This is really a big problem and apparently if you ordered the gimbal with follow focus and transmitter it's in the pack but with transmitter on it's own it doesn't come with it. One of the most important things to be honest because it's really hard to find such a short mini to micro hdmi. I have bought the long one hdmi to micro hdmi and adapter from hdmi to mini hdmi. That sucks

The kit arrived today. The included HDMI Mini to HDMI Micro cable (A cable) isn't long enough to connect to my Canon EOS M50. It seems to need to be 1ft long and the micro HDMI end needs to be 90 degrees as to not hit the pitch motor.

doesnt work anymore :/ my two devices wont connect to it and if it finally is connected the app tells me it needs to be connected to the trans mount and the error message tells me its connected to the trans mount but wont recognises it. the 1.8/5 star rating on the appstore is on point

What’s the best way to use & (wire up) with also having a Ninja V recorder that uses HDMI from the camera. Ninja V can record in 4K. I saw a somewhat similar question but the answer did not describe my question. Camera is Nikon z6. Very good video by the way 👍. Thank you for your help.

Hi, I am using sony a7iii, two things did not work for me. When I press record on the monitor, the screen goes blank and can not see the image. and second thing is joy stick on the monitor dissipated. What have I got wrong?

I been trying to connect my a7iii to the transmitter and the weebill s but when I plug in the HDMI to the camera the screen goes black and the app says that the item is not working correctly. I tried changing the settings of the camera to PC Remote etc and it still doesnt work.
Hi great video but the video transmission feature not working for me nore the camera controls working with the gimble at all even though all the cables are connected. Phone app does get connected but still no control works aspect moving gimble around no capture button no video recording and no image transmission what's going on here I'm using canon r8

So, I just found out that you actually discontinued the receiver, and made a new transmisor, but there's literally 0 information on the internet on how to use it, it can also be used as a receiver for the external recording? I just set mine up today with a Sony A7riii. I am having trouble panning with my phone. I only seem to be able to get a few degrees. Tilt works great and roll is a little crazy. But really I want to be able to pan and tilt for remote control especially mounted to a tripod or car. What do I need to change to make pan function?

I have a question. Can you pull focus with this gimbal and the focus weel without connecting the focus motor like you can with the dji ronin sc or do I have to use the motor all the time. I have a Sony a 6400.
Maybe a daft question, but I can't find clear information on it. The Image Transmitter can send 1080p 30fps to smartphone. Does this mean one can only make films in this quality or is it still possible to record on the camera at say 4K?
I bought the transmitter separately (had weebill S already) and it came only with USB cable but no HDMI cable! ZHIYUN told me that the HDMI cables are only included if you buy the Weebill S pro package with motor and transmitter. There are also other issues. The transmitter adds in the way mounted as it is shown here in the video to much not centered weight (leaning to left) which results that I cannot balance my Nikon Z7 with 24-70S2.8 anymore because I cannot change battery anymore if mounted! I turend it around and it works so because weight is more centered. Currently I have to wait for HDMI cables which I had to buy from Alibaba (and therefore it will take a month to arrive here in Europe) because ZHIYUN does not sell them in Amazon or ebay in EU. Will post here again when my setup is working.
Hi I've setup the gimbal with the transmitter. We can get the control to the gimbal to work via bluetooth. However, we cannot get the wireless transmitter to connect to the phone. When we connect to the transmitter, the wifi indicates there is a "limited internet connection". We cannot can any videos or image. What is wrong?
Is it only compatible with Weebill-s as I see you connected the transmitter through some cables with the gimbal it self was that only for the charging purpose?

Can you tell me has Zhiyun updated the software or hardware for the Webill lab so it transmits with the Fujifilm XT3? I have almost Abadan using the gimbal due to my frustration. For canon 80d, is it the micro to mini usb cable for connecting the camera to the transmission module, and not "another" multi-port to mini usb cable (which is not included in the packaging). I asked this because in the module, the port is for multi-port type cable, and there is no included multi-port to mini usb cable included in the package, that is why it confuses me. Or, the micro usb can be plugged in to the multi-port of the module, and not lose any feature (e.g. Smart Follow)? I hope my question is clear. And, 2nd question, for canon 80d, is it mini-hdmi to mini-hdmi for connecting the module to the camera? Thanks a lot.

