We’re ecstatic out here Dennis that you and Deb have decided to do this channel. You both have been key fixtures in the race scene for a long time and watching you handing the keys over to your kids has been an awesome chronicle of American life. The information on this channel will keep the up and coming hot rodders come back for more! This truck along with ‘55 210 and the ‘55 savoy are great examples of the classic American hot rods. Hot rodding is an uniquely American phenomenon and you guys are great examples of it! Keep up the great content and we’ll keep tuning in!!
Dennis, I used to think that i engineered stuff two steps ahead , but you are in another realm! Can't wait to see the final outcome! Keep up the great work!
I don’t think anybody understands the work that you have put into this unless you are a car guy when I met you at sick fest in Orlando last year. I shook your head and said you’re a genius your work is incredible. I am just blown away in the detail, and what you can do with the welder is amazing, thank you for showing this
I was fascinated by COE’s as a child and now am a fan. I’m pleased to see so many builders building these rig’s now. I wasn’t aware that you were building one now and I look forward to seeing the completed build. Looking great now.
Thanks Dennis! I'm a young 57 years old and enjoying what you do. I grew up at Orlando Speedworld from the 80s and moved on. Drag bikes and drag cars are my passion. Some people don't get it but Thanks.
Dennis, your knowledge about how most things work and the knowledge you have on how to build or make things better is unmatched by none. The quality at which you build is remarkable because you like complicated things made simple. I wish i had a chance to do what you do and have half the knowledge you have. Thank you for your amazing ideas and builds.
Dennis " I love that truck!! " love everything you've done for it. Building something that complex and beautiful, just using your imagination and hands, rather than using CAD is a special ability.
Dennis, this truck made my day! sure was glad to see it good that you fixed it up and make use of it that's the reason they made it! also it will take more than the new ones will they made this truck the way they should be strong! a friend of mine built a '56 Ford Coe with a rollback bed on it and built a '56 Ford pickup and hauled it all over the place he took it to a car show and it won cover of the magazine! he got ill and it sat in the garage after the man passed the family sold it and the other guy just tore it all up! dennis you are a "magical mechanic" the truck looks great! sounds good too! be nice when you get it all done! thank you dennis! sure do enjoy your videos! appreciate it!!
Very cool. You're the only other person I've heard say "coolest thing since sliced bread" besides myself. Big block power, plenty of power without the stinkin smoke.
Yeah, diesels are stinking polluters for sure... in Australia they believe working in confined spaces like garages etc, and breathing in the exhaust fumes, can lead to cancer!!!
Dennis, i have never said anything like this before. I believe that you may be the most talented car guy I have ever seen. Your builds are always amazing but this one is the best yet. Just amazing sir. your talent, creativity and every adjective I can think of is the best that I have ever seen. Just amazing!
Love this video. So much thought put into this build. Seems like it will be a truck to last the rest of your lifetime, and could be passed to one of your kids. Great job.
60 minutes Dennis. The younger guys don't have the time for the details, the older guys do! I've been watching you guys for quite a while. I'm DAN TAYLOR, I wish we were related . I've been looking at a primo condition 1948 MACK COE for a while. Super rare truck sitting in a trucking yard near me . Keep up the great work, I'm getting inspired. 😊😊
EXCELLENT breakdown of the build! You answered all the little questions a TRUE car guy would want to know that others may not have been curious about. Looking forward to seeing it road worthy.
I love this channel. It's like when your distant family comes to town and asks you about your project build. Dennis loves talking about this stuff, and I love being here.
Holy cow Dennis the quality of your builds are mind blowing you definitely can see you have an engineering mind and think of everything! From the 55 using the frame as puke tanks!! To the coe modifications wow I see where the girls get their talents from and that's not to leave out your beautiful wife she is also a badass in the shop laying fiberglass and not afraid to get her hands dirty!! Love the channel brother keep it up!!
