- ACTION PACKED! We finally got on the podium at the 6th round of Formula D at one of my favourite tracks in FD. It didn't come easy, we had good luck mixed with bad luck but never gave up along the way narrowly missing out on the finals with Chelsea - Congrats on the win buddy! I hope you enjoy this one, I know I certainly did haha.

This reminds me of wall NJ 3 years ago. His nitrous stopped working in the 2j s15. He just said "well it's fine I just have to do my job and drive the car." And he won first place with no nitrous in top 4.

Hometown won against skills, it was so obvious. Gotta have independent judges, closed in a room where they don't see the reactions from the audience. That'll increase the accuracy and transparency.

I personally felt like you should have had an OMT in the final 4 even with the mistake at the end of the bank but hey a podium is still good
Personally his mistake on the bank isn't even close to the many mistakes Hughes had
@@leofhr2966 they say they don’t weigh the chases as heavily but his mistake cost him the win when his lead was better
At least OMT. Hughes had poor angle in chase, had his back tires on a lower line on the bank as a result, and completely missed OZ 3. So that combination is less bad then Deane coming slightly off the bank at the end? The explaining judge didn't give reasons while 'explaining' afterwards. Because there are none?
@@joshpittman2939 It really doesn't make sense at all, they are contradicting themselves on every single topic they have ever brought up in this one battle, it's actually mind breaking stupid levels of ignorance and oblivious inconsistencies. They have literally mentioned how they dislike drivers throwing less angle to keep close proximity, Dylan does exactly that in his chase, they have complained about chase drivers not mimicking the lead driver to maintain their proximity and pressure on the lead, Dylan does that the entire run, they have complained about drivers missing zones because they try to keep proximity and not mimick the lead driver as can cause mistakes or crashes or even have a poor run in general because of this, look at OZ 3, nobody is home but James in that zone as far as I can see. James did a perfect lead run and did a much better job in his chase even tho his one mistake was leaving the bank early, he mimicked Dylan and stayed close to him the entire run and tried to at least touch every zone following Dylan, yet the judge said Dylan did a better job in all of those areas like having angle and mimicking the lead driver and filling zones, it's like they are either blind or somehow mistook James for Dylan.
@@leofhr2966right!? Look at both their attacks on the entry wall. JD was making love to that wall. Hughs didn't match his angle for nothing there. I like Dylan hughs he's a good guy. But judges got this one really wrong.

As somebody who was able to attend this event your first battle for top 32 was nerve-racking to watch. Definitely felt like a one more time was in order on the last battle. Your lead was so much cleaner than his, but his chase was stronger. Congrats on the podium!!

Definitely has been a big progression year for James, switching from a turbo 2J comp car to the RTR drivetrain. I'm sure he'll just keep getting more comfortable and keep piecing it together. Even this round he showed in his battle with Robbins that he can flip a switch and run a kill-mode chase, or like his lead with Hughes... He's getting way more confident and capable.

Hey james stupid suggestion but, have you tried Oakley prism lenses for sun driving? I dont get any glare with them regardless how bright the sun is. Just a small suggestion. If you have tried them then ill just wish you the best and keep watching you slay the tracks.
