Mgla has a very unique instantly recognizable style/sound...and very consistent through all their album releases..with what must be very rich musical/cultural influences from all members...thank you Poland!!
It sounds weird, but Mgła reminds me a lot of a Spanish BM band called Andhord. At least their (Andhord's) very early work before they even published an album. Good days..
Those guys are doing the best stuff that Black Metal has to offer. They deserve every praise they have got since last year and even since before. This performance is flawless, and so full of flowing emotions. Respect from México!
Exercise I has moved me to tears with how beautiful it is. Such perfect nihilistic poetry paired with music that feels like existential panic. The atmosphere is suffocating. This is the gold standard for black metal.
