But this is just a short trailer of the whole video. Nice one :D
Does "Even the Devil won't care enough to spit in the mud." count?

Why you don't talk about wolves in throne room, brother , for me they are one of the greatest black metal bands of all time
Farvann doesn't touch much atmospheric/ambient black metal on his videos in fact the atmospheric black metal tutorial was made as half a joke half a serious video (which is funny since i'm kind of a sucker for atmospheric black metal)
Very nice Mgła pronunciation, congrats.