The COE deserves the love take your time and make it right. The patina look is perfect on that old iron. Your attention for detail is spot on keep up the good work and thank you for sharing the video.
When I watch how well you do all this it makes me feel bad about how I did my Mustang. You do such great work and put so much thought into functionality. It's just awesome.
Dennis the attention to detail is incredible. Those little things like the custom made clamps to hold the power steering lines and little pieces like that are what I think is the best part of the build. Making everything look like it belongs there. Love it, keep up the great work my friend!!
Dennis!! that is coming out AMAZING!! i really dig the fact that you make as much of the build from scratch... but not the things you might need on a road trip... love this!! keep 'em coming!!
shirt tail engineering is a very humble description considering the actual quality of the build, and his record of achievement in the industry. I also enjoyed he went with magna flow , a top brand not getting enough love lately.
I was wondering what happened to this truck! I saw it a long time ago on Alex's channel and I fell in love with it because of all the "outside of the box" engineering that is in it! It's totally show worthy, but it's totally practical. I can't wait to see it finished! An idea for the steering coupler... tractors use a spring loaded, push button collar coupler to attach the drive shaft for whatever implement it's towing, onto the pto shaft out the back of the tractor. No tools needed. The implements drive shaft slides and extends to reach the tractor and the coupler locks onto the pto shaft with the button. Just an idea. Beautiful work! Have fun!
Those lug nuts aren't my taste, but they scream attitude and fit you perfect. Engine sounds great, the truck as a whole is a show truck, all the one off details, wow. Loving this channel, keep it real.
I've been waiting for this Coe to come to the publics eye for over a year now. Saw a glimpse of it last year. Thank you Mr Dennis and Megan for making this video. God bless Taylor racing. Mr Dennis Taylor is by far the best under ground builder and Tuner in America hands down. God bless yalls and keep racing
Love your truck, Dennis. It's perfect. I built a 50 Ford F2 with a flathead V8 back in the late 70's, and I had a pair of 7 1/2 gallon oak whiskey kegs from the Jack Daniel's distillery in Lynchburg I mounted them under the bed behind the cab, and made a tool box out of the driver's side, and a cooler out of the passenger side. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the road!
What a fantastic project, your attention to detail is awesome,I agree, old, maybe a little beat looking on the outside, but state of the art ass kicking underneath. Definitely a "one of a kind "!! Anxious to see the bed, that sounds very trick. Thanks for the video.
Man I've been waiting to see it and it doesn't disappoint at all. It's a little strange not seeing Alex running around!!! Can't wait to see it finished!!!
I love your idea of a short video lol... Love the content! Thanks so much for starting this channel... What you do is so uncommon these days and it's great you're sharing it FINALLY!
That is way sweet!!! And yes I'm a little jealous. About this time last year right before I had to get a bypass. I bought a 1963 C10 with a good running 327 , 5 speed trans and a 2 speed rearend. The friend I bought it from said I had to take a 1963 GMC 5000 he said the moter is stuck but pretty sure just rings stuck . It has a 409 in it , it come from the factory with a big block V6. Somewhere along the line someone put a 409 in it. Heck even has headers, they had to be cut to fit. I put some marvel mystery oil and transmission fluid in the cylinders. I have it broken lose I either hope to find a roller t bucket, are have to make a rat rod. All the T buckets I seen so far are out if my price range. I live just outside of hot springs Arkansas now. But I grew up just outside of Joiner Arkansas on the family farm I know all the MSO crew , they are a few years younger than me. My best friend is Jeff James who has the big blocker killer camaro. Best of luck to you , your daughter and wife and the rest of the family. May Jesus bless yall and keep yall safe driving and racing. Reed Ryals
I appreciate the details you give, shows your passion. I am sincerely hoping you continue to bring us along and that you resist the temptation to morph into just informercials like many UA-camrs do. There are enough people showing off the hundreds of thousand of dollars of equipment companies have given them hoping viewers would go buy the products.
