Picked up a Weebill S this evening and HUGE help in balance and set up getting familiar with settings. Clear direct not pushy good advise and down to earth Thanx for info and being here. Subscribed
I had a look at a few other demo's but I must say this was the most excellent and easy to follow demonstration I have ever had, loved it. made it all very simple and uncomplication Thank you
I ordered mine today finally and i hyped to try it out. this tutorial is very helpful thanks mate.
Tanks for the great walk through! Yesterday I picked up a Ronin SC for my Sony A7III with Tamron 28-75mm lens. The entire rig with a Rode microphone attached weighs just over 3 lbs. This is well short of the 2kg (4.4 lbs) stated capacity. The Ronin worked ok at first but I started noticing it would lose control of the camera and flop around. I tried multiple balancing procedures and the auto tune. It would check out ok and then continue to not perform well. Today I returned the Ronin and picked up the Weebill-S. Wow! I'm so glad I made the switch. I got it setup in 20 minutes and was able to shoot a few hours of footage. I have almost no gimbal experience and I feel like I got some great shots. If you have a heavier camera and lens combo, you can't go wrong with the Weebill!
Thanks. A valuable comment/feedback as these are the 2 gimbals that I’m currently considering for my Nikon Z5 setup. How’s your experience with the Weebill-S so far? Thanks🙂
@@psoon04286 To be honest, I have only used it for a few projects so I can't comment about durability but I think it is a good product. Tons of options for those that need more capability. I only wish I could spend more time shooting!
I suggest once you have the gimbal balanced as described in this video, you also check the balance in the underslung position. For me (EOS R, 50mm prime) the gimbal was not quite balanced in the underslung position. After balancing it there, it remained balanced in the upright position.
BEYOND helpful. Super clear and to the point 😄 thanks so much for this, dude!
I just got one for the studio for Christmas. Thank you for this. I also subscribed!
What an excellent production. Very good. My Weebill s will be delivered on Monday. Looking forward to all you video so well done. Thank You.
Glad I found a gimble that fits my 5d mk iii, can't wait for it to arrive
Will it be compatible with the 77D?
Did you like it now?
@@gopropublicrelation5619 need to see if its compatible with my Sony A7 iii
Very helpful tutorial, great gimbal. Loving it on canon m50 thanks
Thanks for taking time to explain. Learned plenty and I'm coming over from a Crane 2...this Weebill S has some neat and efficient control features and easier to calibrate.
Just oredered mine today, cant wait :D
I just got this for my birthday today. Very excited about it!!! 😆😄
(Great tutorial!!)
this video did help me much. now my weebill s is balanced, now i can start making good car videos
I have a thumbs up coming for your video so staaay tuuuneed 😂
Very informative video! Perfectly explained 👏🏻
You said basic package, where did come up with the focus motor 🤦🏼♂️
you can skip those parts man
@@BluNinjaHood000987654321 thank you for saying that, I was worried I missed something😅
Right tho keep it simple next time
@@BluNinjaHood000987654321 I didn't know I can skip UA-cam videos thanks
I'm so glad someone mentioned this. I myself, like many others, was worried my kit was missing this part. This video should NOT have showcased this add on accessory.
Thanks for all the Details, great video 🙌🏼
Ok everybody: to control with Sony cameras: use USB-C cable and set gimbal to camera: Canon. This worked for me! Or you can try Panasonic. Good luck!
J P yeah.. I tried both and got a “USB Mode Connecting... nothing happens
Shawn Wilson latest firmware on both machines?
J P honestly can’t seem to figure how to download firmware to the gimbal
Shawn Wilson use the app on your phone and connect to update
J P same here. The Sony setting does not work at all for me A6500 user.
I read somewheres that if you plan on zooming to balance it with the zoom halfway out, that way the motor uses way less battery when zooming
Great Video, very helpful!
Great tutorial, thx!
It seems like a very gimbal. Thanks for the tutorial.
Just bought it. Thanks for your video.
Been using mine for 6 months. It’s incredible
how do you like it now?
GoPro Public Relation still like it, but it does slow down production vs just hand holding. Same as any gimbal.
How to balance it?
Just started with this gimbal, great video straight to the point and easy to follow 👍
you helped SO MUCH 10/10!
Thanks man this was a real help. I was just about to return this thing
I just learned a whole bunch. Thanks
Love this video🙌🙌
Thank you for this video. It’s very helpful.
Amazing tutorial, a very simple explanation , useful, great job, bro 👍
Once i get my Canon M50, this is the gimbal I'm going to get, great video!!
U try already sir how ur opinion ?
Nice tutorial. Cheers! 🙂
Thanks bro very helpful. You’ve started my video career lol
I just ordered mine to compliment my Crane 2.
Watching in anticipation for Christmas gifts....*rubs hands together*
So me right now for Christmas 2020
Need a more in-depth video on the menu system.
There's so much of important part you didn't mention in this tutorial
I thought this was the basic setup video for the Weebill-S and then at 2:36 he's talking about the zoom controller which is a separate item.
it was included in my bundle. there are different bundles with more or less items included so I was glad they showed how to attach it...
