Rudy, you are a master fabricator at a young age. I'm 59, 40 plus years in the trades and I know it when I see it. Your vision of what you want, the path to get there, and the ability to do it, are remarkable. Giving your skills and time to your brother truly reflects your character. Good job, Matt, on raising a fine man, brother, father, husband, and citizen. Rudy, you are a blessed young man.
Good for you Kaulin, nothing wrong with a long bed. That back suspension is sick, Rudy. Make that bed floor hinge so Kaulin can show off that fabrication work.
In a world of lifted recovery rigs , rock crawlers , and Corvairs....... I 100 percent dig that Kaulin and Rudy are building a sick slammed c10 . Love it
The bed is heavy, lesson learned. That’s why old timers say “ they don’t make em like they used to” they used to make cars and trucks out of heavier metal, now they are plastic and aluminum
Rudy does fantastic work. I am not a fan of slammed vehicles, but Rudy's work is unbelievable. I love seeing his brother there, as well. Kaulin seems like a good guy, as well.
Wetzel brothers 🤔 I had a childhood friend named Tarek Wetzel. His dad's name was Roderick Wetzel. He worked at the FAA. I remember one night we stretched my Stretch Armstrong so far he tore apart. 😂❤ this was back in 79'-81' Thank you for the memories that popped into my head when I read your comment.❤
@@my3sons386 With an extra person why would you not at least double the rate of work they could put out? Kaulin is very skilled himself and would thrive in this environment. It's up to them honestly, we should not apply pressure to anyone.
I know y'all have new rims but those white old school steelies look surprisingly good too. Going to be an incredible build when done , can't wait to see the finished product.
Ordered mine (Rudicon). What else would a Rude girl order??? LOL I accidentally got some bleach on my first shirt (radcharger) so needed a new one. At 71, oops is an everyday thing now. LOL Love this build, Kaulin is a sweetheart, and you are a good brother. Sweet too!
Hey rudy i wanted to say how great it was what you and all your friends did ,pulling your resources to help that mechanic out that lost his shop and his son. it says alot about your character, well done sir.
Wow Rudy, that truck is turning out Sick man. You are amazing especially that rear-end the way you designed that is AWESOME DUDE. Thanks for taking us along bro can't wait for the next one. And I can tell Kaulan is totally happy with it. The only thing I didn't like was Kaulan not wanting to Shortbed it.
Great Job Rudy and Kaulin. I was raised around low Rider clubs in our town in California. All my friends had Hot Rods Nova's Corvette, Cadillacs and Chevelles Rancheros and El Caminos,Cudas and Challengers, and several Rodded Trucks 70s in our town was awesome. Cruise nights 🌙 😎 the best
How's the Mini build going? Do you know what power plant you're using yet? I saw you liked my comment about using a 2dr S10 blazer chassis, then I realized you'll probably fab your own.
The original height as measured from the top lip of the rear wheel opening was 28 & 1/4" which is also... the top of the open tailgate! The bottom center of the differential pumpkin was only 7 & 3/4"!
A advantage to having a hump in the floor of the bed is that it will give it a platform to rest the underside of the dirt bikes. Yet the clearance of the bed and ride height of such dirt bikes will be taken into consideration I'm sure. Awesome build by RAD and a little Brother.👍🏁
I would put on a bolt on bracket to support unless you go with bigger bolts. Not trying to criticize, just a suggestion. I think you guys are doing a great job.👍
This is such a great and refreshing project. Shows skills to create darn near anything. Plus I have always wondered how these "low riders" functioned and now I have a great view of it. Great Job Rudy and Kaulin
That truck is going to be sweet! That’s so cool, Kaulin, that this is a project that you and Rudy are able to do together ! Wish I had a brother like Rudy to help me with my projects . 👍
It could even get a bolt-in wood bed panel designed, which could be removed/installed relatively easily, so the work truck usage remains, AND they get a simple way to remove and display the chassis - oh oh! hinged behind the cab? prop bar for the panel to be held up? This would definitely add significant weight to the panel, but might be pretty cool.. I'm with you on being able to see all that fabrication goodness - worth the work to be able to show it off?
You guys are doing an awesome job on helping your brother Kaulin on building his first Dream Truck. It may not be a Rock Crawlin', 4x4 but your brother just wants to be a little different in his ride ;) Gotta love those ole early 60's Chevy P/Ups Kudos to you Rudy. You think beyond your Dad, but I certainly get where you get your vision from too ;)
I like the "Imagination Wall" concept. I just "imagined" some square tubing from the hardware store into a new section of non-rusty fence for my front yard! Maybe I should "Watts link" my Accord next. 😄
LOL - while Rudy is cutting the fender out, my brain says "that truck is so lucky to still have that fender intact!" ......then Rudy says "there is a truck out there just like this that doesn't event have this part due to rust"
That bed is made of good old-fashioned American steel! Say it loud and say it proud! Be very happy that a shopping cart can not bump that bed and cause $1000's in repairs. Edit: I love your choice in thought food.❤ snacking while thinking keeps the stomach quiet. 😋
Amazing work, as much as I love all the rock crawler builds going on, I'm loving Kaulin's C10. My first forays into car building was a 39 Ford my dad bought when I was in high school, I spent a fair bit of time learning from him working on that.