Greatly appreciate it! ~ A question for you about the wireless monitoring and camera control feature ~ I currently have a Panasonic GH5 and always use the Atomos Ninja V 5 recording monitor. This monitor connects to the camera to serve as a larger viewfinder and also has the ability to record directly to SSD. I plan to get the Zhiyun Weebill S and was looking to see whether the image transmission system is required or not?? If I'm just looking to use the Weebill S as a smooth stabilizer gimbal, do you need the image transmission system for the ability to have the viewfinder even show up on the Ninja V monitor ?? I plan to use the gimbal for the typical features of smooth filming, without the need for controling the gimbal with my phone. Any idea whether the image transmission system is necessary for the typical viewfinder image to show up on the monitor that usually just serves as a larger view compared to the camera screen. Would greatly appreciate any insight ?? ~ Thank you
Hey Marc, in your case, the image transmission system is not required if you have already got a monitor and have no needs for controlling the gimbal with your phone!
Hi, there. I absolutely love the gimbal but I've had a nightmare trying to sort transmission with the Canon M50. It may well be that other M50 owners have solved or found a workaround for this problem. Basically, with the M50, the HDMI (micro - thanks, Canon) and the USB control port are not only too close together but on the wrong side of the camera altogether, as far as the transmission setup is concerned. The cables, when connected to the transmission module that can't be reorientated, will not reach the camera ports. The only way I can get it to function is ... wait for it ... backwards. I've bought an HDMI full female to HDMI micro male, which has sorted out the video feed side but I don't know what to get to lengthen the cable that fits into the SS-USB port on the transmitter. When connected (backwards) to the camera, it's not a snug fit either. From what I can gather, many different camera owners are having their own peculiar issues with the Weebill S and consequently it would be INCREDIBLY useful if Zhiyun and/or yourself could do brief videos for the gimbal for each model, even if that means we have to buy additional cabling. We just want it to work. Cheers

Since the controls of the Weebill-S are not working on my Fujifilm X T20 - I guess that this module will also just provide the plain picture transfer and nothing more. Am I right?
I have a question about the weebill S with transmitter and a Sony a7R3. My Camera follows an object, but it is not focused/sharp. If the Object changes the distance it becomes blurred. AF-C is set. I would be very happy to hear from you.
Your enthusiasm makes this sound simple. It’s not. I’m using a Canon M6 MKii. I can get the Weebill to connect through the ZY app and, once, I actually got an image to come through the app. Woo hoo! But, I then tried follow focus. I was able to tap my phone screen and get the autofocus brackets. then, I moved. Nothing. No follow. The Weebill-S didn’t move. Here’s my main question: Why is it that when I connect the gimbal to WiFi, I’m unable to connection the image transmission module to WiFi? I keep getting an error message that says the transmission unit requires a WiFi name that is formatted in a certain way (which happens to be the way it is actually formatted)? Does this having anything to do with why I seem to be able to control the gimbal through WiFi, but I get no action from the image transmission unit? I hope someone answers because I’m getting ready to blaze my Amazon review.
what a Round Shaped Pilot do you use to operate this gimbal? To be seen first aside on the table a then used by you since about 3:25 minute of this video.
it does NOT WORK! The concept is great, but it's very frustrating with the sony 6600. It freezes the image right away or it does not focus. So disappointing as I was looking forward to it!
Followed your instructions exactly and got everything up and running with my Sony A7iii. However, when connected to the image transmission module, the only way I can start/stop recording is via the button on the screen app. The on-gimbal red record button no longer functions. Did I miss something in the setup?
Jeff Burrows I have it set up with Sony a6500 using the exact cable he plugged from the camera to the transmitter in the video and the record button in the gimbal works. The 002 cable won’t work.

How is the performance of the new image trasmission module 2.0? Maybe it is a stronger reliable hdmi transmitter that can be used also stand alone without the gimbal? Something like hollyland tramsitters?
I have about 5 days Image Trasmission module 2.0. Crystal clear is probably exaggerated, but the video transmission is much smoother to iPad than directly from the camera.
Hi there, I was hoping from some help from you. I recently bought the image transmitter. I am trying to connect to a Canon EOS R. The transmitter firmware has been updated. I connected the unit with both the mini hdmi to mini hdmi and the USB-C to Micro B 3.0 which are both brand new cables. When I connect the cables to the camera and turn transmitter on I get an ERR code on my camera. Any ideas of how I can fix this problem. I greatly appreciate some feed back. Thank you.

not sure, but I cannot select the Weebill S in the app, and... the transmitter keeps an orange light.. .doesn't work, sucks a bit. I have a canon R ... which, needs an USB C input, and... that's just the one cable of the dousan supplied which is NOT in the package... sucks this.. Can live video be transmited to the ZY Play app without the Transmission System ? Just by connectin the camera to the weebill with usb cable and phone to weebill by bluetooth ? I see that on the LAB version it is done so, but I can't seem to get it working on the weebill-S.

