I can't give any better advice to car novices: NEVER buy cheap coilovers. Save, be patient, I've owned both & they're night & day difference

Did you adjust them yourself, or someone else installed them? Been thinking on them for my GTI Clubsport but i mainly want coilovers to improve comfort. For comfort iv heard they recomend Koni Special Active's shock absorbers, then just going with original springs. Then again for the gti someone said you still need to swap the springs for comfort! 😄
@@tredfxman I had them installed in my favorite tuner car shop since 2020 after having H&R lowering springs for 2 years.
The roads of Manila are unforgiving so i just adjust the stiffness of the coils but these hold up well. When i cruise along the highway theyre as stiff as fuck.
The unfortunate thing is the prices jacked up and I was just fortunate enough to get a set from BC for my car. They dont make more of these since my hatchback is a niche among the ocean of other popular hatchbacks.
They are pretty clean can’t lie.

I ordered a set of gen 7’s before these were available and then like a week or 2 later got an email asking if i want to upgrade to gen 8’s for an extra 250 so I’m just wondering if its worth it to do so?

Geez I just got my Gen 7 F500's on my MK3 Supra two months ago. Still, hopefully I'm not missing too much. They are extremely nice coilovers and I'm happy with them for $1,440.

@@samjonas875 As stiff as you can imagine if you lower. Other than that pretty decent on the softest setting for street use.

@@Persocondes No idea. The 7th gens were what so many people used for a long time. Unless you can still get the 7th gen, since Fortune is made to order, the only thing you are getting from them is the new stuff.

Both ride good! I can speak from experience that BCs ride great, never had an issue with them! Heard good things about Silvers too, but I personally don’t know. -Edgar

I have a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe and I have looked for suspension everywhere and it only appears up to 17, but if I look for the one that comes from the factory it tells me that it is the same from 2015 to 2019. How about that I ask you because I see that you have experience
It’s all the same generation from 2015-2019. This means that all of the suspension is also really same regardless of year

Idk how much a difference the 1mm makes, if any, but perhaps it’s to create a tighter lock for the top one since it holds the preload? Not sure tho, that’s just the only reason I could think of for the difference

Cool and all but I still can’t wrap my head around the idea of paying the same price for just coil-overs as I would for my entire wheel and tire setup so I think I’ll just get some Racelands or Teins
you can try and justify it all you want going with cheap coilovers but at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
Never cheap out on things that will keep your car planted on the road (wheels, tires, suspension) your back will thank you

Okay, someone, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease tell me how bad the damage to car really is using coilovers and lowering the car height to just an 1" or 2". I've heard from 'experts' it's not bad at all and from other 'experts' they destroy mufflers, cause other under carriage damage to their cars, etc. I want these for my car but I fear the damage! I have splitters/diffusers/sideskirts on mine and that alone has changed my entire way of driving since installs (angled entrance/exit), and I hear the damage I'm causing to the very bottom of those pieces. Thanks! =).
Depends really, if your car is low to begin with stock height, make sure to check everything underneath that it isnt hanging. Driven plenty of low cars and currently am with my E36 and im fender to lip. No issues besides a few scrapes here and there on the bumper. Definitely changes the way you drive a little bit! Choice is yours tho. 👏 -Edgar
