The maxpeeding rods in my mk4 golf are actually amazing for costing under $200 for the set. Slammed with no bottoming out, not a bouncy ride. It's funny how good they work for now.
It might be how shot my last struts were on my beater but it's crazy how big of an upgrade they were for $200. My other cars are on bags or nicer coilovers so I'm not totally clueless
Depends on the car and the brand you’re dealing with. Ebay brands are a no go 100%. But ive got a 335i on racelands(lol) and they ride perfect for me and its been 10k+ miles. They also have a lifetime warranty. There’s also some base bilstein coilovers for my car that only cost $200 more ($750) and the reviews are great on those too (pretty reputable brand too). Not saying I wouldnt get some better ones, (i have more money now then when i did when installed the racelands) but I’m just saying research can save a few bucks depending on the options for your car.
Currently I'm running a set of Godspeed Mono RS coilovers on my S14. This is my first set of coilovers for the car. I paid right around $800 for this setup off of ebay and they ride great. With the ride quality, high adjustments, dampening adjustments, and camber adjustments in the front, I can honestly say I got my money's worth. But in the future I do plan on upgrading to Form and Function Type 2 coilovers for a stiffer spring rate.
@@BimmerMafia ride better than oem for me. Im sure the b14’s are good just didnt have much height adjustment for me. Only 20mm of range kinda defeated the purpose of getting coilovers

You can still cheap out and not get complete garbage tho. I have Godspeed Mono SS coilovers on my Speed 3 that were ~$700 brand new. Yeah, they're a little bouncy cuz of the spring rates but not nearly as bad as I thought they'd be. They are also single way adjustable like BC BR coils. Except that the rear adjustment knobs don't require you to cut into the rear of your car to reach them like the BCs do. That's the main reason I bought the Godspeeds. They're not as high quality as BCs with Swift springs. But mine is a daily, so I didn't want to spend a ton of money on something that will be 85% daily, 10% back roads, and 5% track car.
I got my fortune autos with swift springs from you guys and these coilovers are insane. I love them so much and can tell the difference when sitting in other peoples that don’t have fortune autos.
Bilstein coilovers (inverted monotube only) came installed with thick bump stop. They can take quite a bit of abuse and actually last you 50K miles at reasonably lowered heights. Their basic coilovers (PSS or B14, whichever way you'd like to call it) are about 1K depending on application and coupons, which has awesome value compared to other similarly-priced options.
I lowered my Stinger GT when I had it because it looked off-road ready at stock ride height. Looked horrendous. Debating lowering my Camaro SS, but I’m not sure if I will. It’s not nearly as bad as the stinger was and it’s nice to not have the negatives of lowering anymore. Like scraping the center/underside of my car on crests, increased tire wear due to alignment geometry changes, and more. Would look great though.
Honestly I think for you guys who Sell wheels tires and suspension, yall need to make a video on commong issues with coilovers and problems that may occur when setting them up and maintain them. It's not enough to just promote products and talk about brands. What about longevity, use and maintenance? It would have saved me about $2000... which could have gone towards upgrades that would have made more sense for my street only car. Cheaper is not always a bad thing. Then something like adjustable springs are perfect.
I run $400 raceland coilovers on my 10th gen civic and yeah there's little to no dampening adjustability but for the price point it didn't matter to me all I wanted was the lowering adjustability and it did that.got them in 2019 and 3 years later the coilovers are still holding up,I think the max lowest I can go is 3.5 inch drop but I dropped my car 2.5 inches and it looks good and still can go over bumps without breaking or scraping my car.To me it was a better option than spring since most spring sets are around the price point of Raceland coilovers anyways.

My friend ran into the issue where the coilovers he got were leaking fluid everywhere before he even opend the box, half of the box was soaking wet.
How about you make coilovers inexpensive but quality? I challenge you Fitment Industries. I bought a set of coilovers around $250 and I am nearly satisfied with the result. What say you?
I don't think cheap parts are worth it. I hit a concrete wall going 80 around a blind corner. Having quality suspension parts and wheels allowed me to regain control and keep the wreck to myself. @@FitmentIndustries I would get coilovers but my tomei is going to scrape
Been looking at getting a pair of silvers neomax coilovers for my e46 330XI, they come in around 1100$, anyone have any opinions on them?
Silvers are a trusted brand! -Edgar
I can tell you right now it's definitely not worth buying cheap coilovers. I bought some cheap coilovers that were advertised as fully-adjustable but aren't even. My friend ran into the issue where the coilovers he got were leaking fluid everywhere before he even opend the box, half of the box was soaking wet.
i have an 04 accord coupe and i want coils and i have a 900$ budget
yeah, i got a set of street basis teins for getting groceries lmao.
What are you running for wheels on that bad boy? -Edgar
Xxr 555 18x8.5 35, look sexy af on my 03 Altima but definitely a #wip
Is this guy the new Sean?
Nah, hes just Sam 🦊🦊🦊 -Edgar
Are you guys wizards because I was wondering is it a good idea to by cheap coilovers
Here’s your answer! -Edgar
I would lower my car however got to many messed up roads and potholes around my area so that's a no go
Yeahhh. 😔😔 thats understandable. -Edgar
Got a chrysler sebring sitting on 22s with low profile tires and inch n a half lift with 3 inch spacers
Not to many mods for it though lol
@@brandonmohr6252 Sebring on 22s? 🤦🏼♂️🤣
22 inch rims lol
I love it lol couldn't help myself man
How about you make coilovers inexpensive but quality? I challenge you Fitment Industries. I bought a set of coilovers around $250 and I am nearly satisfied with the result. What say you?
I don't think cheap parts are worth it. I hit a concrete wall going 80 around a blind corner. Having quality suspension parts and wheels allowed me to regain control and keep the wreck to myself. I can personally vouch for the Enkei Kojin wheel, if they shattered I likely would have died by being hit by another driver.
Glad you're still around homie, thats a scary thing to go through! -Edgar
I hear ya but in Dakotas wise words i like to air out for the peasants 😂

Whatever your saying here isn't going to add an extra $600 to $1,000 in my pocket.
Some words of advice on pretty much anything, don't save a penny to lose a dollar.

Speaking of expensive. I just put a partial payment on a set of Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers. 😓 ow my wallet.
Worth it! You won’t regret it. -Edgar
@@FitmentIndustries I'm pretty excited. All I need to get after the coilovers are the tires. Then go get them all installed on my car before Automotion. Which btw I was wondering if I could use Fitment's building as a background to take before and after pics of the car for the gallery.
coilovers > bags

As someone who bought cheap coilovers (maxspeedingrods), DO NOT BUY CHEAP COILOVERS
AGREED they are shit idk why people speak so highly of them.
I just bought them, can you tell me more? Got them for my 92 prelude
@@PLSZNOPHOTOS idk what to tell you other than theyre just cheap crap, someone put brand new ones on a car i bought in the middle of December and in the beginning of january the car started riding like shit and sounded sketch and i raised the car up and looked at them and there was so much play in the struts from them being bent from them not being able to handle little bumps in my daily work route. They ended up ruining my outer tie rods aswell and i had to dump about 800 into complete new stock struts and outer tie rods aswell as getting the car realigned because they threw the car way off.