Right on to that! Sucks that the Like ratio is so low here though.
@mrweldwell
I second that comment!
This is one fantastic build !
Matt kept them busy in the garage and recoveries. Keep them busy and they stay out of trouble
I think most kids just want guidance. Their hobbies and jobs usually follow parents. @@gregholmes3661
As a Sixteen year girl can see a Bee yesser, and fraudsters. These kids are a joke 🤡..👍
Good call on keeping the long bed! Short Beds ARE cool, but it seems 'everyone' is doing that. Yours will be unique.
Good for you Kaulin, nothing wrong with a long bed. That back suspension is sick, Rudy. Make that bed floor hinge so Kaulin can show off that fabrication work.
I'm not a huge fan of the 'low-rider' idiom, but your fabrication on Kaulin's truck is just world-class!
In a world of lifted recovery rigs , rock crawlers , and Corvairs....... I 100 percent dig that Kaulin and Rudy are building a sick slammed c10 . Love it
Matt and his Wife did a great job raising these lads....humble, crafty (literally), hard working 👌👌✌️✌️🇰🇪🇰🇪
I saw a slammed truck recently, with a rear window sticker that said, "Praise the Lowered"
I have that on a t-shirt. Love it! Probably wouldn't go over so much in Utah though. 😁
I think that started in the 80s.
🤔🙏👍😁
Great video as always Rudy keep up the good work and I am liking you posting videos more often
The bed is heavy, lesson learned. That’s why old timers say “ they don’t make em like they used to” they used to make cars and trucks out of heavier metal, now they are plastic and aluminum
You're an amazing fabricator Rudy. I don't know how you were able to get this skilled at such a young age but it's very impressive.
You guys need to keep those white rims. Anything else will ruin the look.
Silver deep dishes would also look pretty sweet
Rudy does fantastic work. I am not a fan of slammed vehicles, but Rudy's work is unbelievable. I love seeing his brother there, as well. Kaulin seems like a good guy, as well.
Putting the tailgate towards the back is a good first step. 👌 👍🏻
I can't say I'd be disappointed if Kaulin became a permanent part of RAD. It's awesome to see the Wetzel brothers getting it done together.
What we need is a budget build off with Matt and Kaitlyn vs Kaulin and Rudy. Maybe Rory can play too
Wetzel brothers 🤔 I had a childhood friend named Tarek Wetzel. His dad's name was Roderick Wetzel. He worked at the FAA. I remember one night we stretched my Stretch Armstrong so far he tore apart. 😂❤ this was back in 79'-81'
Thank you for the memories that popped into my head when I read your comment.❤
You would see less of Kaulin Rudy puts out a video twice a month if that
@@my3sons386 With an extra person why would you not at least double the rate of work they could put out? Kaulin is very skilled himself and would thrive in this environment. It's up to them honestly, we should not apply pressure to anyone.
Matt has to be a super proud youtube channel starter. What is it now, 5?
I never understood why anyone would de truck their truck lol. slammed is just silly. lol. but IM sure it will be cool when done.
Rudy I hope that Kaulin becomes part of the Rad team. You guys work together well
Rudy it's all looking better and better. keep up the good work I like it a lot, oh and thanks for video it.
Those rear chassis rails would make nice exhausts and keep it clean looking 👍🏻. Hi from Sherwood Forest UK.👋
thanks for the sale i got a shirt shipped for less than the original 25 ive been wanting one for awhile excited for it to get here
You are quite a craftsman. You need to finish the dodge now and make it the most radical truck out there.
I know y'all have new rims but those white old school steelies look surprisingly good too. Going to be an incredible build when done , can't wait to see the finished product.
Man, I've missed this project! It really reminds me of VGGs Longmire! Kaulin is gonna have a sweet truck!
Kaulin, I love that you kept the long box and I agree, Kaulin needs to be full time RAD member.😊😊😊😊
Personally I like a long bed truck. Good call keeping it.
I still haven't stopped by and met you, I got my 77 crew cab squarebody c20 driving, and maybe I'll whip it over there.
Safety Director Higgins did a lot of hard work.
Now that was an awesome video 👍 truck's turning out super awesome as well.
Ordered mine (Rudicon). What else would a Rude girl order??? LOL
I accidentally got some bleach on my first shirt (radcharger) so needed a new one.
At 71, oops is an everyday thing now. LOL
Love this build, Kaulin is a sweetheart, and you are a good brother. Sweet too!
Yup this thing is Phat!! Its going to turn heads thats for sure.
Cool wall ! My sister made me a sign that I put up in the shop that says , If you can imagine it I can build it ✓
Hey rudy i wanted to say how great it was what you and all your friends did ,pulling your resources to help that mechanic out that lost his shop and his son. it says alot about your character, well done sir.
Put bigger lines to fill and drain the bags fast. My buddy had those on his El Camino and tha made it so much better
Should have hinged the bed to showcase the frame and suspension work.