Just bought this! cant wait to start using it
any honest comment on weebil S? cuz im planning to get one
@@botakecix tbh i havent had too much time using it, been busy with life etc. but when i purchased used a few times and it worked well with the films i made, I'd definitely say do more research than my suggestion lol
Very nice sir, it helped me lot
Great vids, man ! Just subscribed. I have an xt3, can it be powdered by the weebill via usbc ?
I can't seem to find the answer to this question. I have an arca swiss plate under my a7riii. Do I need to screw it on the gimbal every time? What solutions do I have? If I buy an arca swiss base will the system work?
Very very informative video bro
Good tips :-)
thank you sir. from nepal UKR
I had to go and watch another video, as this one misses a few important basic aspects!
Yeah this is a pretty bad explanation for straight out the box
@@jameshollins5659 definitely
Which video? Had to keep pausing and playing. Still couldn’t get it.
@@livefree1111 same here.. got to find another video!
Yes-I noticed that...he skips over a lot of stuff
Glad I saw this I was going to send it back and just use the Merlin....
For Weebill S, may I ask how can i remove the 1/4" screw below? I want to mount it onto a 3/8" long monopod for better secure connection.
Good explanation
Thank you wonderful device
Ibrahim TB Cheers, thanks for watching.
Thanks for this video. Would the Weebill-S work with my Canon 5D Mark II, or only with the later Mark III or IV versions of the 5D?
My gimbal arrived today!
Random question, does your gimbal also makes a squeaky noise? While holding the gimbal or balancing it I hear a squeaky noise. Once I turn the gimbal on with the camera balance, the noise is not there.
Thank you for this helpful video. I love my Weebill-s but every now and
then it somehow goes into what seems to be a SLEEP mode showing a couple
of letters "Z... Z" on the little handle screen. I cannot figure out
how to wake it back up unless I shut the gimbal off with the power
button and start over. Do you know a better way to wake this up when the
Z's are showing?
Thanks for this tutorial, it really helped me balanced my gimbal on a Canon 5D IV with a 24-105mm lens… you did a great job and I’m loving my gimbal moves now.
Excellent info
Hi, is there any settings for the joystick’s sensitivity?
awesome - thx
Very good this review, I would like to know if this gimble is fully operational with Canon EOS R and the Canon 11-24mm lens or if it is only partially operational with this set, in this case, which functions are impaired or inoperative?
Thank you for this really useful information. You have a mentioned that you can connect a larger lens on a smaller camera. To be specific, Will I be able to use A6300 and Sigma Art 35mm combo please?
Absolutely you will. You’ll be able to use even bigger cameras or lenses than that if you need to in the future.
I got my Sony fdr ax53 balanced well, but is it possible to have it connected to the gimbal like mirror less or dslr cameras?
Do you know if can handle a Sony AX700 camcorder,? I mean it's enough space for the viewfinder not hitting the motor of the gimbal?
Hello ! I just unpacked my gimbal and I am in trouble. When starting to balance the gimbal, I unlocked the Roll axis motor and I feel a hard point tough when the arm is horizontal. I indeed double check make sure the lock is off but the hard point is still there.despite this hard point I balanced the gimbal ( with my Nikon Z6 with 24-70/4 on it) the best I could do. At first it seemed to work well but a warning appears telling me some axis is locked ??
Hi ! I’m having huge problems my gimbal keeps saying axis lock and is beeping i feel like no one is talking bout this! And i feel like i just bought a bad product i calibrated all axis’s as well
I literally just opened up the box for the first time and there's no screw in the middle of the quick release plate....do I have to return the whole thing?
I have a questing.. I shot some video using smooth 4 on my iPhone after the gimbal on my dslr ran out.. There's a couple of videos I shot that fail to save to the camera roll.. How can I extract to save to my laptop?
Hello! Is it works with a panasonic lumix gx9? Thanks for the reply 😊
i have some problem whis weebill s: when cable is connected to the camera (sony a7iii), the pan angle fall sometimes.
what is the problem?
Excellent review and tutorial I have a question for yoy please
I have weebill s and yesterday I downloaded the ZY play app on my samsung s8 phone When I press conect now the screen shows Device list ! Error I wonder if I should have image trnsmission (I don't have one) to open..or what am I wrong and where?
Whats all the accessories you're using in this video? I been trying to find that zoom ring thingy but cant.
Hi, any idea what could be wrong when roll-axis shakes a little while walking? Everthing seems perfect balanced, motors auto adjusted.
Lumix g9 + pana leica 12-60.
Greetings!
Thanks a lot 👍👍
In the compatibility list there is a mention of Olympus OM-D E-M1 mark II, I have the E-M5 Mark III, which is basically the same in a lot of ways. Unfortunately I can't connect to the camera. Is it possible to make the E-M5 Mark III work with the Weebill S?
the most helpful video about the balance.... step by step... the stab has been torturing me for days ...