I have connected my transmission to my gimbal and my canon 90D ,everything is working apart from when I press to record it says it is recording but when I play back there is nothing. Also Facebook live doesn't work. Any ideas?
Sounds beautiful but I always have problems connecting with my phone. Every time I connect there seems to be a new firmware update and it's a pain in the ass to be able to update the transmitter. I am never able to update by the same method. Sometimes my phone just can't connect via bluetooth with the transmitter. Sometimes it can. Sometimes the transmitter won't show on the Wi-Fi menu, sometimes it will... Really frustrating.
Would this work with a Lumix g7? That camera is famous for not working with monitors for video (only stills). Would this solve that problem? Nvm... just read the list. Thanks for the info though.

I didn’t see that but I hope you can control the focus from the app (at least from the zoom motor but ideally also from the lens motor for AF lens) ? Otherwise seems like a major missing functionality
What are the settings on the camera? I have the same setup using a7iii but I always receive “the device is not working, please restart and connect again”, also my camera screen goes black after plugging in HDMI cable.
I'm having the same issue with my a7iii too, I'd really hope that zhiyun reps could respond. I got the image to come through and have set the gimbal camera to css, but have no luck in controlling the camera from the gimbal when image transmission is on. If I dont use image transmission then I can set the camera on the gimbal to pano, or canon and then it allows camera settings control. Please reach and help if anyone can chime in.
I have the same issue. A7iii and no camera controls with image transmitting. Without image transition I have the controls via the gimble by selecting pano instead of ccs. Has anyone got this working yet?
I followed your steps precisely, however when I click connect now it brings me to the "allow ZY Play to access" screen, I verify ZY can access everything.. I also make sure its connected to the transmitters network ZHIYUN_TECH_****, then I go back to the ZY Play screen and my xmitter still says "Disconnected" Connect Now.. not enter.. is there something I am missing.. ? p.s. I have tried all the transmitters in the list and it does the same on them all.. and I tried it with both my iPhones 11 pro max and 7 plus
Hey brad, when connected to my phone I get interferences every 7-8 seconds for about 1 second. Im close to the transmitter and on the latest version. How can I avoid that? Using a sony a7iii and a samsung m30s as a monitor .Thanks

I have a question. Can you pull focus with this gimbal and the focus weel without connecting the focus motor like you can with the dji ronin sc or do I have to use the motor all the time. I have a Sony a 6400.
Maybe a daft question, but I can't find clear information on it. The Image Transmitter can send 1080p 30fps to smartphone. Does this mean one can only make films in this quality or is it still possible to record on the camera at say 4K?
I bought the transmitter separately (had weebill S already) and it came only with USB cable but no HDMI cable! ZHIYUN told me that the HDMI cables are only included if you buy the Weebill S pro package with motor and transmitter.
There are also other issues. The transmitter adds in the way mounted as it is shown here in the video to much not centered weight (leaning to left) which results that I cannot balance my Nikon Z7 with 24-70S2.8 anymore because I cannot change battery anymore if mounted! I turend it around and it works so because weight is more centered.
Currently I have to wait for HDMI cables which I had to buy from Alibaba (and therefore it will take a month to arrive here in Europe) because ZHIYUN does not sell them in Amazon or ebay in EU.
Will post here again when my setup is working.
Not supplying a suitable HDMI cable is really poor.
Finding a suitable one (min HDMI>mini HDMI) is surprisingly difficult.

Hi I've setup the gimbal with the transmitter. We can get the control to the gimbal to work via bluetooth. However, we cannot get the wireless transmitter to connect to the phone. When we connect to the transmitter, the wifi indicates there is a "limited internet connection". We cannot can any videos or image. What is wrong?

Can you tell me has Zhiyun updated the software or hardware for the Webill lab so it transmits with the Fujifilm XT3? I have almost Abadan using the gimbal due to my frustration. For canon 80d, is it the micro to mini usb cable for connecting the camera to the transmission module, and not "another" multi-port to mini usb cable (which is not included in the packaging). I asked this because in the module, the port is for multi-port type cable, and there is no included multi-port to mini usb cable included in the package, that is why it confuses me. Or, the micro usb can be plugged in to the multi-port of the module, and not lose any feature (e.g. Smart Follow)? I hope my question is clear. And, 2nd question, for canon 80d, is it mini-hdmi to mini-hdmi for connecting the module to the camera? Thanks a lot.