Awesome Dennis. Why is it our projects always come after everyone elses? I retired last year and slowly I am workinf thru my backlog. I only wish I had the 30 something body to go with the 70 something knowledge now. All you need now is some "leave me alone" time! That rig is awesome!
I want to do something like yours not like everyone with a s10 frame. Very nice work you can see the thought and workmanship. Be very interested to see it finished
Thanks for the video Dennis and Debbie. I really love how much detail you put into all of your projects. I’m a few years younger than you Dennis and you are right I hate the spikes😂. That big block sounds nasty.
New sub, thanks for the content. Since my childhood I've loved COE trucks, my grandad had several on his ranches. I'm very impressed with your workmanship and your style in general, doing things the way you want it not governed by what other people are doing. It's a very cool truck thanks for sharing. I really like the patina.
This is the most crazy awesome thing I have ever seen. Great video, thanks for showing this. Like everybody, I've been wondering where this project went. Would like to have seen this kind of a detail video on that Roadster build and if there is one I didn't find it. It's only when you show all of this that people can actually begin to even imagine and appreciate what you can do and it is truly amazing.
I like that truck, I’m glad you’re getting back on it. The center console would be a great refrigerated cooler for drinks. That truck would make a cool hauler for a retro camper to stay at the drag and drive races, I love the idea of the art deco car hauler too
WOW! Your quality of workmanship and attention to detail make it a real pleasure for me to watch your videos. Thank You
The old school all out guys with good taste in vehicles are slowly disappearing. Im glad your sharing your knowledge and ideas with us, nice truck!
Dennis, if you ever are hiring? Let me know thx
You are absolutely right. And it's a shame it really is
@@terrymoore9185he’s hiring . Did you get a call?
The COE is going to be so wicked looking once you're able to finish it
I really appreciate the tour of the COE. The engineering and fabrication is top notch.

The thought behind this project is amazing.Build quality top notch. A real work of art,and it’s not finished. When it is my brain will explode. 🇬🇧
Thank you for this detail walk around. Your ideas and craftsmanship is amazing… 😊
I was fascinated by COE’s as a child and now am a fan. I’m pleased to see so many builders building these rig’s now. I wasn’t aware that you were building one now and I look forward to seeing the completed build. Looking great now.
Dennis I appreciate your explanation of putting your COE together. No nonsense straight talk
Thanks Dennis! I'm a young 57 years old and enjoying what you do. I grew up at Orlando Speedworld from the 80s and moved on. Drag bikes and drag cars are my passion. Some people don't get it but Thanks.
Fellow Floridian here. Grew up just south of Orlando Speedworld. Great racetrack.
Hey I’m Florida
I raced go karts there
Dennis, your knowledge about how most things work and the knowledge you have on how to build or make things better is unmatched by none. Thats a freaking WORK OF ART!! I cant wait to see what you do next! Your a legend!!!
Dual filler caps for the win
Let's not forget to give Debbie props for being the ultimate racecar mom and wife

This is what I have been waiting on. Coffee ready
Awesome beast of a heavy duty truck built by an extraordinarilyy gifted innovater/fabricator/engineer/hot rodder.
I'm seeing this truck for the first time. AWESOME! Will watch episodes as you complete. What a master piece! Thank you for sharing.
As usual..a "Dennis Original" with great taste and style. Well thought out...expect nothing less of You.
Visionaries can see things finished that common folks can't. You're a visionary Dennis...along with being an exceptional fabricator. Love your COE.
Dennis, i have never said anything like this before. I believe that you may be the most talented car guy I have ever seen. Your builds are always amazing but this one is the best yet. Being a truck driver I love the spikes ❤

Has to be the most badass genius Mr Taylor a true God to engineering and hot rod building
You’re very talented brother, you knocked it outta the park again!
I can't wait until it's done, I get more impressed with your knowledge and skill with every video. Great job
What a great build