Thanks for the comprehensive and helpful explanation. But I wanted to know
the if the product is also suitable panasonic lumix s1 &24-105 lens kit. thanks
Yes, it is ! You could see it in the compatibility list:oss.zhiyun-tech.com/zyplay/instructions_edit/supportmodel/WEEBILL-S-Camera-Compatibility-List.pdf
Hi, how are you? Two weeks ago I bought the same gimbal, I was testing it with two different cameras, but the same lens.
With the first camera, a Sony A3500 with a 18-105mm F4 lens, it worked absolutely perfect.
Now with the second camera, a Sony A6000 with the same lens as before. When I turn on the gimbal, it starts to vibrate a lot, i mean like hell. So I quickly disable the rotors by holding the POV button because i'm scare to break it down.
I have followed absolutely all the instructions, step by step. I have tripled checked everything from balance to trying a different rotor level (low vibrates less, but still) and still get the same result. I searched on the internet for the problem and there is no topic about it.
I want to add that I have't mounted any other accessories or anything, only the camera with the lens. Please, if you can think of what could be happening, I would be very grateful if you let me know because I can't understand what is it.
Thanks a lot. Cheers!!
Hi.
Just did first setup and balance with fuji xt30. everything seems to be fine apart one thing- can hear sound like squick. Dont know where that comes from but probay from motors. Any ideas how to sort that out?
Heyy wonderful video & product as always from zhiyun, been ur subscriber for a while now, enjoy ur videos & needless to say they are super informative, 👌🏼 thank u. I have a query regarding a gimbal purchase - I have a sony ZV-e10 & the sigma 16mm,30mm&the 18-50mm aps-c lenses..I don't see the sony zv-e10 camera listed as compatible on ur website..so wud u suggest the zhiyun weebil s for my sony zv-e10 & sigma lenses set up?
When using the rizer plate, the camera is always top heavy.
Tilt axis is already at its lowest position, so I can't balance that axis perfectly...
Is there any way to add more weight to the bottom so the tilt axis can be balanced when it is already set at its lowest position?
Where are the other videos he is mentioning? Thanks for this one though, but I want more :)
Hi, would the focus control on weebill-s work for Fujifilm cameras like the X T3? I just sow you setting up on camera brand and I didn't see Fujifilm camera on the list? I can't find a good gimbal that works with Fujifilm cameras. please let me know. Thanks!
I bought Weebill S yesterday. But I’m not able to connect it to my Panasonic Lumix G7 camera. The cables provided with Zhiyum Weebill S is not matching. Can you help me to solve this issue? How can I connect my cam to Weebill S gimbal?
Thanks so much for great review. Does ZY Play app require the Image Transmission Module to do Panorama, Timelapse, Motionlapse, and Long Exposure Timelapse or is it able to do these without it.
Hi there,It able to do those without image transmission module.
Hi can you help me please. My weebill s always rolls a little bit when panning in Pan Follow mode. Why is that? Its perfectly balanced tho
Hi, what's the plate used so it can be compatible with Manfrotto and arca quick release plates? I need one for my crane 2.
A technical question: after setting the follow focus to "Max" and "Point A point B", how do you memorize your new settings. In my case every time I've done it and turn off the Weebill S and then switch it on my follow focus settings have gone. Someone can tell me how to do?
Hi Brad, I'm looking for the self mode. I saw in other videos "press 3x POV" but - nothing happens. Can you help? Best regards Pit
Hey Bret did you do a video on the ZHIYUN Motion Sensor Remote Controller For Weebill-S ??? I want to use it on my Jib
Can I use my Canon eos 200d with my kit objectiv 18-55mm from Canon with this gimbal? Or are there any problems? Thank you. Please answer
Great video. Haven't used DSLR type cameras with this type of gimbal so my question is - once you have the gimbal balanced for a camera/lens combo, when you remove it, can you put it back on the gimbal as is or do you have to re-balance it every time for the same rig?
If you don't remove the quick release plate from the camera and don't fiddle with it, then you won't need rebalancing.
@@bpunching is there a way to mark the plates to avoid re-balancing every time? Thanks
@@psoon04286 I think it's possible, but never tried it. In fact, if you always use the same camera setup, you'll need to mark the quick release plate only.
Hello, great video. But, did I get a defective unit ? In PF mode the Roll and Tilt axis will not lock. In L mode none of the axis lock. Am I missing something ?
I’m trying to put my Canon R5 + 24-70mm lens on my new Weebill S and having troubles. I’m trying to balance the first tilt and I have the camera as far back on the plate and the plate as far back on the gimbal as it will go and it is still leaning forward. Am I missing something?
Is there any extension tubes for this so you can lift it up higher ?
Thanks you
I just got my weebill S. Connected it to my a7iii. What button do I press to take a picture ?
Soliddd
For some reason when I select menu and then motor, I don't have "auto". I just have low, medium and high. Also I don't have the submenu which allows me to select the brand of camera I'm using.. any idea?
Hi Can you please confirm if we can perform all the action with canon d77 with this gimbal or not?
If you had a choice and you already have a crane M2 gimbal....Would you purchase the Zv1 or would you purchase a larger gimbal Weebill S or Ronin SC to use with Canon and Nikon mirrorless cameras?