This monitor connects to the camera to serve as a larger viewfinder and also has the ability to record directly to SSD. I plan to get the Zhiyun Weebill S and was looking to see whether the image transmission system is required or not?? If I'm just looking to use the Weebill S as a smooth stabilizer gimbal, do you need the image transmission system for the ability to have the viewfinder even show up on the Ninja V monitor ?? I plan to use the gimbal for the typical features of smooth filming, without the need for controling the gimbal with my phone. Any idea whether the image transmission system is necessary for the typical viewfinder image to show up on the monitor that usually just serves as a larger view compared to the camera screen. Would greatly appreciate any insight ?? ~ Thank you
Hey Marc, in your case, the image transmission system is not required if you have already got a monitor and have no needs for controlling the gimbal with your phone!
Hi, there. I absolutely love the gimbal but I've had a nightmare trying to sort transmission with the Canon M50. It may well be that other M50 owners have solved or found a workaround for this problem. Basically, with the M50, the HDMI (micro - thanks, Canon) and the USB control port are not only too close together but on the wrong side of the camera altogether, as far as the transmission setup is concerned. The cables, when connected to the transmission module that can't be reorientated, will not reach the camera ports. The only way I can get it to function is ... wait for it ... backwards.
I've bought an HDMI full female to HDMI micro male, which has sorted out the video feed side but I don't know what to get to lengthen the cable that fits into the SS-USB port on the transmitter. When connected (backwards) to the camera, it's not a snug fit either.
From what I can gather, many different camera owners are having their own peculiar issues with the Weebill S and consequently it would be INCREDIBLY useful if Zhiyun and/or yourself could do brief videos for the gimbal for each model, even if that means we have to buy additional cabling. We just want it to work.

I have a question about the weebill S with transmitter and a Sony a7R3. My Camera follows an object, but it is not focused/sharp. If the Object changes the distance it becomes blurred.

Your enthusiasm makes this sound simple. It’s not. I’m using a Canon M6 MKii. I can get the Weebill to connect through the ZY app and, once, I actually got an image to come through the app. Woo hoo! But, I then tried follow focus. I was able to tap my phone screen and get the autofocus brackets. then, I moved. Nothing. No follow. The Weebill-S didn’t move.
Here’s my main question: Why is it that when I connect the gimbal to WiFi, I’m unable to connection the image transmission module to WiFi? I keep getting an error message that says the transmission unit requires a WiFi name that is formatted in a certain way (which happens to be the way it is actually formatted)? Does this having anything to do with why I seem to be able to control the gimbal through WiFi, but I get no action from the image transmission unit? I hope someone answers because I’m getting ready to blaze my Amazon review.

Followed your instructions exactly and got everything up and running with my Sony A7iii. However, when connected to the image transmission module, the only way I can start/stop recording is via the button on the screen app. The on-gimbal red record button no longer functions. Did I miss something in the setup?
Jeff Burrows I have it set up with Sony a6500 using the exact cable he plugged from the camera to the transmitter in the video and the record button in the gimbal works. The 002 cable won’t work.

I have about 5 days Image Trasmission module 2.0. Crystal clear is probably exaggerated, but the video transmission is much smoother to iPad than directly from the camera.
Hi there, I was hoping from some help from you. I recently bought the image transmitter. I am trying to connect to a Canon EOS R. The transmitter firmware has been updated. I connected the unit with both the mini hdmi to mini hdmi and the USB-C to Micro B 3.0 which are both brand new cables. When I connect the cables to the camera and turn transmitter on I get an ERR code on my camera. Any ideas of how I can fix this problem. I greatly appreciate some feed back. Thank you.

Sounds beautiful but I always have problems connecting with my phone. Every time I connect there seems to be a new firmware update and it's a pain in the ass to be able to update the transmitter. I am never able to update by the same method. Sometimes my phone just can't connect via bluetooth with the transmitter. Sometimes it can. Sometimes the transmitter won't show on the Wi-Fi menu, sometimes it will... Really frustrating.
How to add luts for zy play? All it says is a download address. No one has actually shown how to do it yet. I've been searching for about a week now.
Would this work with a Lumix g7? That camera is famous for not working with monitors for video (only stills). Would this solve that problem?

I didn’t see that but I hope you can control the focus from the app (at least from the zoom motor but ideally also from the lens motor for AF lens) ? Otherwise seems like a major missing functionality
What are the settings on the camera? I have the same setup using a7iii but I always receive “the device is not working, please restart and connect again”, also my camera screen goes black after plugging in HDMI cable.
I'm having the same issue with my a7iii too, I'd really hope that zhiyun reps could respond. I got the image to come through and have set the gimbal camera to css, but have no luck in controlling the camera from the gimbal when image transmission is on. If I dont use image transmission then I can set the camera on the gimbal to pano, or canon and then it allows camera settings control. Please reach and help if anyone can chime in.
I have the same issue. A7iii and no camera controls with image transmitting. Without image transition I have the controls via the gimble by selecting pano instead of ccs. Has anyone got this working yet?

I followed your steps precisely, however when I click connect now it brings me to the "allow ZY Play to access" screen, I verify ZY can access everything.. I also make sure its connected to the transmitters network ZHIYUN_TECH_****, then I go back to the ZY Play screen and my xmitter still says "Disconnected" Connect Now.. not enter.. is there something I am missing.. ? p.s. I have tried all the transmitters in the list and it does the same on them all.. and I tried it with both my iPhones 11 pro max and 7 plus
