@@ZeroTo60Tube I have the same alloy oil pan, no problem till now. Are there different in the market?
@@mygarage1084 Its such a simple part of the design. My assumption is they have likely changed the o-ring on the pans. So initial units were fine, but then production changed. Common occurrence with cheap parts. The factory makes a change on the production line with something they assume wouldn't make a difference.
👍👍
Sounds like a pretty smart guy! Shame that some damage was caused by the after market pan 😢
I think I’m the only IS300 2JZ in Oz with an 8hp 😊 as off rn.
We have done one in the 8speed shop.
@@ZeroTo60Tube ok maybe in SYD hehe
Sad to hear about those clutches.
Hey could be worse. It seems to hold power up in the high gears absolutely fine. So with this tuning, we should be safe for a longe period of fun.
8hp zf gearbox have solenoid issues by factory. This should stop as soon as possible
Don't even talk Htg please 😅. They are just the most headache you can have... Did spend more than a year with them then bin it and went turbolamik
+1
I have never used one, but have spoken to so many people with similar stories. Seeing how much work Lamik has put in to his controller, focusing on one transmission, makes me realise why HTG have issues with so many supported boxes and less development time as well.
@@ZeroTo60Tube The Lamik controller is great, I have it in my Miata as well. Needed a little love from the remote tuner as well because the 8HP45 support is fairly new but they sorted it in a single session and I love it ever since
"69 clutch plates"?!