Great audio match/ bounce to the vid at the end there. Enjoying the build. Long beds made for more gear!!

Such a cool video series this is keep it up💪
How's the Mini build going? Do you know what power plant you're using yet? I saw you liked my comment about using a 2dr S10 blazer chassis, then I realized you'll probably fab your own.
Very nice work, it’s lookin amazing!!👍
Looks awesome. Wondering why you don’t get replacement fenders. Those look in pretty bad shape.
The original height as measured from the top lip of the rear wheel opening was 28 & 1/4" which is also... the top of the open tailgate! The bottom center of the differential pumpkin was only 7 & 3/4"!
Ok this truck is becoming RAD
Another great episode on the C10 build. That truck showcases some fine custom work. When does the mini cooper project start?
Are ya'll gonna swap to a big back window?
The one advantage I can see with a lowered truck with an 8 foot bed would be to load and unload dirtbikes.
A advantage to having a hump in the floor of the bed is that it will give it a platform to rest the underside of the dirt bikes. Yet the clearance of the bed and ride height of such dirt bikes will be taken into consideration I'm sure. Awesome build by RAD and a little Brother.👍🏁
your knocking it out of the park with the design work.. love it!
I do love them old C10 trucks. That's probably why I have one also
Excellent progress. Like how you did the rack and pinion steering set-up.
I would put on a bolt on bracket to support unless you go with bigger bolts. Not trying to criticize, just a suggestion. I think you guys are doing a great job.👍
why is it that there isn't a thumbs up icon?
👍🙂👍
you should put a plexiglass window in the middle of that bed, so you can show off that amazing suspension and lift setup. 👍👍👍
This is such a great and refreshing project. Shows skills to create darn near anything. Plus I have always wondered how these "low riders" functioned and now I have a great view of it. Great Job Rudy and Kaulin
loving your build its looking NICE
That truck is going to be sweet!
That’s so cool, Kaulin, that this is a project that you and Rudy are able to do together !
Wish I had a brother like Rudy to help me with my projects . 👍
Glad you don’t cut the bed. You squared the top of the bed, did you square the bottom of the bed?
Wow!! Build is looking great, the slammed look is awesome.
Rudy, when you cut the front fenders out did you account for clearance when turning the wheel?
I think you should put a tilt bed on it so u can show off your awsome suspension work it would be a shame to cover it up
Impressive work! Love how you and Kaulin are working together on this project!
the rip on the steering boot on the right side ,top a bit of silicone sealant will fix it just fine!
U guys you're right a trucks not a truck if the bed is not usable
I didn't run out of gas this time, I ran out of wire 😂 if it's isn't one it's the other.
Mr Dave from the Dirthead Shed would be impressed
Kaulin should be sanding the rust off & rust proof it.
Love the c10 build! Doing killer work!
Great fab job on the C 10...
Congrats Matt and Jaime for raising some fine kids.
Very nice
Now that's on the ground
The truck is turning out AMAZING. I sure hope the patina stays this way.
You guys are killing it on the build! Thanks for sharing!
I was having a snack while watching you have a snack.
Lookin good 😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😎
I just love this page.. 100 organic content and no shilling!
Awesome work guys 👍
I’d be tempted to leave the bed open without floor boards to showcase the beautiful unique rear suspension
Could use plexiglass
Tilt up on a hydraulic lift?
You are going to put the wood bed floor back i hope
Ausum work Rudy !!!!!!!
You do very nice work.
You do nice work Rudy!
Hope.you reinforce the frame where you notched it
Good job big brother
Rudy: Your younger bro is a lucky dude.
Awesome build Rudy.
Looking good 👍😎✊
That's RAD 🤠
Gotta love it
Curious, when you lower a vehicle do you install wear plates on underside of the frame. Like removable steel plates that will take the scrapes?
I’m all for the long bed being how clean the truck is
It should be interesting as they said that it would be a wooden bed like from the factory. I wonder what type of wood and what stain?
The word "build" get thrown around a lot on UA-cam....This is truly a Build with a Capital "B", Awesome engineering and fabrication!
Body drop!! Body drop!! Body drop!! Loving the way it's turning out but having this thing bodied with all of that insane fab would be next level!!
Well done, you are a good fabricator.
What's up with RAD and MORR streaming? Lots of load problems. Many other channels stream fine
I like the "Imagination Wall" concept. I just "imagined" some square tubing from the hardware store into a new section of non-rusty fence for my front yard! Maybe I should "Watts link" my Accord next. 😄

Random question, I'm from the UK, and I've noticed that 99% of Americans who have channels all have differsant variations with lisps , why
I don't usually go for lowered trucks but I REALLY like this one. Its noice. Great job guys!
Amazing work, as much as I love all the rock crawler builds going on, I'm loving Kaulin's C10. My first forays into car building was a 39 Ford my dad bought when I was in high school, I spent a fair bit of time learning from him working on that.
Good job guys! That truck looks and functions awesomely! Nice work. I'm going to go check out your merch. Be safe!
